Do you get annoyed when somebody post numerous discussions in a row in one topic? I know I do. Especially if it is like a one sentence discussion. Or just has a title and no detail. For example if you go to a topic like shopping, and you see one person making like 10 deiscussions in 10 minutes that pretty much all sound the same, don't you get annoyed with those discussions. Share your opinions here.

Hi lala501, I feel the same with you on this matters. And most of it come from a newbies. We didn't mean to stop this newbies to make a discussion but they should check the older discussion before they post one. And that is stated in the guidelines that we should check the same topic post before we make one. I also bet annoying to see someone who post a few discussion at once. sometimes I can see the same person post 5 to 6 post in on pages alone. And all of it come with one sentence explanation. It is still okey if he/she have give a comment on every responses he/she received but I have found one that never give it to a single response he/she received. I don't really know why they made a post at the first place.

Same here, some mylotters try to post as many as they can even if it already is a total nonsense..maybe they think that the quantity of the discussion is what matters not the quality..some newbies should think first of what they post before they do..

Hi akuler, yes it is probably the newbies who do these types of things. We can't really blame them, but maybe we should warn them. The most annoying to me is posting a lot of discussions at once. Especialy when they don't even respond to the answers, like you said.

Being newbies is not a crime as we all came here as a newbies. But didn't know the things because of the laziness to read the guidelines or ask someone is the one.

When I get numerous discussions I usually only respond to one or two. I don't have time to respond to more for one friend.

Yea, they're just trying to get up their posting level. Heck, even if you reply the discussion isn't likely to go any further.

Yes, sometimes I am annoyed. But I try not to think them too much I just go directly to discussions which I loved to respond. I preferred discussions with detailed explanations so that I know how to respond and what opinion I would post to that discussion.

Yes those are the kinds of discussions I like to respond to too. One with lots of detail, but those now a days I harldy see anymore on mylot, because of spams and one sentence discussions.

They are just trying to get up their posting level, but it is very annoying for me too. And i think the other reason why they do this is to earn more money. I think mylot delete these post, aren't they?

Hi Tibor1450, The number beside your yourname is for the response or comment you made. It is nothing to do with your started discussion. You number wouldn't increase if you just started discussion. And you definitely would not earn anything after your first responder on your discussion. The only way to earn from them is by giving a comment on every response that you received. Meaning to say that if you start one discussion and get 100 responses but didn't give any response on that will earn you same with one discussion with one response. The only extra thing you will get for doing that is people who hate you or thinking that your discussion are not worth to responded.

If they are one line discussions, and they don't really give much of an option to open up a good discussion, it does annoy me. Like your example of shopping. They're discussions will be like: Discussion #1 Do you like to go shopping? #2 What do you like to shop for? #3 Does shopping make you tired? Those three questions could be pulled together in one discussions, and probably should.

Yes exactly. Why make 10 one line discussion on pretty much the same topic, rather than make one 10 line discussions on that subject? It waste less time, and is less annoying for other mylot users.

Technically any one can post such discussions. But it won't attract responses. After some period people would tag such mylotters' discussions as uninteresting. They may not even look at the posts at all.

For me, posting numerous discussions at the same time (almost) doesn't really matter. I am just concern about the poster, how can he maintain such discussions, all at the same time. There is one discussion I have read, on how to get one's post get more responses, it is to comment on each and every responses and if possible, comment to them as soon as they can. This is one move that I've learned to keep a post on top of the discussions of the day. Maybe they can get some reponses, from those who are interested. But to keep one of them in good status, in the hot list, will not be easy for him. Of course, if a topic is hot, then more response will come, and would mean more for his earnings.

Well I'm a bit annoyed but it actually depends. If the topics created were worth to discuss with, I'm replying. But if not and all that member want was to earn fast, I'm reporting it.. I hate spams..

Yes who doesn't hate spams. I have never reported anybody on mylot before, but I am beginning to think I should start. Maybe I should give everyone one more chance then it's reporting time.lol.

I don't like dealing with repeat discussions. I always avoid answering them, just in case myLot decides to delete them for being repetitive (and thus delete my answer, too, depleting my earnings). I just try to avoid them.

Actually I do,like you sometimes I get annoyed by some mylotters who post some discussion which is a total nonsense..one time I was interested in a discussion,it was a question about hobbies, but when I get into that topic I was totally pissed because the title of the topic is totally the same with what is written in the discussion and nothing more..no details and stuff so I just didn't reply because for me it was a total nonsense..~~,

Yes total nonsense indeed. What is the point of making a discussion if there is only a title, or in the detail section it is the name of the title? There is no real topic, to answer too, so I too do not reply to those type of discussions.

I know many ppl would say, it is MyLot and you are free and it might be the only time this person has and he/she is trying to make some money but is this the right way? As you said it is annoying as you try to read other ppl discussions but others might also tell you "don't go to other places that does not interest you" Or "simply signor them" but I see what you mean. Don't we all want to see MyLot the best of all? Isn't it better to post 2 or 3 good/great discussions rather than 10 or 20 meaningless ones? Besides this the fact that the post/discussion is empty with no details. Like saying "Help me do..." but you dont say do what, where, to who or when...etc. It is simple to say, just ignore the person and don't bother yourself with him/her but I think we'll end up ignoring the good things as well as the bad things by doing this. I think the best way would be if MyLot limited the discussions to be one or two hours apart to avoid this, what do you think? Thank you & happy MyLotting

Yes I think that is a good idea for mylot to limit discussions to be atleast one or two hours apart. That way we can reduce spam, and be less annoyed at the same time.lol. We also don't want to ignore all the discussions like you said. That way everyone won't be making any money, and nobody wants that.

Yes I do get annoyed. I do not get annoyed by one little one sentence discussion - if they will make a discussion like that - let them, but when there is like more of them AND more of them, I get annoyed. It is like they only post those to earn. Not cool.
@lala501 (1532)

Yes not cool at all. I am like you. Maybe one is okay, but when they cover up a whole page or 2 then that is really annoying to me. Also making discussions doesn't earn you money. Responding to them does, and if it is just a one sentence discussion, then there is only so much a person can say, so then all the replies would be almost exactly alike, so that's not good for them.

One thing I am seeing here in mylot is that more and more discussions are getting repeated with just a twist of a few words here or there. I really don’t know what the admin is doing about this but they are just blocking space for other original discussions and for people like us who like to respond to new discussions. And yes, the other problem is the one you have mentioned…a single member starting about 10 discussions in quick succession and thus occupying an entire page. It does become very frustrating for me, specially when I have to scroll over and over just to find another member or an original discussion to respond to.

yes...they take up space and make it harder to sift thru and find the ones really worth taking the time to respond to. Those are the ones you either ignore or if it is a new user, then maybe give them some advice like maybe read the rules here. Or you could try your skills at creative writing and see how descriptive you could respond to such a simple question.

I dont know if I would say I get annoyed, but I think it is pretty lame to post a number of one line discussions. I guess I am just wondering what other things I could be doing than answering really stupid discussions. They are all kind of strange in my opinion.

sometimes i am amazed myself at the rate at which similar discussions are being posted on mylot and i wonder if there are no regulations against such things, i do believe that some people often steal others discussions when they feel they cannot respond to discussions or just post their own

yes i do. but what can i really do you know. some of those numerous questions are actually pretty good questions. and the most i ever ask in a row is 2. like i ask one, one hour then 2 hours later no one is asking so i ask another question so it ends up being back to back questions. and oh the worst thing. i asked a question then this one person in front of me asked one and another one and another so then they ask about 5 questions maybe 6 then a different person asks one. then in the matter of 10 minutes my question is at the bottom of the page or the next page. so i think mylot should like do something about short questions and asking too many questions in one spot at one time.

It's either he or she has the problem or he/she didn't really read and know the rules in here. this morning before i slept at 3am i saw one of the newbie's discussion that she has 3 discussions all the same..i was about to tell her that she violated the rules but i was so sleepy to do so...
