During your free time, or those days that you are off from work, what would you prefer to do? Do you want to just stay home or you want to take the opportunity to go somewhere? If you prefer to stay home then you are a homebody type of person, while if you prefer to go out and go to other places like mall, park, bars, etc. then you are an outgoing type, now which type of person are you, homebody or outgoing? Me, I am a homebody type of person. I would rather stay home than to go somewhere during my off days from work. My workplace is quite far from home so every working days is really tiring. That's why during my day offs, I would rather stay home and take a rest. Aside from that I can do a lot of things at home, and I'm not really the type that has the tendency to get bored when staying at home. Computer is my main reason of staying home, I can do a lot with my computer and internet. I only go out during off days if I have to buy something or if there's a special occasion or event to attend to, also if I have a date. Lol! I am really a homebody person. How about you, are you a homebody type of person or an outgoing one?

Hello Mark. Since I work from my home, on times off I used to love to get out, but I have cut way back on outings and such to save money in this difficult economy. I do like to make my times off special, even here at home, by doing or cooking something different, or by having guests. Balance in life is important! But for the most part, I am a homebody. Karen

We have the opposite workplace, you are working at home, I am working outside. So during off days, we also have different tendencies. You tend to go outside while I tend to stay home. Hehe! But yes, due to the difficulty of earning money these days, cost cutting is really important. Spending time with your family is really a good choice. Thank you for your response. Happy myLotting!

Excellent point! It's much better to stay at home and make money online rather than waste money offline by club hopping and getting drunk.

Peaceful, I am in kinda the same boat. I need to make money due to the fact that my husband is laid off and now I am trying to help with the cost of living. I love working online but like doing the outting thing. I agree with you that with the current economy issues I tend to stay home alot too.

I am definitely a home body person, when I don't have work, you would definitely see me in bed or in front of our PC just surfing the net and doing my usual online work... I don't like going out.. unless it's eating out.. . Even if I'm with my boyfriend, we prefer to just stay at the apartment, and watch tv or a movie, just sit there cuddling and telling stories.. I like it that way, I think it makes us more closer than going out to movies or shopping.

Yes you are, that is also what I prefer. It will really be cheaper and more private at the same time for you and your boyfriend if you will just stay in the apartment than going out. I can imagine the sweet things you are doing. Hahaha! I'm sad I don't have a girlfriend right now. Hehe. Thank you for your response. Happy myLotting!

i'm basically a homebody type who enjoys staying at home, potter around the house or play lazy after being busy from work. i'm not the type who gets easily bored either because i can keep myself amused or entertained for long periods of time. i do a lot of reading, cooking, sometimes writing, school projects for my nephews and nieces, stuff in the internet, seasonal arts and crafts, watch movies via dvds and cable tv, and communicate with family and friends via mobile phone. especially when my work involves a lot of traveling, i would prefer to just stay at home afterwards and do lots and lots of sleep and plenty of resting... just to get my energy back. -lol- however, if my work involved a lot of time being stuck in the office, facing the computer, hitting the books and punching numbers... i would be raring to go out... to any place that isn't related with work... just to unwind. -lol- i will do a bit of shopping, eat out, watch movies with friends or to some extreme, i will go out of town and take a short vacation somewhere. i'm not fond of going to the mall just to window-shop, there has to be a purpose. and since i'm too picky with food, i haven't been adventurous in trying new restaurants or food shops either. at home i can be in the company of family and friends and have fun in comfort. we can have board games, card games, video games, videoke etc. and i can have fun also by myself, no problem. when i go out, it's more fun to be with somebody and do things together.

yes, it's really nice to be surrounded by family and friends. i'm really glad that my family is very close-knit. we can have fun both in and outside of home. and whenever i can, i spend a lot of time with my friends also. actually i had lunch with a couple of friends at home that lasted about 4 hours. when they came over earlier, we were supposed to talk about some business... good thing we managed to... above the laughters we had shared while having lunch. it's times like this that i am glad we're at home.

There are really uncountable things that we can do at home. I also don't get bored staying at home. But still, sometimes we also need to go to other places to unwind. You have good people around you that you can spend time with, so either staying at home or going outside with friends will be both great and fun for you. You are lucky though. Thank you for your response. Happy myLotting!

I'm definitely a homebody. When I was working full time, I had to deal with traffic jams, parking woes and tight schedules, so much so that during the weekends/evenings that I just wanted to hide inside my house and hibernate. Now that I'm working part-time, I still prefer to stay home, and just do the necessary once-a-week grocery shopping, plus once-a-while obligatory visiting and meeting up with friends.

Well i go out a lot when i was`in my country Nigeria..but as i relocate i minimize my going out due to the fact that most people here dont speak much english, no courtesy, to avoid any harassment what so ever and i dont have much friends to go out with here. So go out when i see that its been a while since i go out or feels like taking pictures....

I'm a homebody type too. I'd rather just relax at home than go out with my friends. It kind of bothers me sometimes cause it makes me feel like I am not living life I am just wasting it laying around. It's a weird thing cause I have no drive to go outside and do things. From what I have been reading here I guess it isn't necessarily a bad thing to be a homebody.

I am definately a homebody. I rarely go out at all, and there are a lot of times that I will make excuses to get out of going places. I feel that I pay rent to live in my home, I want to enjoy my home. I also prefer not to have company very often. I like it best when it is just me, my kids, and my husband at home. No one else, no going out, no one else's drama. I don't mind people coming over once in a while, but I enjoy my family and my space. I feel like my space is being invaded when people are around all the time. For me, going out somewhere usually means that I have gone to work, ran errands, and gone to the store. I think that in the 3 years that my husband and I have been together, we have gone out a total of maybe 3 times, once to dinner and a movie, once out to lunch, and once to go Christmas shopping and grab a quick bite at a fast food place. We may go fishing as a family, but it is always somewhere secluded and no one else is around, and even that only happens once in a while.

I would say that I am about eighty percent homebody and twenty percent outgoing. most of the time I am perfectly content staying home, watching a little tv or a good movie, maybe reading a book, or sitting here in front of my computer. but every once in a while that twenty percent pops up and I just want to get out and do something. I don't really enjoy the bar scene any more, but maybe a nice dinner with friends or a movie.

generally i m outgoing type of person if you are a home seeker then you will not gain knowldege about anything except newspaper or television but going outside will have an impact on knowledge as well as on health.you will discover something new daily but at home generally you become lazy

I disagree with you that we will not gain anything for staying at home. As long as you have internet at home, you can learn a lot. I believe that you can learn more in the internet than being outside where what you will mainly get are gossips and latest happenings. I have time going outside because I work during weekdays. That's why I prefer to stay home to relax during weekends. I also do exercise at home so I'm also taking care of my health. Anyway, thanks for your response. Welcome to myLot!

Due to my Pisces nature, I am a homebody. I'd rather stay at home and draw or paint when I get bored rather than go out. But every couple of months I start to feel cooped up and then I'm dying to go out. Once I'm out for a couple hours though I can't wait to get back home to rest.

Yes, I am a homebody. It doesn't bother me to be in the house for days on end. I got everything I need in my own little space. I never get bored because I have my satellite TV and of course my computer to rely on. All the gossip I want to hear is right at my fingertips or at the other end of my remote control. Some people ask me how can I just sit in the house all day everyday. I say that I enjoy my own company, plus I keep myself out of trouble that way. Not that I'm looking for it when I'm out, but it never fails; trouble somehow finds its way to the party not looking for it.

I'm definitely a homebody. When I do go out, I actually prefer to do quiet things like horseback riding, going to movies, quiet dinners with a few people. That doesn't mean my personality isn't outgoing, though! I actually get along well with most people, but just don't really enjoy being surrounded by large groups of people in a bar-type situation.

Hi mark, I'm a work at home mom so I would have to say that I'm pretty much a home buddy, but because I have a small child I also find time to go out every now and the. It's a good thing that we live just a stones throw from the beach so every afternoon my little girl and I go to the beach or the park for a stroll. It's cheaper and I love walking because it helps me stay fit.

Hi Mark, I am a homebody just like you. I always look forward to weekends because it's the time to get some good sleep, cook and bond with the family. Even in my younger days, in school I never joined peer groups who would arrange to watch movies, go to the mall, or just meet somewhere. I was happy staying at home during free time. When I started working I had officemates who would go on "gimmick" (is it still the term you use these days? Gosh, I feel old!), or a night out or any group outing. As far as I can remember, I only went a very few times and that's because I was pressured to go or I felt like I needed to socialize.
