How often do you replace your bras? & undies?

I think I replace mine every 2-3 years depending on how many bra's I have are holding up. Undies, depends on the normal monthly wear and tear if you know what I mean. But usually I buy 1-2 multi-packs a year to replace those that have seen better days. I work @ a store and when we have a foundations sale you can't imagine how many people spend a couple hundred at a crack buying replacement stuff.

I feel replacing bra and undies, if i going somewhere, i try to have new ones if i am going out of town, or have school activities before, and when we visit friends and relatives, if i am not going somewhere i use to replace it once a year, because the cotton is very strong and not easy to break.

I do once in a while buy a new one for special occasions. But that's usually cause the ones I have are very shabby @ the time or they will show with the outfit I"m wearing.

I don't have a regular pattern of when I replace my underwear, but I replace them when I have to. I pay more attention replacing my clothes that people can actually see rather than what's underneath. :P

That is so true and a very good point at that! That's one of those things I could never understand if you paid $1 a pair or if you paid $15+ a pair, if no one is going to see them or they may fall victem to monthly cycles eventually there's no point.

Usually I wait till they start getting old, stretched out or holey. I really don't like to shop for clothes, I'm a big person and it's always a pain but when I have to I do it. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

I hear ya I'm plus size so it's not the most fun thing especially if you are shopping for something specific. Though atleast selections have improved over the years, as the buyers or some fool in the fashion world though that only older folks were heavy or tall so they designed everything in polyester & big prints. YUCK!

only replace my bras when it really starts looking like crap(to me). my size is hard to find and expensive.i usually reserve a couple "good" ones tho that i don't wear often. undies is kind of an impulse buy.they don't cost as much so you can get more more often.

I hear you about finding sizes when you need them no less. FOr me it's usually not so much the size I suppose as the fact that either everyone must wear my size or what's left on the sale racks are the ugly ones.... not that I usually care. But you know you look & all the cute ones are for either bigger cup sizes or are too small going around.

OMG, I've had my bras for about 10 years. They're dingy and grey and I've had to sew them together in places. But have you seen the price of decent bras?! I really need to buy new ones, and I probably will when all my legal stuff with my ex is over with. My panties, well, that's sad...I've got a pair that's 5 years old and most of them are at least 2-3 years old. At $8-10 for 5 pair, it's a bit pricey so I'll mend them as much as I can till they fall apart!

Yes I've seen the prices of decent bras. The ones I splurge on are usually like $30-40 but I wait til they have their semi-annual b1g1 free or whatever deal. But many of those have lasted many years. I've tried discount store styles and I do not like the fit or how they wear. And I'm sure you know if you wear underwire that you can pull the under wire out if it pokes thru and they still wear just fine, not as pushed up but still fine.

THey do take some getting used to. Usually for me if they are poking funny then it's the wrong style or brand of underwire. They do help with giving them a bit of a lift wich is nice, but again you have to get the right style for your build.

I tried underwires once and can't for the life of me see the advantage. I itched, hurt, and finally threw it away! I have sensitive skin there and can't stand it. Funny enough, the rest of my skin is very serviceable! I never burn, just tan, and have no skin allergies whatsoever.

I agree multi-packs are the way to go. They may not be the greatest in style or patterns but they get the job done ;0)

As needed... which isn't often enough. As you can imagine with my income and # of children, my needs and wants are certainly towards the bottom of the list! I get a new bra when my favorite breaks or rips. I get new panties when I need to. Occasionaly I'll grab new ones if I see a good sale or whatever, but that would entail that I have the extra money to spend, which isn't often.

THat's one of the worst things about being at home with your kids. A Mom's wants and needs are at the bottom of the list. Sometimes that frustraits me with the kids I know they don't understand but I'd like to go to a nice salon and get my hair done not do it my self, if I even have the DIY money at the time. Sux, but one day the kids will all be in school and the oldest trust worthy of watching their younger siblings here and there and maybe get back to a full time job or atleast that's one of my hopes in a few years. In the mean time just trying to keep things going & look forward to the future.

I don't really have a certain time frame of when I replace them but I sorta have a bad habit of always buying cute panties when I see them. So I have...well too many to count off the top of my head so I rarely NEED to replace them because I have so many pairs. Bras I usually buy a new one every 6 months or so just to keep them from getting old looking and such.

I wish I could say I had that problem with too many cute panties. Unfortuanly in my size & price range there isn't a whole lot of any kind of cute unless want a thong or g-string that don't fit properly half the time anyways.

I spend a lot for undergarments. I am very fond of sexy lingeries and buy a lot of them mostly of good brands like Victoria's secrets. Also, I don't use them for a long time. I will get bored of them after using it fo sometime and leave them even they are in ok condition. I will never use an underwear if it gets stains from blood.

I don't mind buying the brands, cause they do hold up better for me but I don't always have the money to replace what I have. I usually save the stained ones for that occasion so I don't have to keep replacing them.

I replace my underwears and bras when they get looking old, I dont' always buy new underwears and bras, not like clothes and shoes. I think I buy it like 2 - 3 times a year. When I buy the new one, I just dump the old ones.

I really need to go thru my drawer and get rid of my old ones. I don't wear them and all they are doing is taking up space... thanks for reminding me I need to do that.

I change bras every 2 years at max and the undies go before six months. I think it is hygienic that way.

I can see what you are saying on that for sure. I just wish I could afford right now to upgrade or replace what I have unless it's necessary.

I buy at least two every year and replace them if they are not tight as usual. Sometime I choose bra depend on the clothes I take. And if i am at home, i don't take bra. But i buy undies more than bras, i buy the beautiful ones when i see them.Because you should change undies every day and wash it ,so the life of it is shorter than bra.

Don't forget our underwear usually are not made as sturdy as mens and of course they do not have to contend with menstration damage either.

Hey there, usually I buy a few bras like say 5 at a time and use like 3 of them at a time then I will replace them in 6 month to a year. For underwear I buy packs of 3 usually or sometimes I buy them separate it depends. But they get replaced whenever they get worn out. So I always make sure I have extra of each on hand though.

Definiatly need to keep extras on hand especially of undies. You never know if you need to change them more often than not sometimes depending on your menstral cycle & products you use, if you have bladder issues ect.... Or as the old addage goes.... "always wear clean underwear" in the retrospect that you don't want to be the ER for any reason and your undies are substandard. But also figure if you are in the ER that's probably the least of your worries at the minute. And if you are very ill or whatever occured you probably messed them up anyways *LOL*

I normally replace my bra's every couple of year's. As for my bloomers, I do those about once every 4 month's. I figure that they need to be replaced alot more often then bra's. I don't buy anything expensive no one is looking at them anyway's.

THat's true if you have no one to look or they don't care what you are wearing in the first place no point in spending all that money.

I don't know. I usually replace my bras when the wires start coming out or when the the cup goes out of shape. Sometimes I buy new ones anyway when there's a sale. Make up probably gets used up quicker

I've done ok by pulling out the underwire and wearing them still (see above post).
