Does your cell phone have a camera??How frequently do you use it? I have a HTC Touch & Nokia Xpressmusic phones. Both of them have good quality cameras. But i rarely use them. The last time when i used the camera on my phone was for birthday party of my office colleague, where nobody was carrying a digital camera. Do you really think its an essential part of the cellphone??

My cell phone has a camera and I use it sometimes but not that often. When I want to take pictures I generally use my digtal camera and not the camera in my phone, but the camera in the phone is useful in some situations. I sometimes send pictures to my relatives or friends. Some days ago I finished one of my paintings and my father asked me to send him a picture of the painting, in a situation like that the camera is convenient, and it is a way to share things with people who aren't near you. I also used the camera to send pictures of my new cat to my friends. Yesterday I used the camera in a differnet way. It was my brother's birthday and I didn't have his new email address, so I found a nice birthdaycard online, took a picture of it and sent the picture to brother via the phone.

My phone is a Nokia, and I think the number is 6300. Before that I had an old phone without camera or colours, so I was happy when I recieved this phone as a present.

I remember not having a camera on my cell phone for years, and thought I really needed this. Then, about 3 years ago, I got my new cell, which was a really good quality camera phone at the time. To be honest, I rarely ever take pics. At first, I took pictures of the people in my phone book. That way if they called I could just look at the pic and know who it was. After that, through the years, the only time I really have used it is when I am somewhere and don't have my camera with me. Maybe, just a couple of times, I have used it to send a picture to someone. But not very frequently. That's probably mainly because it isn't part of my plan.

my cell phone has a 2 mega-pixels camera. i use it when i see something interesting that i want to share. i'll take a picture and show it to my family. however, i prefer to use a proper camera to capture memorable moments. after all, 2 mega-pixels isn't a lot and the resolution leaves much to be desired. a camera is not really a consideration when i select my mobile phone. i am using the apple iphone and i wouldn't want any other phone. not even if the iphone doesn't have a camera.

hi Vaibhav, i've got the iPhone 3G. it was launched in my country Aug last year. now that the 3GS is coming out, it's so tempting to get it too. the camera has a 2 mega-pixel camera. it is not able to capture details but good enough for candid shots. also, i can't take photos at night with it as the resolution is quite bad. as for transferring the images, i use iPhoto to do it. cheers

marley so cute - marley so cute example of my cell camera.
My cell has a camera and I use it often, especially now that I have a new puppy, he is so cute:) I am going to show one of his pics from my cell, if this is not a reason to use one's cells camera I do not know what it is. My cell camera is not the greatest but it does work and can come up with a good picture in my opinion. My cell is a cyclops kyocera from Virgin Mobile.

It is a 1.3 megapixel camera and sometimes it is not the best but with patience and time one can get good photos. My avatar was taken with it too and the frame is part of the phone as well, you chose a frame and then take the picture. Thanks :) I am proud of my puppy :)

My cellphone has camera. I always use it. For me, it's essential because the main feature of my phone is the camera. I own a Sony Ericsson c905 (8.1 mega pixels)

Yes, my cell phone has a camera, but I keep forgetting I've got it! A few months back though, I was a looking at a large tree with the morning light streaming on to it, and just as I wished I had a camera with me, I remembered I did in my cell phone. I took the picture and it turned out very good.. So I must remember my phone more often! - Derek

My cellphone has a camera, but I hardly use it. I still like to use the digital camera to take photos because the quality is always better than the cellphone. I love China

Yes, my cellphone has a camera. But I rarely use it considering that the megapixel is quite low. So when I use it, the picture quality is not that great. Often, when I take pictures, I use my digital camera. It is better considering that it has an 8 megapixel capability.

I own two cellular phones. I have a nokia, actually I forgot what model it is but it is the one with 3g and camera with flash which my sister is using now and a Samsung dual sim phone with a 2 megapixel camera. When I first got the phones and learning its features I often took pictures and videos to check if it is really working, then after sometime, I rarely use its camera. I only use it whenever we forgot to bring a digital camera. Most of the time I use the phone for texting and making or accepting calls only so I guess it just make the phone expensive.

i do have a camera phone. But i almost never use this since i don't like taking pictures much. it is essential in the sense that some jobs require you to take pictures of samples, etc. but it isn't essential in the sense that the cellphone is not complete without this feature.

I think it is not an essential part of a cellphone. I myself don't use the camera feature. I don't like the quality of a cellphone camera at all. I always still use a digital camera that has 10 megapixels. I used my camera in my cellphone just once. It was the day we went out to dinner with my friends and everybody forgot to bring a camera. We just used the camera in the cellphone for one group shot and that's it.

Hi, yes i have camera feature on my smart phone, but i am rarely using this feature except i have some interesting view to pick. How ever there is a better technology that increase of camera ability. I ever heard about 10 Mega Pixels camera its should take very good pictures. Just like expensive digital camera.I am more enjoy in video record activities in my phone, its because the picture is live and talk more than have some picture. This is my opinion, maybe there is another people who agree with i am.

My cellphone has 2mp camera i usually use on taking picture with my kids. I always wants to capture my kids milestone that's why i almost used it everyday. And also i used my camera cellphone on taking picture of my products i sell in e-bay. My phone is very useful to me and my business. I found out that bringing digital camera was not so very advisable it's give extra load on your bag and not so user friendly. Having cellphones with camera makes my life easier now.

The cell phone I last had did have a camera, and I used it often. The pictures were high quality and good for sending others or posting online. I got a new boost phone yesterday, very basic, to save on monthly expenses, so no camera.

Hey Peacefulwmn, Nice to know that you used your cellphone camera quite a lot. Which cell did you have and what were the camera specs?? You have mentioned that you got a "BOOST" phone...what does "BOOST" mean...is it a company name?? I havent heard it before...so just curious... Regards, Vaibhav

The camera phone was a Nextel i280, Motorala phone. The Boost phone/plan is also through Nextel, but no contract required, yayyyy!! For a flat 50.00 a month, you get unlimited use of all the features. You "re-boost" by purchasing a phone card of varying amounts each month. That way, you can control exactly what you spend, and again, I am so glad to out from under the contract. Every single time I want to upgrade or downgrade my plan, I had to begin the entire 2-yrs. from scratch, and I hated that!

Hey, I think what "boost" means is basically "pre-paid"..... Here you pay only for what you use and not for unwanted features.... Nice to know about that....i was not sure thats what it is called in the US...Here in India we basically call it "pre-paid"... Correct me if i am wrong. Regards, Vaibhav

I use it all the time! I found it very handy when I am out shopping and I see something interesting but do not necessarily want to buy it now. So I will snap a picture of it. I also went to this really quirky, funky store when I was out of town. They had the most unsual things in there. I was not allowed to take pictures with my camera. But I did get my cell out (trying to make it look like I was just reading a text message) and snapped some pictures of some interesting things I saw. I found out how to turn off the sound when the picture is being taken so no one could hear it.

Hey Lulu, I absolutely agree with you. Its a fact that you never know what you come across that you can actually take a picture of...and you can take a pic instantaneously.....thats where the cell phone camera can come in real handy.... But i must say that i havent experienced any such moments and probably thats the reason why i feel thats the cellphone camera is not really worth the cost.... So which cell phone do you use for taking pics and what are the camera specs on that cell phone?? Regards, Vaibhav

Yes, I think all the mobiles are made right now with camera. Because mine is the cheapest I find in the company I´m with, and has a camera! it´s not a very good camera though, not a professional camera, and not a lot of megapixels, but well, I am an amateur, so it´s fine by me. I use it often, maybe two or three times in a week to film some of my friends, parents, family, and my pets, when I want to explain some thing in a forum, and an image is worth more than a million words, that´s why I´m using it. Cheers
