Obama's Healthcare Plan

Obama's healthcare plan is to expand the coverage of the healthcare policy to make sure every American citizen has coverage. As well as lowering the cost so American's can actually afford it even those of a lower income status. The population of those without healthcare is constantly growing because we aren't holding the insurance providers responsible. They are constantly jacking up the prices of coverage and lowering what kind of coverage you can have in order to put more money in their pockets. What do you think of the current situation we are in? What do you think we need to do to change it? and finally What do you think of Obama's plan to recover the healthcare system?

Senator D* Durbin, Democrat, says he will vote for this bill even if it doesn't include a public option. That means no health care option for the uninsured. Will you still support it? If it's about health care for those who can't afford it but they go ahead with it even without that option to give the poor that health care, will you still be in favor of it?The point is not to improve your health care, or to insure the poor obviously. It's about government control of your health care. Look around and see what government does well and think about it.

I very much agree with you. The government is more about controlling rather than "helping" so to speak. They want to spend the American tax dollars in the most ridiculous of ways. Such as cash for clunkers. The cars are perfectly fine yet they are spending three billion of our tax dollars, to fill up wastelands? I will never support anything if it doesn't help the lower class, because many times government focuses on helping the citizens who can put back into the economy rather than the ones who actually need it. That's my personal opinion.

i want the health plane to pass for a few reasons for one i have no health care they took it i am fighting to get it back and as far as privite health care it sucks big time my husband pays almost $300.00 a month and it only covers himself at the drs thats all and some of the meds if he needs it his copay is $50 and the messed up part is he still gets the bills for every thing so how the heck is that real health care i don't think he should have to pay that much money for a little his eyes and teeth are not covered under that he has to pay seprite for each of them but the only thing he got added was eye and that i am on other than that there are all these people out there that are paying for the health care and paying a big amount but the health plane is not really paying for any thing , plus there are a lot of people out there that need it and can not get it because they are on ssi,ssd or they cant aford it because it costs way to much so i want this bill to pass and yes i did let my rep know this and how i feel about it i also let my senator know as well .

My daughter has been on SSI since she was three. She's always had medicaid which is automatic with SSI. She now receives SSI and SSDI, still on medicaid. She doesn't even have to apply for it.

i think people need to stop panicking first of all. i think the idea of lowering the cost is absolutely necessary and it has to be affordable for all not just for some as it is now. my husband is self employed and we are a very small company so we have no coverage at all. when i looked into getting coverage we could not afford any of it. luckily we qualify for nj family care right now but if things improve for us financially we will lose our healthcare for our entire family. so where is the incentive to strive to do better? i think that the people who are making the most noise are the ones who are listening to propaganda and hype and that already have really good coverage through and employer and they just do not want to lose what they have. i also think that people are panicking and do not really have all the facts especially those that are talking about socialization in this country. we need an overhaul of our healthcare system and that is the bottom line. how to do it is not my area of expertise and i would not even try to assume i know anything about a solution. i just know we need one and fast.

Seeing all these uncivilized behaviors of the town hall meeting is disgusting. This health insurance reform plan is becoming a partisan battle ground for both parties. With rumors flowing around in party website, i can understand all these people acted out like they are going to lose everything they have in their entire life. lol!!!

I hope Obama's plan will recover the healthcare system! I'm sick and tired of paying for insurance that keeps going up and up every darn year! It gets harder every year to pay for it! Everyone needs health insurance coverage(US citizens)! I'm hopeing when it passes it'll work! I'm also sick of hearing people misinterpaning the health care paln of Obama's! Not everyone is going to be happy with this plan but you can't make everyone happy! I can't wait for all of this to over with!

I think the current situation we are in right now is a bad one. People are not getting proper medical attention that they need, just because they don't have enough money to pay for the treatments. We need to do a lot more to change it, such as the government covering for treatments and medicines that cost more money. I think Obama's plan to recover the healthcare system is good, but still needs quite a bit more work in my opinion.

Yeah it definitely needs to be refined a bit more. But we didn't get in the situation we're in over night and we're not going to get out of it over night.

"Obama's healthcare plan is to expand the coverage of the healthcare policy to make sure every American citizen has coverage. As well as lowering the cost so American's can actually afford it even those of a lower income status" Noble mission, granted. To answer your direct questions, in order of apearence:..it needs help...yes...it sucks. Before we go and dismantle an entire system and replace it over night, lets first have a long, reasonable conversation on it. Lets examine carefully what the real problems are, lets identify what still works, lets do this sensably.
