I had been affected with flu- yes, all the symptoms that points to swine flu. Now,I am over it, hopefully. I took all the care except Tamiflu. But I got well. So,was it swine flu? It could be. May be my immunity system was quite dexterous to shove it off! What about you? are you recently being affected with swine flu kinda symptoms but got well just like that?

So glad to know that you have got over it Mimpi and i'm sure it was not swine flu, but just the change in weather. Fortunately I have not had any flu like symptoms recently and am keeping my fingers crossed. Our city has been reording cases on the rise and today has the second highest in India. I hope and pray for all that they are able to control this outbreak.

Mimpi, I hope it's just a common flu and not the swine flu. But we have to take precautions. I'm sure they will get over it as you did. The best wishes and prayers of all your friends are with you and your family.

Hello mimpi. While being so sorry to hear that you were affected with flu, I am happy to know that you are recovered from it by taking all the care. So it is never enough for any of us to be careful. Well, I heard on the radio that we still have swine flu cases in China, but it is no big deal as most of them are cured and have come back to normal life and work. Enjoy your life, mimpi.

Here in our city every kind of flu is being looked at with suspicion. I have been in hospital looking after my brother for the last 15 days. There have been reports of swine flu patients in that hospital. But during my visits there everything looked perfectly normal. Could not figure out where the swine flu patients were inspite of me taking a round many times in the hospital.

Just glad you got cured by that swine flue mimpi. but i believe it's not over yet because we still have some people out there who is also infected with the swine flu. and World Health Organization believes that the H1N1 can still mutate but for now it seems that most have gone cured from this illness.

If you have got well without taking Tamiflu, I don’t think it was flu in the first place. The more I know about swine flu, the more I am convinced that its just another of the different influenza that can affect people, the only thing is that maybe this particular strain of virus was unknown to us before. Tamiflu I believe is the only cure for it so I don’t think you had swine flu. As it is the weather now is not the best for maintaining a good health…in our home, hubby is down with aches all over the body, my son is down with fever and I am down with a running nose and coughs…so I guess three of us combine all the features of swine flu together LOL

Good that you have recovered. May be it was just the simple flu due to the season change. It is quite common this time. By any chance, did you had the throat swab test? Hope your sister, BIL and nephew will recover soon.

Well I guess you might have it. But, in my place, doctors say that Swine Flue can only be lethal to those that have weak immune system. In your case, if you did got the virus it seems that you did have a very strong immune system that is why you were able to fight it off your system. This disease is dangerous to many young children and the elderly which has other sicknesses that weakens their immune system. The best person that can tell if you indeed have the flu virus is a doctor.

I have been very fortunate not to get the swine flu, but I guess it is getting even more widespread than ever. Do you remember the rhino flu? It was about 10 or 11 years ago. It came with a horrific headache. I got it either in late 1998 or in early 1999. I was miserable, but it came and went pretty quick, thank goodness. I am glad to hear that you are over the swine flu and are feeling better now. Do take care!

I have not personally had any flu symptoms, but I known many people have had symptoms. The good news is that most people recover quickly. Just make sure if you are ever not feeling well to stay away from others.

Swine flu is still here where I live. AS a matter of fact, there have recently been two or three deaths in my county. I am talking in the last week or two. The deaths seemed to be people who had other health conditions as well. You could have had a case of it, or it could have just been the regular old flu. Either way, be glad that you are better.

It's still there but the news just stop because they found out that it's just like an ordinary flu. But when you have complication this flu can kill. So they decided that only people with complication will go to the hospital for check up and treatment purposes.

Hi dear! Thanks God that Swine flue did not catch you and you are out of it. Did it happen when you reached Dubai. Few days ago, I had similar symptoms, however, when I got myself checked up my ENT specialists, he dispelled my doubts and told me that it was viral infection and he treated me accordingly, now I am okay.

Hi mimpi! I am glad that you are better now! I am sick right now myself! I have what I think is just a really bad cold! I feel really awful! I don't think I have the flu! I might have bronchitis, but I'm not sure yet. I started getting really sick yesterday. I don't have flu like symptoms, just feel lousy. I have a really bad cough, stuffy nose, slight fever, but no real body aches. I'm not real worried about the swine flu yet! I am worried about the possibility of getting it this winter! I have a low resistance and usually get the flu in the winter and my doctor always wants me to get a flu shot which I refuse to get! I didn't have the flu last year which was lucky and I hope I don't get it this year because then I will really be scared that it is the swine flu!

Hi Mimpi, it seems that this swine flu is very good at mutation. The newspaper says that this swine flu is detected among birds. Hopefully it doesnt mingle with avian flu virus and becomes a super bug. suffering from a flu is always bad enough, regardless of swine flu or not. I hate the cough that always come after the flu. Sometimes the stupid cough turns into a month long suffering.

Hi Mim. This has puzzled me a bit. All flus seem to have the same symptoms, so how does a medical professional determine which kind it is? Blood tests maybe? I've had no flu symptoms since last year, thank goodness, and I am happy that whichever flu you had caused no lasting effects! But from everything I hear and read, the swine flu is dangerous enough that our country is hurrying to get the vaccine out! Take care. Karen

Very glad you have recovered! I have not, I'm glad to say, suffered from swine flu myself but both my best friend and my brother back in England had it - not for too long, or too seriously, thankfully. Its hard to know how serious it really is, or could get, and how much of it is media hype, I was worried at first to hear that they had it, but as it turned out, for them it was simply like having very bad flu, although they said there was pain and cramps with it that made it worse. Stay well!
