So, you've noticed a hair growing on the tip of your nose, what do you do?

I know that this sounds like a strange question but there I am looking in the mirror and I actually have three hairs growing on the tip of my nose. So, I'm thinking to myself, ah! Three hairs on tip of nose equals one crazy discussion So, have you ever found yourself in this predicament? What did you do or what would you do? I could just grab my razor and remove the buggers or I could just leave them there! If I remove them am I suddenly going to find my nose covered in not three but a hundred hairs? Frightening prospect I think Andrew

Hi my friend, Oh I know the feeling and would you laugh at me if I told you I have a lovely pair of tweezers that I use for the job of pulling hairs, nose hairs, eyebrows, hairs on the ears, unwanted hairs anywhere I will pull out with tweezers! Call me vain I know but I hate unsightly hairs that suddenly appear and I pull grey hairs out of my head as well. At the moment you can't see them because I had my hair bleached blond (well highlighted). Tweezers are not just for the ladies you know ;0)

Hi Wolfie! Of all the discussions I could create I come up with one like this. It seems that everyone is mentioning tweezers and I'm thinking to myself ah yes! I actually do have a pair and they are kept in my computer maintenance kit! Who says they should only be used to pick up small screws in pcs! Thankfully I haven't graduated to the ear hair problem as yet! The human condition is very strange with all these hairs appearing in the oddest of places! Oh well! Andrew

Just tweeze them out. They may grow back a little bit thicker at first but if this happened to me then it would gross me out. So get rid of them - fast!

Ouch! That sounds painful! Well, I suppose I can suffer that if it's going to resolve my little problem! I'm just thinking though, I don't have a pair of tweezers! Oh well, from a distance they are almost invisible! Of all the places, they have to turn up on the tip of my nose!!! Andrew

Sighs heavily: There there, just put a warm cloth on the hairs to be plucked before plucking them. It won't hurt THAT much. And yes, everyone is noticing them so go and PLUCK

forgot to add that you need the tweezers with the blunt end not the pointy ended ones. sighs again: Night night

I would use my tweezers, they do not seem to multiply when tweezed.

I also figured I could burn them off with a lighter but then I guess that's starting to border on insanity! Well, I guess there are no quick fixes here! Yes, tweezers sound like the bees knees when it comes to removing facial hair! Andrew

I totally agree to this. Shaving multiplies it badly. At least thats the rule for my body

Yes that's also what I have always. The most frustrating is the white hair that you could see rather than the black one...what I would do, I would have to get my cute scissor intended for my nose only and cut if off..but the white ones I would pull it off so this would not grow up and could not be distinguished immediately compared to black one..cheers..

I'm very unlucky in that my hairs are all black and they really do stand out and are very easy to spot. Still, I came to a drastic decision a few days ago and I suddenly removed them with my razor! Andrew

Those hairs have long gone and thankfully I don't suffer spots, acne or anything like that. I used to use some face wash called Biactol but that was a long time ago. I'm only glad that the hair problem is a small one! Andrew

Hello Andrew. That's quite peculiar. I haven't seen anyone with hairs on tip of their noses. You must have a very hairy genes. Oh well, if i found something like it, i would immediately cut it with the use of scissors so that your prospect of growing a hundred of strands of hair on the tip of your nose will be history. Good luck to that.

Yes, I guess I come from a very hairy family! Well, I'm half Greek, half Irish and mostly British being born in the UK! Me and the three hairs are finally over, we did have a tough battle but I guess I'm ready for when they start to reappear! Andrew

That's really some nice genes. Greek, Irish and British rolled into one human being. That must be the reason why you have that handsome look. We are all that you have decided to end the battle between you and your three-strands-o-hair dilemma.

I would pluck it. Sometimes a hair just grows on random places. One time, there was a little hair growing on my cheek. I was stroking my cheek and suddenly felt a hair there! I plucked it out and it never grew back. I think it's safe to just pluck it out and not to be worried your noise would be covered with hair.

I'm glad it's just those three hairs and hopefully I'm not entering some kind of werewolf phase, things have been ok around a full moon! I've removed them anyhow, just a quick scrape of that razor!! Andrew

I would suggest plucking the hairs rather than shaving because shaving can actually cause increased hair growth down the road. Plus, you don't have to pluck nearly as often.

This is something that I may do next time round! I've actually taken the serious step of putting razor to nose and now they have gone. I am prepared for the worst case scenario though should they reappear with vengeance! Andrew

I've never heard of hair growing on the tip of someone's nose before! LOL! Well, I'm Italian which means I'm lucky enough to be one of the three most hairiest ethnic groups for women. The other two are Jewish women and black women. I've had a moustache ALL of my life and now that I'm menopausal I've got hair growing on my chin! Yikes! One thing I've learned, though, is NEVER SHAVE it with a razor. ALWAYS pluck them with tweezers or (depending on where the hair is growing) have it waxed. In your case since it's only a few hairs just pluck them. For me, because I have so much facial hair I have it waxed. The reason you should NEVER SHAVE these hairs is that it will only grow back THICKER and I don't think you want those hairs on your nose to get thicker. So, buy a pair of tweezers. Or........your could always keep the hairs and be a witch for Halloween! LOL! Purrs, Catwoman=^..^= & Mija

Hey Kelly how you doing? Well, I've taken drastic action already now, I thought what the heck! I did go for the razor afterall! If they grow back thick and fast I will do the same again. I don't have a pair of tweezers but I suppose I should pick some up when I have to face this emergency again! Oh well, this is part of life I guess! Andrew

Razer ? on the nose ? Are you kidding meWouldn't you get a rough skin there like its on the beard ? Well i don't do that. I don't want a thicker hair there tomorrow. or a rough skin of the nose. Whenever i see a hair like this. I pull it off the roots before it can grow big and since being a small light hair, It doesn't hurt also while pulling it off. I guess pulling is better than shaving

Ah! I have taken drastic action already and have actually removed them now, I did choose the razor afterall! Well, my skin still seems quite soft and smooth in this area so I'm sure that I don't have anything to worry about! The end of my nose doesn't have the roughness of a cheese grater or anything like that! Andrew

Yes, I was a little grossed out as it were but I'm learning to accept that I may have a constant battle on my hands when it comes to always having to remove hairs from this area. What about wax? That might help

Well, there's always the nearest barbershop..when you go and get your haircut, why not ask him to clean your whole face. Well, if being shaved suits your style. Because, normally barbers have a complete set of tools for everything that needs to be cut - this includes nose hairs. If you get your hair done regularly, you won't have a problem with your nose hairs, because, in my unscientific opinion, they grow at a slower rate that our hair, so it won't grow very long and will really really not missed out.

I'm sure that the local barber shop would charge an absolute fortune to carry out a service like this! Still, I'm starting to accept that this could well be a part of the human existance to have strange hairs spring up everywhere! Andrew

This is not a strange question. I am a 60 year old female and lately I discovered a hair growing on my chin. Everyone in my family wanted to pull it out. I did not let them. I do not like pain so I took the scissors and clipped it off. I sure hope that no more hairs appear on my chin.

I guess this is part of normal life now but I don't like the idea of having these hairs appear anytime they feel like it! If you have really dark hair like I do then it really can be very unsightly! Well, it's over, I got rid of them a couple of days ago so I'm all smiles yet again! Andrew

Tweeze them! Get rid of them, STAT! You think no one's noticing? Trust me when I say that EVERYONE sees them and looks and them when you talk to them. xP

Yes, I share those sentiments exactly.. Still, it's not the end of the world! I'm not expecting anymore of those babies to show but the tweezers sound like a very good, painful idea! You don't have a spare pair do you? Andrew
