Ok, so I am getting married in August and I have decided to do tacos. We are on a budget and this way I am hoping everyone will be happy with their food, as they can make it how they want it. So tell me, what is your favorite topping? Any side ideas? What about your favorite drinks? Let me know what you suggest. Thanks! :)

If you are feeding alot.. best to go with simple. You get so much of stuff and it gets overwhelming. You don't need that on your wedding day! I like just the normal...cheese, lettuce and a salsa/hot sauce. You can add stuff like avacado, sour cream, onions and the list goes on.. but then you get into just to much of a good thing. Sides...beans and rice are the easiest and most popular. easy to deal with and you can scoop the beans with chips. Drinks.. pick 3-4 - one diet, one regular, one clear (like 7-Up) over a cola and maybe ice tea or lemonade...something for the kids. Then you could add chips and salsa... Have little cups for the salsa so there is no "double dipping" Good luck!

Thanks so much for your post. I have already gotten my drinks...lol. We were thinking along the same lines there. I am having about 75 people. I got regular and diet pepsi, regular and diet coke, and sprtie. I am also having lemonade and ice tea. We were thinking mexican rice, beans, and corn for the sides. We are also having a tostada bar, and a sangria fountain. It should be fun. Thanks so much for your reply!! Oh I love the little cup idea for the double dipping!!

Tostadas and tacos are basically the same thing.. just one has a folded tortilla and the other is flat... so it is a good way to make a "choice"... tostada or taco...and they use the same toppings! Nothing more to get! Thats a good option Yeah, gotta have the little cups.. can't have people standing at teh large bowl of salsa dipping their chips in.. and then dipping the other half that they bit off back in! Sounds like you got it covered!

I don't know that I have a favorite topping...I like them with meat, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream on top. We usually have taco's about once a week. The meat mix usually has hamburger, beans and ham in it. We mostly use soft shells but I also like the hard ones every now and then. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

The majority of shells I am going to buy will be soft, but I am also buying the hard ones. I know people like variety and one thing wil tacos is that they are cheap and easy.

I love tacos. I use ground beef, taco sauce, sour cream, shredded cheese, diced tomatoes, lettuce and some refried beans with mine. I also like to drink voke or tea with them too.

There are so many ways to do tacos. I think your first respondent had a really good idea. You don't want to have too much stuff going on. One thing I really like on my tacos though is black olives other than the basic cheese, lettuce, and sour cream. Good luck getting your taco bar ready for your wedding. I am sure you have tons of stuff to do still.

I like tacos with cheese and sour cream. They are very good and are nutritious and filling. I like Mexican food of every variety. You of course, will also need to have lettuce and tomatoes with your tacos. I think they are very good as well. I just like all of those things very much. Good luck with your tacos beef and chicken variety would be good.

Thanks for your post. We are doing seasoned chicken and beef. Just in case people like one over the other. I also was thinking people would be able to make nachos, or salads with everything that will be there.
