It's interesting that this should disappear just now... I am left wondering what the reason is for it having gone down at this particular time. Unless of course, the web hosting contract wasn't renewed since this was basically part of the election campaign. Could it be that it just doesn't exist anymore because they don't need it anymore? The other option is that they may need to change their stories on some of these issues if it appears that evidence that contradicts their version is becoming known or available. That seems a possibility to me as well.

I would be more inclined to agree with the former than the latter. You don't continue to pay for a website that you no longer need and removing "evidence" from a website is very easy for the administrator to do. You don't take down the entire site for that reason...in my opinion.

As Rollo suggested, it may be that the contract with the web host expired and the site was terminated. Maybe they ran out of smears to fight against. When a website bites the dust, everything goes...nothing remains at the web addresses...so there's nothing unusual about that. As far as mylot goes, I don't anticipate anyone forcing the admins to take the site down and I'm pretty sure it's still financially productive since we're still being paid every month. This site is not politically specific...there are too many other interests here...and there are too many forums sitting on too many servers for anyone to swoop in and take all of them down.

If that is the only site carrying Obama "smears" that disappears; I really wouldn't worry about it. There are so many reasons that web sites start and disappear that it could be anything; including, apathy that nothing had stopped him from becoming President. However, if a pattern develops and other "smear" sites disappear or "lose content"; then, you would have a reason to worry. I do not think mylot would need to worry about being "shut down"; but, they might have to delete some discussions and that has happened in the past for other reasons already.

Good intentions or no, I've never seen our country get so close to going down hill so fast.

I have a hard time believeing anything that's in the news anymore. You just never know what is going to happen in this day and age, what's rumour, and what's true. Everything is something or nothing these days, and most of the time we really don't know until something happens.
