Should MyLot changed it's name

Why hasn't MyLot offically change it's name? Today 17 of first four pages in this section were filled with post from ONE person. Many on here have flaged these comment as TOS voilations, and even people at agree with some of these post have questioned the number of posts. Isn't is sad that you have to hunt for post made by other members even if it was only started minutes earlier? Do you think that there should be reasonable limit as to how many post you can start in a day?

Greatdebater, I believe that some posts are on mylot just to push and hide other logical and revealing posts made by people with opposing viewpoints. Several months ago, I scrolled the posts and finding nothing current or stimulating, I post some very debatable topics. Within three (3) minutes there were about twenty (20) plus posts in the same category, which I immediately knew were there to kick my post out of immediate view! It is so sad to see a group of people ranting about individual freedom and yet so intolerant of the views of others! They live in this fairy-tale world about how they think things should be and spend all of their time and energy indoctrinating young people about ideas that no longer work! Why they are so slow to get it that those days of ignorance (when people depending upon them for information) are gone, I do not understand!

Good point, debater. I've been wondering the same thing myself for months now. 90% (or more) of her posts are nothing more than copy/pastes from some right-wing-wacko website and she posts over and over, within minutes of each other, on the same topic with a different title. Posts get deleted all the time and members have been banned for little or no reason but this person gets away with whatever she wants to post. I definitely think there should be a reasonable limit as to how many posts someone can start, at least in a particular interest or on a particular topic each day. Some topics should have a "lifetime cap" like the insurance companies put on their customers! Annie

I couldn't agree with you more. I thought it was against MyLot's TOS to copy and paste? By the way, that "lifetime cap" is just a liberal lie, insurance companies don't limit the amount of money that you will be charge throughout the life of your policy. They only put a cap on what they will cover. LOL

I agree Annie. I thought there was another response on this thread, it looks like MyLot is paying attention to some of their issues.

She likes to pretend she is a reporter for WND. Unfortunatly her inability to form a proper sentence or an original thought would make that realisticly impossible. So she settles for plagerizing the work of lesser journalists.

If a person can come up with that many INTELLIGENT and original posts, more power too them. If they were idiotic and repetitive, let the system handle them. Report them as violations and let Admin deal with it. The person will soon learn not to do that!

The key word there is INTELLIGENT. I haven't found many of those comments from this person to be INTELLIGENT, or even in english at times (atleast proper english).

It irks me to no end that I have to search through multiple pages to find a discussion to respond to that isn't just a copy and paste of conservative garbage. Another member had started a discussion about having the option to ignore or block a member and I think that is the best idea I've heard in a long time! Everywhere else that there are members "talking" there is that option, I don't know why mylot hasn't thought of it.

The object of the site is to post discussions. Many times people post many discussions in the hopes that they will earn more on here, not realizing that most of these multiple discussions won't earn them much, if anything, simply because they are not quality discussions. I've never thought that they were posting things just to hide someone elses discussions. Should there be a limit to the daily amount one can post? No, I don't think so. There should be a rule about posting one line as a discussion though, or starting a discussion where there's really nothing to discuss.

There are days, Mike, when I wonder that myself. But, I'm still plugging away here. I don't have that big of a problem with multiple posters, I just scroll through the pages until I see something I want to answer

come on debator, this is how you are meant to post in this section. i personally have roughly 2 dozen discussions all ready to go on how my local MP annoys me. all slightly different.

Sounds like you have a bad influence on here, I think we are going to have to put you in time out for that.

I know it can be frustrating to see so many posts all at once from one person but it doesn't happen all the time. I've been on here at times and had to sift thru several pages just to find something that intrigues me enough to respond to. That happens even when there are several posters. I really don't think that in the long run it would be a good idea to limit each person to a certain number of posts per day nor do I think it should change it's name.

Do you mean to day that in a particular section one person began 17 discussions, or there were 17 responses to one discussion. Just maybe that person got a verbal indigestion, in the eversion format. How do they get so much of time. Dont they have better things to do. I mean Mylot is great and all. I love mylot and at times spend hours on it. But there is a limit to it.
