Have you gone back to eating peanut butter?

As I was making myself a peanut butter sandwich a short time ago I wondered whether or not the people who stopped eating it had started back. For me peanut butter is a comfort food. I have very pleasant memories from my childhood associated with peanut butter. I did, in fact, stop eating peanut butter several months ago when they had the salmonella scare. I know that some people never stopped eating it though. How do I like my peanut butter? My favorite way to eat peanut butter is on any kind of crackers. Sometimes, however, I want just a plain pb sandwich on bread. Occasionally I will have jelly with my pb sandwich. How do you eat yours?

i dont eat much peanut butter but i didnt stop eating it even with those news about peanut butter having salmonella. I just buy those peanut butter locally and those brand that i know is reliable. i mean not all brands have this problem. i just eat peanut butter twice a month. I rather used jam or cheese or just plain bread or biscuits.

peanut butter is fairly healthy for you and i have eaten it a lot (almost every day for lunch) for many years. not only is it an easy sandwich to throw together after a tough morning at work, its inexpensive too. i usually have mine with jam.

That's weird. I didn't even hear that people had stopped eating peanut butter. I never stopped. I enjoy an organic peanut butter so i don't think it was affected by the peanut butter scare. I do also enjoy kraft peanut butter as well but i don't have it as often. My favorite way to eat peanut butter is a a wrap or in a pita. I put honey and bananas. Then i fold it over or wrap it up. A spoon of good peanut but is also great to have just to hold back your appetite until dinner. It has a good amount of protein in it.

I love peanut butter and will be on my way to make a sandwich as soon as I post this response. I buy peanut butter every month and love it. My favorite peanut butter being Peter Pan peanut butter. Just brings out the kid in me..lol I have always ate peanut butter even though I have a allergic reaction to some peanut butters for some reason because of their ingredients added to it. 98% of the time it is just plain peanut butter sandwich but I just got a jar of blackberry jelly and I am wanting to try with it..

I am not back to eating it personally but my daughter is. She started eating it again here in the past month. I assume it is okay now or it would not be out on the shelves. I sure hope so.

I haven't actually eaten peanut butter for years but reading this discussion has made me want to get some. I used to like smooth peanut butter and I would have it in a sandwich on brown bread sometimes with jam (or jelly as Americans say). It's also nice on celery I used to be given that a lot for a snack as a child.

In the areas where I've lived, nancyrowina, jam and jelly are two distinctly different spreads, and I love them both - as well as peanut butter.

i love peanut butter, I eat it on bread with butter and sometimes jelly, and sometimes I put bananas on it too. And sometimes I just go and get me a big spoonful and eat it off the spoon. It is a great source of protein. And it is good for your dog too. Vet told me I should give him a spoonful a day. MY hubby used to gt peanut butter milkshakes.

I'm beginning to think, bdugas, that peanut butter just might be a prime candidate for National Snack!

Oh boy, I love peanut butter. My mother used to make peanut butter when I was still a kid. I often help here in making the stuff and usually is the first one to eat the finish product. Well, now, I still eat peanut butter and in fact our ref never runs out of peanut butter. In most cases, I just spread peanut butter on sandwhich bread. But on some occasions, I also spread it on bananas. Typically, those are the two things that I use peanut butter with. I think, I have never outgrown my liking for peanut butter.

I love peanut butter. I always eat it plain. And yes it is a comfort food. But since the scare about the salmonella virus , I haven't gone back to eating peanut butter. I don't think that they have released clearance that it is already safe to eat it. I am just careful.

I closely watched the peanut butter scare. I didn't consume products that were made with peanut butter. However, I did use peanut butter for sandwiches and for making cookies. Peanut butter and fluff sandwiches is a cheap way to have lunch. I have at least 3 sandwiches a week or more!

I never stopped! I love peanut butter. But I have switched to the "natural" versions, without the hydrogenated vegetable oil. Not for the scare a few months ago. I have been switched to the natural peanut butter for several years now. In fact, I can't hardly eat regular peanut butter anymore.
