I prefer mine to just be warm. I do not like to eat hot food! I have to let my food cool down until it's just warm, and I will blow on it a lot too. My kids are the same. For my younger 2 boys, I put their food in the freezer until I can comfortably stick my fingers into it. I just made a pot of coffee and it's still very hot! I'm waiting for it to cool. Do you like your food piping hot, or would you prefer it to be warm?

I don't like my food really hot, but I do not like it cold either. A happy medium works for me. I used to put my kids food in the freezer to cool it off when they were little too.

So you don't for your daughter anymore? Aydan insists his food goes in the freezer before he gets it. If I ever serve it up and put it in front of him he will yell at me until I put it in the freezer for him! He's very picky about certain things.

She complains if I try, so I don't bother anymore. She wants hers when everyone else gets theirs. I guess she feels left out. She will tell me it is "really hot", but won't let me cool it off.

I don't like mine to be too hot either. But i tend to just blow fast and then eat it. Sometimes I will eat it even if it is a little too hot for my liking. I've been trying to work on that lol. I make sure my kids food isn't too hot. Sometimes they have to blow on stuff too. I think it is good they learn that so they don't eat food somewhere else and expect it to be fine and burn their tongues.

Hey kats! I'm with you! I don't like my food to be too hot! I like it to be just warm enough to eat, but not too hot to burn my tongue! But, my boyfriend is just the opposite! I will take the food to the table and even if it is steaming hot he will make up his plate and put it back into the microwave and heat the whole thing up until it is so hot that most normal people wouldn't dare touch it,and then he will start to eat the food with it just about boiling in the plate and I will just sit there looking at him like he is crazy!

I live in a hot and humid country so most of the time I like to consume something that is cold. I like cold or iced coffee as a fact. I only drink hot coffee at work when the aircon is too cold for me. With soup, I don't like it hot but I like it just warm which is the same as you. I sweat when if I consume the soup if its still hot.

I guess I don't like it too hot but I think that is from years of not being able to sit down to a meal right away because I was always busy making up the kids plates. By the time I would get to my food it was either warm or room temp. I used to do the same thing with my kids when they were really small...put their plates in the freezer. At the time I lived with my parents and the kitchen had very low ceilings. The a/c vents are on the ceiling and I used to stand there and hold the plates under the vent. I was a pain but there sometimes wasn't enough room for 4 little plates of food.

I like my food warm as well. If the food is so hot it's burning the roof of your mouth it is not normal to eat, lol. My grandfather eats his food so hot he has basically recooked it, lol. I heat up the food then wait a minute or so until it is at a decent temperature and then I feast. I also would rather my food warm then cold so I guess I'm an in the middle temp food eater. :) Very unique.

I like my food to be decently warm. I won't eat it if I'm going to burn off my taste buds. That feeling is awful. I like certain foods more hot then others though. French fries have to be hott.. they are horrible once they cool down.

i don't like it to be too hot as well as it will burn my tounge which had happened many times to me... and i don't like the feeling of having my tounge burnt because after that my tounge will feel very thick and i can't taste any food for some times... so i like it warm as well... but in winter, i think i like it hot because the food gets cold very easily on those times... take care and have a nice day...

I'm not a lover of piping hot food, I prefer it when it's cooled down a bit also. I think this is partly down to when I was younger and I burned my tongue on some piping hot food and since then I have never eaten anything which is too hot. It's the same with hot drinks. I'm not a huge lover of hot drinks but when I do have one it is usually luke warm by the time I drink it.

Well I would say that it depends. I can really gulp down a very hot cup of tea in no time. Actually I developed this particular skill, courtesy always running short of time. Then there are times when I would feel a bit relaxed (which are rare occasions) then i would simply sit back and let my food or drink to get a bit cold. But to answer precisely to your question I love to have my food mostly hot.

I also like warm food. I don´t like food that´s too cold either. When I make a salad, I take it out of the fridge with time enough to be at room temperature. Icecream is something I soften (and heat to some point) before I eat. I´m sure the mouth is not meant to undergo such horrors as to be scalded or frozen Take care
