Do you cook at lunch time or serve cold sandwiches or Microwave Meals?

Most days I just heat up left overs for lunch or my son and I eat a microwave meal. Occasionally I will make a sandwich. If my other two kids are home from school I will sometimes make a tuna casserole, but usually I just heat something up. How about you do you cook for lunch or other options?

I usually have leftovers but I prefer something that doesn't have to be heated when the weather is really warm like now, evene though it is OCtober!

It's not warm here anymore. I made chili over the weekend and I have been eating it every day this week for lunch, there was not very much left for today so I had a salad with it.

Temperatures here are still in the upper 80s and low 90s! It feels like the middle of summer.

sandwich - big sandwich
Hello ladym Since it is just me at home during the day now, I usually just grap a sandwich or something to snack on. My husband just got back to work and we have no small children. So I just wing it sometimes. When he was off work I would fix a small lunch and bigger dinner.. Good discussion. Have a great day...

I remember when my boys started to school the first time. I was really loney for the first week, then after that I found things to do and it became much easier. My gosh that has been such a long time ago. My youngest son is 27 years old..

It depends. If I'm out, of course, I'll eat cooked food. But, if I'm just in the house writing I will usually opt for a sandwich or my favorite leftovers. I can already tell you what's going to be for lunch tomorrow. Hash browns and a sandwich. The breakfast will be pancakes left over from tonight's dinner out. They say it's too expensive to eat in restaurants but not if you can get two or three meals out of one entree.

At lunch time I have a sandwich and fruit.sometimes a yoghurt,if I feel really hungry I will cook something like eggs in microwave.I always cook an evening meal for the family so I eat my main meal with them.

Yeah well my mum cooks the dinners and lunch etc etc and if there are any left overs I just heat them up. I am usually eating microwaved meals. Only because it is easier and I mainly can not be bothered making things myself. Happy MyLotting. -AidanKay.

I usually just get something out of the fridge to eat. It's either a fruit or like a veggie. I don't really want to cook things or make things. It takes forever so I just grab whatever is in the kitchen that is eatable. It's faster and easier. ^^

I suspect I will do more of that next year when my youngest is in school full time. I always make something for us but more for him then for me.

Most of the time we do sandwiches but sometimes I'll make soup or heat up leftovers from the night before. I prefer to heat food on the stove though b/c microwaves never seem to get it all the same tempeture unless it's scalding. Also I don't buy the microwave meals...I just don't think their worth the money. !!Happy Turkey Day!! ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

It depends on what this short order cook wants to prepare. Sometimes I'll plan lunch while getting breakfast ready. You gotta be prepared.

I have the hardest time trying to figure out what to make for lunch. When I am by myself, I either eat leftovers or make grilled cheese or peanut butter and jelly. On weekends, we usually go out for a big lunch and have a small dinner. We eat out too often. I need to figure out better lunches for all of us.
