So i noticed that it is available the smiles on mylot to personalize much more your post or just giving a personal touch about your mood or state of mind when you are writing your response or just to underline a concept in it!! So do you like to put smiles in your posts here on mylot? Do you think to allow just 3 smiles per post is ok or you would like to add much more in some cases? personally i like sometimes what about you?

Putting smiles on you're posts, usually shows that you're a kind person! Therefore, I think you should always put smiley's on you're posts, to show that you're a kind person! I do!

When i reach 200 and that mean i can use the smileys, I do include it to my comment and response. I did not try to use 3 smileys, it is often 1 or two and if it is allowed to use three, maybe mylot will think of increasing it more than three. Like if you reach 500 you can use the paste. In smileys i think it is good to see that we are allowed how many smileys we are to use when we reach the number of post. I love to use smileys.

Yes I doIt expresses a lot more than words can say. I am all for adding many more smileys , the more the better..I have somehow not been able to use the new smileys as yet, have got so used to the older ones that I am more comfortable using them all the time, but am planning to use one now - all the best and happy mylotting

Hi tony, I like putting smiles in my posts here. To me, the post looks rather lively with some smiles in it. We have more smiles now after the new version of mylot. It's fun to insert the appropriate smiles to emphasis what we try to express. Therefore I love it, especially the animated ones. I like the new and as well as the lovely I hope you like them all. I use the smiles of happy, thumbup and lol most of the time. Happy posting and have a nice day!

Hi tony, At one time when the smilys etc all came out I used them all the time but nowadays I don't tend to think about using them so it isn't because I am not showing how I am feeling it is that I mostly forget they are there...LoLo

I do like to put smilies on my posts and my favourite to put is and sometimes the . There are also times that I don't put smilies on my posts, specially to those serious discussions that it wont be appropriate to add one. I know that we can only put 3 smilies and I'm ok with it.

sometimes i very like to use the smiles chatting with other people. i think it is a only one way to give a personal touch about my mood or state of my mind. But i use a smile very rare at mytlot. why? i do not think that is important to show your feelings in the dissvutions. happy mylotting

I personally don't like using smilies all too often. I think that by using way too many smilies take away from the discussion. And, I think that if you're a person that uses too many smilies people start taking you less seriously because you're always using a smiley face or a sad face all the time. Personally, it would put me off. I only use them occasionally and will continue to do so. I also think they're a hassle to insert.

I use the sometimes or make my own. I forget to use them alot of times though. I did not know there was a limit on them. I have heard that there is though. I like to see posts with them in there also.

Emotiocons, that's what those smilies you can add to the left of the comment box are called, can be useful under certain occasions, as can text highlights. They can be overused though, and they do add to the lag of loading for slower computers (56.6 k or slower) as they are graphics. * Some MyLotters get acutely annoyed at seeing those smilies. They can be considered 'chat speak' where they are accustomed to a more formal writing form. Formal writing form calls for using various words to express emotions. For the formal writing frustrated MyLotters the three smiley limit is a Godsend from byteland. * I occasionally will use a smiley. It depends on what discussion I am in and if I am in a thread with a 'chat speak' writer or someone who's English may be limited. The latter I can see smilies helping a great deal, as the English language isn't easy to learn.

Hello again tonyllenium, well I sometimes will use the smiles if I think my answer will have a proper smiley to go along with it. I never tried to add more than one or two smiles to an answer..I wonder why we can't have more.. Now I will probably to try to use more on an answer
