It occured to me the other day that I have never been in a fight ever in my life and I am talking about a proper fist fight. I have never picked a fight with someone and no-one has really ever picked one with me, not at school and not in my adult life. I have friends that I certainly wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of for the fear that they would probably punch my lights out!! They are nice friends really, honest. Maybe I am a chicken, too laid back to be bothered or just don't think it is appropriate. Probably all three! Have you got into many fights? Have you not ever got into a fight either?

I got into a fight once.. it wasn't my fight.. it was a friends fight.. his ex girlfriend was attacking him, and all her friends where around, which where girls.. and all my friend where around, which were boys.. so after she beat him for a while.. she was tired, and i said gwen what the F are you doing ? and then she came at me.. and she was slow enough i just caught her arm left a big bruise on her arm apartmently i grabbed her so hard.. she had fear in her eyes, and, never being in a fight before ever.. and not really liking to hit anyone.. i punched at her, but to this day i dont know if i missed because i ment to or what but i missed the first punch, and then my friend stepped in (one of the guys) and said tracey, those friends of her are up there ready to pounce on you if you hit her.. So i just said F off B****, and we all walked away.. Fun times.

I have had my fair share of fights before; and nowadays, I'm more relaxed and not so inclined to it. Perhaps those were my younger days and I was quite baffled by some people's behavior, LOL. Those young days, really. Fist fight tend to be for schooling days normally, but I'm sure there are those whom get involved with it because they really have to. I'm thankful that I live in a very peaceful area, with very minimal gang activities and whatnot. Non-existent, if I'm correct..

Hey there zed_k4 Yeah I think it something people tend to do when they are younger and calm down as they mature! Thanks

Other than my younger siblings, I haven't really got into any fights. One high school friend kicked me (don't remember why) and I got a whopping bruise.

Hello dawny Yeah I used to have fights with my brothers but they weren't really allowed to hit me as I was a girl and younger than them so I used to get the better of them a bit! Thanks

I know this might sound strange, but nope I've never been in a full on fist fight or serious confrontation, but if I ever do witch hope I don't I believe that I could handle myself if its a one on one fight and if its just hand to hand, but I'm a lover not a fighter and I always try to keep the peace.

Hi ya apples99 It doesn't sound strange at all! Look at me, a 38 year old who has never got in a scrap in her life either! I hate confrontation and will avoid it at all cost apart from with my kids! Thanks

I have never been in a fight either, but people have tried to pick fights with me before, and several guys have punched me in school. What's the point? If I ever got into a real fight, I would rather it be a fight of skill, not fist, like fencing, karate, or swordfighting.

Well unless you include the ex, the last time I had a fight or got a pasting was back in my schooldays and they weren't very pleasant and neither was the pastings I got! I had two major ones, both sadly I lost and embarrasingly it was through someone YOUNGER than me, how bad is that? The second was when I fronted up to a bully in my class and they humiliated me in front of everyone, I went to kick them and they grab my leg and twisted it, evil b*stard. I was punched and kicked at Primary School but I didn't fight back I wasn't a fighter. I never found the aggressive side of me until I met my ex. I often wish that I had gone to the gym when I was very young so I could have built myself up more and lost the flab maybe I wouldn't have been bullied so badly. I often see kids in the gym now which is a great idea. Especially with the obesity problems we have but that as they say is a different discussion!

Hi ya wolfie You poor thing. I used to see the bullies coming when I was at school and I would walk off before they even saw me. I wasn't really a target for bullies anyway because I wasn't one of the quiet ones they would usually pick on anyway, thankfully. I think that if you look different to others then you become a target which is so horrible. It is hard to teach your kids to be individuals but to not be different if you get my drift!! Thanks

Hi Humbug, The one thing I hate doing is fighting and that goes for the verbal arguing too, so nope have never had a fist fight in my life either and see no need for it except in defence...besides where does it get you,, only hurt and more than likely your ego downtrodden...LoLo

Hi ya littleowl I agree with you, I prefer to carry myself with more dignity than to lower myself to the standards of fisty cuffs and verbal abuse to others. thanks

Hi, humbug! Yes, i have been in several fists fights, and just fights in general. I do not go around starting them, but if i am pushed into it then i am going to do just what i have to do. I am a easy going person, but i will only be pushed so far, and then i push back. My friends say i have a long fuse, but if you light it you better be ready for whatever happens. It has been awhile since i have been in a fight and i try not to get into them anymore, but if it comes my way i am ready.

Really Humbug, why would you even think of such a thing, you're a girl for goodness sake, only brutish men fight. It has never occured to me in my life to fight with someone and that's not just because everyone else is bigger than me. I don't mix with they type of people who do fight either and never have. I find the look more than suffices if someone becomes out of line.

Hi ya thea Hahaha well the question was open to both genders, I was just curious and yes it is what young British men do best of a drunkered Saturday night or football match! I don't even give people 'the look' for fear they might approach me adn give me a good pasting! Cheers
