If you could have any super power, what would it be?

Hubby and I got into this conversation the other day because we watched My Super Ex-Girlfriend (which is a good movie, by the way) and they had actually asked the same thing on the movie.
I think that if I had super powers I would want some sort of ability like flying or something. I've always wondered what it would feel like to fly of my own accord and everything, like birds. :)
If you could have any one super power, what would you choose and why?

I would want to be able to make myself invisible...then again...being able to teleport myself from one place to another would be nice...

Invisibility would be cool, but I'd be too afraid of what I'd find when I was invisible. There are some things I don't want to see or overhear and I know I would always stumble onto those things. xD
Teleportation would be pretty awesome, though. It would most definitely cut back on commute time! Not to mention it would make taking the kids to school a heck of a lot easier, too.

Hmm...I've heard about that film before, but I've never really seen it and I'm not really sure what it's about. No, if I were invisible I'd be scared of walking in on someone doing something that I really didn't want to see them doing. xD But it would be awesome to be able to, like, spy on the government. Area 51 all the way! LOL. It would be hard to keep secrets from someone if they were able to go invisible.

Immortality. that's all I want, it doesn't matter if you're the most powerful person in the planet, if you will die some day, it wouldn't matter. I'd rather want to live forever until i get to see humanity at it's end. if that happens, i will take the lead in starting to repopulate the human race once more.

I can't imagine wanting to live forever. I know a lot of people that think it would be awesome and would be the greatest thing forever, but it would kill me so much inside that I would never want it. I already know that I'll have to watch certain loved ones die and that fact kills me every time I think about it. I can't imagine watching ALL of my loved ones die, including children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, etc. Besides, part of the beauty in life is that it's so brief and you have to enjoy it while you have it. I think if I were immortal then life wouldn't be quite so sweet because it would be easy to take it for granted.

Hi there,
Corruption has become such an issue world wide that almost all countries are effected by this. As far data Philippines are the first in this business and Singapore is the least. Even the European countries are within the Octopusy clutches of corruption and if I had the that power I would eradicate all these maladies and make all t effected countries free from it.

Hiro Nakamura's (of the series Heroes) power to manipulate space and time tops my list. The ability to travel though time and space, and change it according to one's needs is something that really had interested me since I was a kid. This may be the reason why I was drawn to Robert Heinlein's novels, and of course, the dozens of good time-travel fiction out there.

I never actually watched very much of that series, but you're right, that would definitely be a very interesting power to have. When I first watched that show and saw the commercials for it I did find his power rather appealing and something that would definitely come in handy in many situations! Time travel in itself is a very interesting subject.
So if you could time travel, where exactly would you go?

I've always thought about shapeshifting, too! I think that's probably my number one above flying, come to think of it, because then you can shift into a bird and fly anyway! I would love to shapeshift just to know what it's like to be certain animals and everything. I always thought it would be interesting to know what it feels to be powerful like a horse or have a dog's sense of smell or a bird's eyesight. :)

That's really not going to happen. But, any way i would like to have the super man powers like flying and strong body. Flying in the air is really so cool isn't it? Also, i want some speed too.
If i can choose from some powers, i would like to get them all...lol..

Obviously it's not going to happen. It's a figurative question. Not all questions have to actually be plausible.
Lol...one isn't good enough, eh? You need them all. Yes, I think those powers would be awesome, especially flying. Though speed would be pretty good, too. You'd never be late to anything ever again!

If i could have the super power in my hands then the first thing i do is i will send the evil out.And give all the good agriculture to the farmers.So, that we can live happily and also makes everyone happy by doing good from time to time.So that i can be in their minds for ever and ever.Till earth ends.I feel this to come true. I would probably say that if I could have any super power it would have to be the ability to fly. Of course there are a lot of really cool other super powers out there but I have a lot of lucid dreams where I am able to fly and I don't think I've ever felt so free other then that. I would just really love to be able to do that in all planes and worlds.

Oh, I like the idea of helping people without having to worry about keeping who you are anonymous. :) That's a really good idea. It makes superhero costumes and everything obsolete, too, because if they can't see you then you don't have to worry about whether or not your true identity is hidden. :D

When I think about having powers I always end up with control of the weather and some minor telepathic abilities.
Control of the weather because I would just love the freedom to be able to create tornadoes for myself, and then to change it to reflect my moods at the time. That and when you control the wind you can also learn how to fly, though I wouldn't use tornadoes, just strong gusts :)
As for the telepathy it always just seemed to randomly appear in any stories I created ~ Is a monster X Men fan ~ Usually because I always started off with the X Men and telepathy meant getting to interact with Xavier on a one-on-one level. That and it gives my mind a place in the stories lol!

If I could have a super power it would definitely be telepathy like Professor X in X-men. I mean you can know what people are thinking and communicate without having to talk and make people do what you want them to. I think it is the ultimate super power.

Communicating with people without having to speak would be pretty amazing, I admit, but I think I'd be afraid to know what people are thinking. I don't think I'd really want to know what people are thinking most of the time, to be perfectly honest.
But now that you mention X-men, I've always loved Magneto and thought his powers would be pretty awesome. :D Of course, it would take quite a while for me to get used to them, but it would definitely be worth it.

Yes, you would certainly be able to learn quite a bit about people, but I'd be afraid of knowing too much! And I wouldn't really want to know what people are thinking about me or when they're thinking about off-color things, either. I prefer to live in ignorance when it comes to that. xD

I would love to be able to control time, so that i could pause time to sleep, rewind time when ive been having fun or made a mistake, and fast forward time through boring stuff like chores and work lol :)

If I could have a super power? I would also love to have a power to fly because I always dream of flying and it feels really good. I also wanted to be invisible so that I could hide whenever I want to. Another, I want to have a power to teleport so that I don't have to spend money for transportation and I wouldn't be late to school and I could go around the world without hassle. In short, I want to be powerful but not as powerful as God. hahahaha! :)
