Would you be upset if Myspace and Facebook closed their site?

I have a Myspace and a Facebook and I am on there almost everyday. I communicate with friends and family and I love doing it. I would be lost for words if the sites did close down. I keep in touch with old friends I haven't seen in a long time. It is really nice to see and hear from them. To take that away would be really bad. This the only good way to keep in touch with old friends. I really would be lost without my Facebook or Myspace. The person who has invented them are pure masterminds. I wish I could have thought of the idea of Myspace or Facebook. It's a great way to keep in touch with people.

Hello! Oh, I have thought about getting rid of myspace page , but I love the music playlist I have on their . I like facebook beecause it is simple and seems more mature . But who knows when I get a little older I might just check in once a week if that! Now its when I can usually once a day or each other.

hmm..these social networking sites have a particular time that they keep us busy. After a while we all become bored of it. You must be keeping your playlist on myspace changing quite often that's why you aren't bored of it yet :)

The thing about Myspace and Facebook is they aren't the first social networking sites - there were sites like Xanga etc. out there but they just didn't catch on as quickly and as broadly as those 2 sites. The site concept is great and with Myspace I think its just "old" now. I just don't like the layout of it and I much prefer Facebook so that is what I've been using. I still have my account but I haven't been on it for at least a few months now. Now if Facebook closed it would completely suck. Facebook is a place where you can mass talk to people without waiting for them to come online or have to call etc. Its a great way to gather friends and share a ton of information quickly. For a college student its a necessity but I'm not sure if once I graduate if I'll be as into it. Who knows.

Hello! Yes I would be sad and sometimes I think about this. The friends I know the most I know all the contact info and everything so that would be ok . But it has got me in contact with some many old friends and that is the only way we talk . Also i just have online friends and that would suck so bad . Those social sites are something i am used to and love to chat it up on them and keep in touch. I dont think it would happen!

I don't really care about it, because i have not joined the two sides yet. personally i use skype a lot. to me it's a good way to keep in touch with my friends and family. also i think skype is very easy to use and very stable. if i have time maybe i will join facebook, some of my friends already have it and persuaded me joining too.

I enjoy facebook. It's a lot of fun, and I would miss it if it shut down. I've reencountered some old friends, and connected more with a lot of people. I'm not on myspace, so it wouldn't affect me.

I would not be upset if either one of those sites closed down. I am joined with both of them but I never visit either one of them. I just do not have the time or the desire to. I sopend most of my time here instead and my other paying sites.

For me they are just tools to communicate with others like friends and families, I guess even if they close down, we still got so many other channels to communicate with them.

maybe to some extent i will be upset because i will not have the chance to chat or send messages to my friends and that may mean i will have to lose them again, these websites have helped me in locating so many old friends which i do believe mean a lot to my life

ya that is right, this is the good way to keep in touch with people & friends online, I have a facebook profile but I dont like it more as its not as comfortable as orkut, so I am using orkut the most and come to myspace so I have got some invitations from frnds to open a acc. & profile bt I havent opened yet, bcoz I think ORKUT is the best site to keep in touch with people......

I don't use MySpace but Facebook is great and I use it several times a day. It's a geeat way to stay in touch with people, arrange events and meet likeminded individuals. The games are fun too and I enjoy sharing photos. I would definitely feel a little lost if it disappeared.

I am always on mylot but i am using facebook because i think it is good for connecting with people, it would be a shame to close facebook because i like their games. I do not know on MySpace but I think it is a great site so there is no need for them t be closing it because it has many supporters.

well, truth be told, we chinese gov has banned facebook for a long time this year because of some political reasons. We are not used to that at the begaining, we just accused what they did. But there is no response. Then months later we do get used to living without facebook. The truth is, it s not a problen of 'would u be upset..'it is 'would u get used to living without those stuff'. so we just proved ourselves facebook and myspace are not that vital in our daily life for we can communicate in other better ways, like face-to-face talk or sth else. In some aspects the disapperence of facebook is a good thing cuz it pushed us to the real world we live.

I have a Myspace and Facebook profile but I consider they should pretty much run by themselves: they only add to my online presence and "socialising" in this way isn't essential for me. I keep up with my real life friends in other ways. In other words, if MySpace or Facebook suddenly disappear,I won't lose sleep over their demise.

I have joined facebook recently, i am a regular user of Orkut. So, if facebook and myspace is closed then there will not be any problem at least for me. however, taking it in the context of any social networking sites, I think life would become boring if these sites are closed. Though, it has not been there for long, but once we become its user, we came to know about its importance and then it will certainly hurt seeing these sites offline...

I have been trying to delete my MySpace for a long time because I never use it anymore. No one I am friends with uses it anymore so it is kind of pointless to have. So I wouldn't mind if MySpace closed down. I do use Facebook though. All of my friends and classmates have it, and some of my family members do too. So I use Facebook all the time. Since I use so regularly and just about everyone I know has it, I would be really upset if Facebook closed down its site.

I do have a Facebook and Myspace but I don't bother much with Facebook anymore, I guess I just got bored with it. I do go to Myspace everyday, my son moved pretty far from home and we talk on there almost everyday.

well since i'm always on mylot i have no time for facebook and myspace plus i have lots of studying and a job. but if i actually went on there alot like i did during summer. sure i would be upset, but i think i would get over it because i think sites like that would warn you so all i would have to do is give everyone my email that i would make just for myspace and just for facebook. and then i'll find a new social networking site because i know of alot because i'm on like 8 social sites now maybe more. so i would just tell them to add me on there. i can't be too upset at those websites because it was a privledge to be on there for free. so being mad probably wouldn't help anything. thats my reaction. well happy mylotting.

I'm on Facebook regularly. I have connected up with lots of people I had lost track of and I've even gotten a job networking on there. So, yes, I would be upset if Facebook closed down. I've never used Myspace, so I can't really answer to that.
