My favorite character in the world of Harry Potter is Professor Dumbeldor. I like his power to govern the school of Hogwarts and his ability to keep his memory in a basin, which i suppose only he can do.

I think several people can keep their memories in a basin. I don't think it's special magic... Dumbledore is one of my favourites as well, but Michael Gambon (Dumbledore in 3rd to 6th movie) is not how I imagined Dumbledore would look and act. I liked the first Dumbledore in HP 1 and 2.

Yeah, not only Dumbeldore who can do that, many people at the magic world can do that. But I also like Dumbeldore, just like what said at the Harry Potter 5, "Dumbeldore has a style". I like hm because he smart, wise, and he is one of the best at Harry Potter.

My favourite character from the Harry Potter series is Lord Voldemort. I, however, don't like the actor who plays Voldemort in the movies: he makes Voldemort sound and look dumb. Voldemort runs around like a monkey in the movies, but in the books he walks slowly or he'd teleport to where he wants to be. You can imagine how powerful he is in the book, but Voldemort makes me laugh in the movies.

Yeah, Voldemort at the movie is sucks. I don't like him because he not suitable to play as the bad character, I think he has funny face (baby face) at the movie, hahaha... I don't know voldemort at the book, because I never read the book. I'm too lazy to read the book, because it has too many page.

I actually like the actor who plays Voldemort in the 4th and 5th movie, I think he always plays a good bad guy. He played a really horrible nazi in Schlinders List, and he played a serial killer in Red Dragon, combine those two along with a snake face, and you got Lord Voldemort

Oh, really?? Well, but I confess that Voldemort is indeed and amazing character. He will truly be always remembered as one of the best villains ever, just like darth vader. I quite like the movie's Voldemort, his noseless look is really disturbing, and Ralph Fiennes, the actor who plays him, is just fantastic.

I had two favorite characters. One is Dobby, the house elf. As someone on myLot already said, he's the unsung hero and I'm a sucker for those. My second favorite character is Ginny Weasley who I like because she knew what she wanted (mainly Harry) and decided she was going to fight for that. That's a pretty powerful impression to leave on girls. I've always been a fan of strong women especially strong young women who knew what they wanted and weren't waiting around for some man to give it to them.

I've always liked Snape, during book one, I didn't like him because I thought he could be the bad guy but after he saved Harry basically, that's when I realized I liked him, even though he was a mean jerky teacher. Plus I got so sick of Harry constantly complaining about him, I really like Harry, but he needed to get over that stupid "oh don't you talk about ma daddy" crap. I read all of the books but don't want to post any spoilers in case someone else hasn't.

Yeah, for anyone who have read the last three books, Snape has surely become a fascinating character. It's hard not to give any spoilers, but lets just say that I love dark characters that hides a deeper truth, tricking you about his true self. He is not my favorite character, but he is the most intriguing, interesting and ambiguous character in the Potterverse.

I would say Ron Weasly. He is Harry's loyal friend. He always helps him no matter how scared he is. I also like how throughout the whole series he has a serious crush on Hermione, but he somehow seems to keep his cool, except for when she goes to the dance with Victor Krum

Ron is funny in the books, his brothers Fred and George are my favourites as well.

Draco's a jerk, but I liked him - because of the "bad boy" image, and because I think there's a soft interior hiding under than hard exterior. But I could be wrong. lol. I never liked Harry for some reason...He's too much of a do-gooder. Maybe Ron, because he's kind of cute (in a sweet sort of way), and is funny. So I guess my answer is both Ron & Draco!

For me my favourite character is the beautiful Hermione, and when she dressed up for the ball to dance with Victor Krum in The Goblet of Fire she looked absolutely stunning! She's intelligent and she has saved Harry Potter on numerous occasions, it is great that a girl is depicted as being the cleverest student and I hated it when Snape put her down and she was despised as being a Mudblood. She is the true herione and I think Harry Potter wouldn't have succeeded hadn't Hermione been around to save his skin throughout the films!

I think hermoine character, emma watson is cute girl right from the 1 part of harry series.Other charcters that are well fitted for the role are snape(cruel and arrogant looks), Malfoie(for bad guy look), Dumbledon in part-1 series (kind and intelligent looks).I too agree with you Cedric charater was quite good though he was having small role in it. I somehow didnt like harry character right from the first part may be the charcter as picturised in the novel does not suit the boy. I think Ron palyed charcter culd have been much better for that role.

Ginny, Fred, Sirius, Bellatrix and McGonagall. Ginny is the only girl in a family with six older brothers. She had no choice but to be a hard core chick and I love her attitude. It's kind of hard to tell in the movies because the twins are identical and you never really get to figure out which one is which, but in the books, Fred has almost all of the best lines and is kind of the leader between the two. I'm not exactly sure why I favor Sirius except that he takes care of Harry even when he's not supposed to (which eventually ends badly). Bella is another who is not as interesting in the movies but I love love love Helena Bonham Carter so I am naturally drawn to Bellatrix. McGonagall is a feisty Irish woman who doesn't let a lot get past her. No matter what the kids think they are getting away with, McGonagall knows about it, on some level, but she chooses her battles very carefully.

GINNY! OMG, I love that red head. She's the toughest girl in the Potterverse. She's not as whinny as Hermione. Ginny is really an independent, strong "almost-women", but also really cute and girly. Seems like she came right out of a Joss Whedon story! I love her in the sixth movie (more than in the sixth book).
