Where do you find the most coinage?

I'm talking about change. Money that you scrounge around for, trying to find a few cents. At my parent's home, if you want a few bucks in change, all you have to do is dig in the sides of their couch and chairs. Change falls out of my dad's pockets all the time (I have no interest in their change - no way am I digging in the sides of their furniture). You won't find anything in my couch. No food falling into the sides, no change, nothing. But you'd probably find a couple of quarters in my car. That is about the only place I'd find change if I needed it. What about you? Furniture, car, cup holder, pockets of coats...? Where do/would you find the most change?

Hey Ambie! Well, I don't have a car so that would be one less place for me to look!lol And I hardly ever have pockets in my clothes or if I do I don't ever put money into them so that's another less place! I pretty much only find change at the bottom of my handbags! I tend to change my handbags between two or three depending on what I'm wearing and there is always some loose change that never get's put into my wallet because I'm always in a hurry to get out of the store and just throw it into my handbag! And if there already is too much change in my wallet I will end up throwing the loose change into my "piggybank" (yes, I actually have a piggybank!)

Where I can find the most change, is in my daughters room.... Every coin that she finds she stashes it in her little car that she drives around the house with! That is like her gold mind! One day while I was cleaning it out, I found a $5 bill! So, if I ever need a few dollars or need some change I know where to look!!!

Whwn I was a teenager I use to find a lot of change washing clothes. My dad was bad about leaving his money in his pants pockets. One time I found over $20.00 in one of his pockets. It's funny now thinking about it. I was going to keep it but I knew he needed it so I gave it back to him. The change though I kept.

Come to think of it, I remember a few times my mom got some freshly washed coins when she forgot to empty my dad's pants pockets before waching them.

I deliberately throw all my change into my purse, and then forget about it. When it gets too heavy, I clean it out, and find all the change, and end up with a nice little sum.

coins here before were scattered around the house. you will find them in different places. on the drawers. on the top of tables and almost anywhere. but now we hate see things scattered around. though coins here have less value that it was before. but it still amount to something if we saved enough. i usually stick in my hand into the pockets of shorts and pants to see if there are coins before i throw them into the washing machine so that they will not make any noise and will not get into the sides of the washing machine which can actually make the machine malfunction or stop spinning.

We are the same at our house there is next to nil chance of finding anything that resembles money that hasn’t been accounted for anywhere! We have a container we used to drop lose change in but all that is in it these days are five cent pieces. My father has the knack of finding money anywhere; I’m not talking about just change, he finds notes too. Last Saturday he found a twenty dollar note at the shopping centre and in the evening of the same day he found sixty dollars at the casino! He didn’t even gamble any of it but put it straight into his pocket. He finds cash like that all the time...I don’t know how he does it...Maybe I should start looking down whenever I walk anywhere!

I find that whenever I go to a kiosk you can always find some money on the ground, even if it's only 5 cents. People might think it's stupid, but I do pick up the 5 cents and keep it. For me I never knew how valuable money actually is, until I joined mylot and found how hard it is to actually earn around 30 cents. So if I ever find some loose change, I do keep it. =)

I have a small wallet which is used for storing the change. I don't like to put them in the wallet which I carry or any other place. So, by now I have stored lots of change.

Well I'm quite fortunate because one of my hobbies is actually Metal Detecting. As well as finding all kinds of old coins and artificats I find a lot of modern coins too. In my local park over the years I estimate I have found - wait for it - over 40,000 coins. Mostly just small copper coins but also silver, and the odd gold one too. It is a great hobby. Next week I'm travelling further afield to look for older coins. On this particular site I've found coins dating all the way back to Roman Times.

No chance of any coins felling between sofa pillows. Most of my coins are kept in a small square box in my bookcase. Anyone wants coins just go there and take what they want. They can buy bread with it. They can buy newspapers with the coins. I take some from time to time to pay for my parking charges.

Hubby's side of the bed. He likes to look all of his coins over and decide which ones are collectible. He just never moves them. Now my change goes directly from my purse to the jar I keep it in. No looking it is just in the jar.

I put all my change in a coffee can as soon as I get home. However, we have an oversized chair that my step-daughter kind of half sits/half lies in. Looking behind that cushion almost always yields results. Looking inside the washing machine when she's done frequently produces results too. She never empties her pockets before washing her clothes, and money tends to stick to the sides. Since she never takes the time to look, when it dries out, it drops to the bottom and is there to grab when I look.

if i needed coins, i'd check near the TV in my parent's room. my dad usually leaves a couple of coins there. and also, i check my bags and my mom's bags for any loose change. and my sister has this small cup/ container for coins. but i don't steal them. i ask permission first before getting. :)
