I had a really awesome childhood! My family took vacations together, celebrated holidays, and had lots of barbeques. My parents were one of the families that had a little bit of money. It was like we had to host everything because no one else could afford it. I loved it! My favorite memory was christmas eve night when I was 10. Every christmas eve we were allowed to open one gift before bed. Usually my mother planned it so we would open our christmans pajamas. THis year she tells me to grab this huge coat box. I complained that I knew it was clothes. Please dont make me open it. She insisted. I opened it and low and behold there must have been at least $300 worth of barbie clothes and accessories. My mom said I was speechless. I had everything packages of clothes, shoes, even a barbie tent. THere were no dolls just the accessories. That christmas I ended up with a barbie townhouse, pool, and a bunch of great barbie stuff. I think it was one of my best memories. Please share one of your favorite childhood memories.dl

My favorite childhood memory is when me and my family took vacation together along with cousins of mine. We slept at one good hotel and had fun together. What a wonderful moment! I feel like I want to repeat it all over again, beside I know that is not possible. =) I really think that we have to be thankful upon our childhood, whatever the condition was. That was the phase which happened once in a lifetime, but a lot of people just regret it. =)

Of the three phases I have seen in my life as far, namely childhood, adolescence and adulthood, I cherish the first phase and to an extent my adolescence the most. There are lots and lots of pleasant memories I can recount and it is very hard to pick and choose. Some of them totally unforgettable for contrasting reasons. One of those I would never forget is when an old fruit vendor in the school premises took me to task when he caught me stealing a guava off his cart. He boxed my ears and smashed my back, giving me the treatment I deserved every bit, in full public view. Although a humiliating incident, it taught me an important lesson I was to remember for the rest of my life. The twist in the tale came up a while later when me and my friends were walking back home after school, feeling sorry for my "misfortune". There was silence in the air, but my mind was a pandemonium. It had been a rainy day, yet nothing seemed to wash the tears off my eyes. As I took my strides further with the pitter-patter, listening to my sympathetic friends, I had everyone stunned as I took a guava out of my pocket and flung it down the drain out of dismay.

My favourite memories are all of things that happened at the home of my Danish grandparents, and my Aunts and Uncles on that side of the family. Unfortunately my grandparents are no longer alive, but fortunately my Aunt and Uncle now own that house, so it's still in the family.

hi dloveli mine was quite different in that we were not really'wealthy. but my favorite childhood memory is that of helping my mom and my grandpa pick ripe strawberries early in the morning and bring them to the house. My mom would feed us some for our meals, can a lot of strawberry jam and jelly and just can some whole strawberies, later she would freeze them. Then in the afternoon on our farm we would pick all the huge ripe water melons and I got to ride on top of them as my grandpa wheeled them to the house in his big wheelbarrow. I must have been about seven at the time. We always had ripe watermelon afternoons when my mom would open the huge melon and cut big slices for us. they were so ripe and delicious and juicy. my grandpa would laugh at me as I always got juice all over my chin. These were the happy times in my childhood, later came the bad ones that I will not talk of here.

A child's school years are filled with memories. I have so many memories, both good and bad, from school. I now live thru my daughters. When my youngest, who is 15 comes home with a story or a problem, I think back to when I was in school and to what I did. Oh if only... Happy MyLotting dl

my favorite childhood memory was spending the whole christmas vacation with my family at a beach in Thailand. you see, my parents were missionaries before and we only got to see each other on christmas and summer vacations. the rest of the times, we got stuck in a boarding school in Malaysia while they went to go about their missionary tasks in Thailand. And my brother who was in college then had to go to college here in the Phillipines so we were pretty much apart the whole year round. So christmas vacations were very precious to me as a child. it meant that we could at last be together as a whole family.

Hi dloveli! This sounds like a great childhood memory! I can see why it's your favorite. My favorite childhood memory was when I was 12 years old. My parents and I took a trip just about every summer. This was 1964 and my parents, two oldest nephews, and I took a trip out west and we spent a whole month out there. My daddy was in the Kiwanis Club back then and they had a convention in L.A. We went to Disneyland in Anaheim, California while we were there. They also had activities planned for those who were with the convention. We took a tour through Beverly Hills and Hollywood one day and we saw the different stars homes. When the convention was over with, we drove up to Napa, California where my uncle (my daddy's brother)living and we spent about a week with them. This is near San Francisco, btw. We went to San Francisco one day and we went over the Golden Gate Bridge, went to Chinatown, ate supper at the Fisherman's Wharf. We did so much on this trip until it's hard for me to remember everything we did, especially now that I'm 57, lol. After our week was up, we went on up to Washington State because my sister was living up there at the time and we went to see her. Her husband at that time was in the air force and he was stationed up there. She ended up coming home with us that summer. Her oldest daughter was just 5 months old at the time and she was the best little thing! She slept most of the time. We went to Yellowstone National Park and many other places. Kathy.

i think that the good childhood memory is about my family, because i found that good family, this can give me good childhood,so i often remember what i live with my parents,i could not recieved that something happened in my life and hope to back to past,if the time give me chance to choice, the money is not important, good family is my only choice in my childhood memory.

Favorite childhood memory would be the toys. When I was a kid, my brother and I have so many toys that whenever we play, we're like swimming in a pool of kids' stuff. I can say that I'm still fond of toys even though I'm already at my twenties, but for collection's sake only.

I loved it when we were younger and use to go to Cape Cod for vacation every Summer with my grandparents, it would be my mom, younger brother and I. It was a great time and I wish we had kept up with the tradition but after my grandmother passed away we didn't go. I went earlier this year with a friend but that was it. I also remember all the great Christmas' we spent together, as well as going to the Zoo every Summer, my mom always made sure my brother and I got to go at least once a year with her. I have so many childhood memories, I miss being a kid, my only worry was getting my chores done so I could get my allowance money lol and going to school and taking care of my homework. I wish I could go back for at least a week, it would be awesome.
