What do you call your toilet paper?

I have just read some weird and different names and slang terms are used for toilet paper in countries around the world, including "loo roll/paper," "toilet roll," "dunny roll/paper," "shiitter paper," "date roll," "bog roll," "shiit paper/roll," "AP [for all-purpose] paper," "bum wad," "bathroom/toilet tissue," "jacks roll", "TP" or just "tissue."
So what do you call yours? I guess I am ordinary I just call it toilet paper..but hubby has another name for it..he calls it asspaper..lol
Do you know any different names for it?
Yes I am crazy for starting this discussion..lol

Hi ya AmbiePam, Thanks for responding to my discussion as crazy as it is..seems that not all are really different in calling it toilet paper. But it was fun just to see if they did..some came up with a few new names that was funny. Well, hope you have a good day.

usually i call it just TP but when I'm out

I'm pretty boring by the sounds of it and just call it plain old toilet paper! To embrace the spirit of the discussion topic, I guess I'll have to try and come up with something new though..... Ummmmm..... "Sphincter Scrubs", and "Butt Buffers"! I only woke up 45 minutes ago and have to head out the door in 5 minutes, so that's the best I can do for now. lol.

Thanks for the response MsTickle, I appreciate it alot...when paper is just said..make me think of newspaper or magazines...and just thankful It hasn't come down to having to use those yet..

Wow, now that was taking it a bit far..did others bring toilet paper from home? When we run out we will use paper towels till we can get some toiler paper, But then at times we just gotta use what we got right?

Years ago I worked for a family firm who sold dress fabrics. The old man who started the business was ancient and well known for his Scrooge attitude. He would only come in on Tuesday dressed impeccably in a beautiful suit and driven by his chauffeur in his Rolls Royce. In one section of the 4 story store, we sold patterns...every month we would throw away the discards and return the envelopes for credit. He wanted the discarded tissue patterns to be torn into squares for the staff to use as loo paper!

It's 'loo paper' for me when I'm using English. When I'm over at mother's I uaually have to add 'loo rolls' to the shopping list as we get through it quicker than when I'm not there lol.
Here in Italy it is called 'carta igienica' which literally translated is 'hygienic paper' which seems to sum it up nicely as it does get used in more places than just there I guess

Hello mysdianait, thanks for the response. I like that carta igienica, Yep toilet paper has many uses besides what it is supposed to be for. A lot even use it to remove makeup, for their noses,dry their hands on and many other things I am sure.

Well I can't say too much about it as in our house we just call it toilet paper.
I do have friends that refer to it as butt wipe, tp, skid remover, a$$ wiper, tp for my bung hole and a multitude of other odd things.
I think I'll just stick with toilet paper... lol

Hey thanks stephcjh for stopping by my crazy discussion. My husband has some other crazy names for the toilet paper as well sometimes..especially when we run out and have to rely on stuff they have at the convenient store down the road..He calls the thin toilet paper John Wayne paper..not so weird till you hear the reason why..because it is so rough and tough and it doesn't take any shiit..lolSorry for the cursing. But explaining it his way..

Hi mtdewgurl. I guess I'm ordinary too, because I call it toilet paper as well! LOL I'm pretty sure my husband has called it other things, but the only one that comes to mind is TP.

Hey sacmom, Thanks for responding to my discussion. ya, my husband has a silly sense of humor at times that is what made me attracted to him more. He has came up with some weird ones in all the 18 years of marriage..but his most used one was asspaper..lol When I hear TP I automatically think of a Indian tepee.

I've automatically thought that before too. Until I realized that it was about toilet paper and not an actual tepee. Now when I hear the word I automatically think toilet paper, even when it's about a tepee. That's what I get for having a nephew who was always talking about TP around my husband and I when he was growing up! LOL

I think hubby calls it the same, I don't pay attention I guess

yes i call it just the same as you. and so does son but his gf (i think because she thinks shes fancy) calls it bathroom tissue. she thinks everything has to have a special proper name.
im like you. i look up some of the weirdest things sometimes and if i dont find the answer i come hear to ask

oh my..i didn't imagined that a toilet paper have different names given by people to it..well, here in our house we have different kinds of tissue paper..
for the bathroom..we call it "tissue for bathroom"..and its always colored pink, coz our bathroom is pink..lol, and "tissue for kitchen"...and always white, but our kitchen is not white..its yellow, i think if my mom saw a tissue paper colored yellow, i think she'll buy it for the kitchen..lol

I would too since my kitchen is also yellow. and my bathroom is pink and maroon. But we get plain white toilet paper in there. Well, thanks for the response fheroan.

even if it's called tissue roll on roll's brands available at supermarkets, we still call it tissue paper. it really doesn't bother also if some will call it as napkin but i guess that it's more appropriate for girl's pads.

i personally for the most part only call it toiler paper...one thing i have called it besides that is TP...lol...i dunno of anyone who uses any real weird slang terms for the stuff...but i have heard that there are alot of wierds names around the world for it....
another thing i have heard is a bunch of weird other alternetives for even using tp that diff cultures do...i havnt heard any details but if anyone has any insights outta curiousity...fire away...lol

Hello WilliamC87 I know back in the old days they used different stuff besides the paper. But only alternatives I could think of is the cleansing clothes and the water sprayer. Thanks for the response.
