The newest attack on protesters at town hall meetings comes from none other than Nancy Pelosi who, calling the grassroots campaigners "astroturf" claims that they are "carrying swastikas and symbols like that to a town meeting on healthcare." See the video here: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2009/08/05/pelosi_town_hall_protesters_are_carrying_swastikas.html Now I have searched the news, youtube and the net to find any instance of protesters carrying swastikas to health care reform meetings and I have come up empty. This is a blatant lie as far as I can tell and an effort to paint the protesters as neo-nazis. Seeing this reaction to the average citizen exercising his free speech, can you really believe anything else this woman says about anything? Can you trust her to reform health care? I wouldn't trust her to water my plants while I went on vacation, let alone put my life and the lives of my loved ones in her hands.

I was commenting yesterday that when any disapproval is shown towards Obama here on myLot you can expect some responses which are racial slurs, insulting or down right lies because they do not have any facts to rebut the issue. Now I see that Pelosi is also big on the lying and slurs. Every day I dislike this person more and more. Pelosi and Obama are a perfect pair of who should not be trusted to be in our government. I certainly agree that I do not want either her or her boss to be in control of my health care.

I am sure I am not the only conservative who finds it repulsive to continually being accused of being racist. The concept of racism, the nazi movement, the KKK, etc are all repulsive to me and to try to label me as a sympathizer with any of those types of organizations will only make me more strongly opposed to anything they propose. If they have to mudsling and use fear and intimidation to get their programs passed, something must be wrong with the programs.

I am conservative, & REPUBLICAN but I do not always vote republican - I vote for who I think is best. I dare anyone to call me racist for my views - I have a mixed race great grandaughter that I adore. On her fathers side she is distantly related to the Martin Luther King Jr. family. This thing with Obama is not about race - it is about stupidity and the ability to do what is best for our country. It saddened me when Colin Powell decided not to run for President - that is a man that would have made a great first black President and a great President period.

I saw that yesterday and it sounded so unreal I knew she had to be full of sh!t. Factor in that it was Pelosi who said it, and we all know you can't trust a word that comes out of her mouth. It's just another "everyone who opposes us is racist" load of crap from the left.

If this had actually happened, how would it be possible that none of the news networks would have reported on it? If there was any evidence whatsoever, where is it? I can't find anything anywhere regarding swastikas at these meetings except the instance of Pelosi saying it. They don't seem to get it. When they start making up lies about the good people who exercise their rights to free speech, whether at tea parties or town hall meetings, they are simply losing the respect and trust of the public more and more.

Don't forget Barbara Boxer who is sure that the protesters at town hall meetings are too "well-dressed" to be for real. Apparently, if you were a real American, you'd dress like a slob before meeting your congressional representatives.

Well said Rollo - my thoughts exactly. I hope the media catches on to the constant lying of this woman and drag her over the coals. She needs voted out of office ASAP. Would be nice to see Schwarznegger run against her and beat her by a massive majority.

I think her approval rating is pretty low, but whether her constituents feel strongly enough to vote her out, we can only hope.

I have seen several videos from the meetings and read articles and no where have I seen it mentioned except from her. She's just making this stuff up. They (Dems) are constantly using the race card. And you know what? If I did see someone there with a symbol like that I would wonder if it wasn't a plant. That is how much I distrust them and the media at this point!

Good point, and I wouldn't put it past them to plant someone like that. Then only Fox news would interview or investigate that person and then everyone could refuse to believe it was a plant because it was on Fox news. Brilliant.
