Have you awakened yet with worries about what your going to do about Christmas? Have you ever been so full of ambition and ideas for making the money for xmas that your just zippy? Thats how i woke up this morning and I have 500 things to do but cant seem to get out of mylot long enough to do it. i just seem to want to sit here and discuss with my friends here how to go about it all. Many of you, like i probably have lots of kids, grandkids, and family to give money or buy for and for the first time in years no way to do it I've been taking pics of appliences, books etc. this morning. Im thinking of putting certain things up on ebay, although i dread it. usually it dont sell. afraid im not much of a seller. anyone else know about veiwpoints? they have a contest on there to win/make points for gift cards. theres 4 rangeing from 50 bucks to 200. so im thinking about i should do that. you have to do 10 reveiws one reason for the pics. anyone know if they are a scam? But, here i still sit just typeing away and reading. LOL!

yeah I'm always struggling to make money. even if it's not much. only because I don't want my hubby to think that I don't contribute. but in away I am also spending for personal project, not much I limit it to what I earn so it's not something hubby will complain about. he never does complain, he always works hard for his money and always thinks as a man he has to do this. I feel bad though, for not being bread winner. but I'm going to get there I will keep trying. It's time that I buy him something

Do things one at a time or elese you will not accomplish anything. I have sold some items in ebay and made a few thousands from selling. However, I stopped selling for there are many joybidders who keep on bidding and winning but don't buy the items. It's saddening that ebay is being used by many unscrupulous people.

I myself have been wondering what to do for Christmas. I have two single presents bought this year. Last year, I didn't do so well either. My mom was the only one that I was able to get anything decent for. Although, I did send some shells to some of the other family and a few of them liked them. Others just didn't respond. I am not sure about my brother's family any more, they used to be appreciative and easy to please. Now, I am lucky if I even here from them upon receipt of their gifts. As far as ViewPoints goes, I am a member of that site, and have been for some time. I signed up through MyPoints, which I have been a member of for over 10 years. Whenever I do a review on specific items, they give my MyPoints. These are in turn good for gift cards. I usually get Wal-Mart gift cards, as they come in the most handy. That is, since I know that I am going to be going there and spending money anyways. I am hoping to get enough to cash in for my second Wal-Mart gift card this year, through them this month. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

I won't have much to spend this year but my family is into cheap Christmas gifts. In fact, we have a limit! No more than $5 for adults. I found a beautiful Trifari necklace from the 60's at Goodwill for $1. A $1.50 bag or the right sized pearls to replace the missing ones and I'll have a lovely gift for my sister! I'm making vegetable saver bags from unbleached muslin, very easy to make and very effective! I'm being very creative this year. I also make pillows from used dryer sheets. My two sons are the ones I'll spend money on. I've been doing surveys all years and racked up a lot of points in points programs so I can get Amazon and Walmart gift cards to buy gifts with. So I think I'm set. I put all myLot and survey cash earnings in my savings account and never touch it unless I have an emergency. I hope you get enough to let you do what you'd like to for Christmas!

I forgot another idea that I like to do for people. You get famous quotes or just write down memories you have of that person. Fold each piece of paper and drop it in a nice tin or box. Then each day they can take one out and enjoy it. My dad loved the memory slips I gave him for Father's Day one year, said it was the best present he'd ever received.

My husband and I just got married so it will be our first christmas as a married couple. We spent two christmases before this one as engaged. He's also got a job so we'll be able to spend more which means also more to buy for since we have the money now. Of course, I am on mylot trying to earn a bit of money and also hoping that the job I want will go through for us before christmas. Of course, I also wouldn't mind working at another place, but the first place I want to work at my husband could come in and visit with me while I'm working. I hope you can get the money you need to buy the gifts you want for your family this year.

I joined Viewpoints and have done 5 reviews so far. I was a little disappointed that you have to choose one of the product lines off of their list. I have a new can opener and a new George Foreman Grill that I could write a review on, but they aren't on the list of Qualifying Catagories!

Have you thought about making edible gifts for the adults? I make breads each year and everyone gets one or two. Naturally, everyone gets some Christmas cookies. Jams and jellies are not hard to make; just do a search for recipes and how-to's. Homemade anything is something I'd rather get as a gift than anything else. One year, I knitted everyone a sweater. Of course, I had to start very early in the year to get them all finished in time but it was worth the effort. You could also put all the dry ingredients for a cake or cookies in a jar, with instructions on how to finish whatever it's for (like adding 2 eggs, butter, etc., what temperature to bake it at, etc.), wrap it up in a pretty bow and voila, instant gift and practical too! If you know someone who loves to sew, you could make them a pincushion to wear on their wrist while sewing by stuffing some used fabric softener sheets into a round piece of fabric, bring the edges together and sew them all to a piece of elastic (for the wrist). Not only practical but it smells good, too! The best gift I ever got from my sons was a picture they took of the two of them doing a 'Bill and Ted' "Be Excellent to Each Other" pose and put in a very pretty but inexpensive frame. I proudly display that photo in my living room. I don't feel that Christmas is a holiday to stress over. That is why I never shop right before Christmas, when people start panicking. I buy wrappings just after Christmas when everything is super-reduced for the following year. Then, I'll buy something for someone if I know they'd like it, even if it's only January. But, with money being tight all around, I think that all the adults should understand that "normal" gift-giving just isn't possible this year. If they don't understand that, then they really don't understand Christmas at all. I don't know about viewpoints. I wish I did so I could help you out. I know that MyPoints is awesome for gift cards. I'm about to get my fifth card this year and may just give them as gifts instead of buying gifts with them. Now, about myLot, have you tried any of the tasks? I've heard that some members are making quite good money by doing tasks. I've thought about it but just haven't had the time. It might be worth looking into.

thank you for all that. you really are a good friend and know a lot of good ways to give. to bad everyone is letting me know about things i could have been saving drier sheets for all these years now and i just got one of those new stick in your dryer bounce softener bars they sent it to me from veiwpoints to try out. it lasts for 2 mths they say. oh well.

If Viewposts is the site i think it is it is not a scam. It is a religious magazine. Is this the one you mean? It has been around for years. If it isn't this one then I have no idea. I hope you get some things figured out for Christmas. I quit buying for the holidays years ago.

I am so trying not to get stressed out over Christmas. There is a frugal site that I go too that has lots of ideas on frugal living and how to do Holiday celebrations quite cheaply. I will email you the site. It is not worth getting sick over it all. Jesus was born into a filthy stable smelling of animals muck - in fact you could say that he was born into the filth of the world to bring us eternal life. give inexpensive gifts tot he children and leave out the adults. Just tell them that it is not possible this year. Do not get into debt over one holiday celebration. The fact the Jesus was born is the biggest gift that we, as Christians coud ever receive.

I am totally consumed by mylot as well. It is my best site by far and if it weren't for mylot, I wouldn't be making as much as I am here. It isn't a lot but every little but helps. I am concerned abut Christams this year, as I am sure lots of others are too. It is just a tough year all the way around, and I have been able to pay my bills, but not a lot left over. Antything I make online has been going into my savings account, but just recently, I had to wethdraw most of it for paying my bills, so now I have to build it back up again. I wanted to have enough in it to help with Christmas this year, but now, that won't happen. I don't have a lot to buy for, but still I would like to have some money to do something with. I will just keep on kepping on, and hope for the best. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.
