I could remember my first day in pre-school (Nursery), I could remember a classmate bringing along his baby bottle of milk and laid on the floor and drank her milk during our recess. I could remember too on that day that a classmate of mine pooed in his pants. I could even remember the entrance test we had so as to be admitted to school. I could remember the little stools and tables and that the teacher gave me a giraffe ruler as a token. I was around 4years old then. How far can you remember?

I remember the day that my little brother was born very clearly. I was about 3. I also remember nursery school and the smell of it and some of the songs and things we did. I have a really strong long term memory. Its things that happened five minutes ago that I have trouble remembering. it kind of sucks.

I've never seen the show but I do have a terrible short term memory. My boss used to get so so frustrated with me. He'd ask me a question about something that happened on my shift and for the life of me I could not remember but I would remember to try to remember. Sometimes I'd remember on my way home from work but more often than not it would be the next day while taking a shower or something and I'd call him all excited because I finally had an answer. It's like it has to simmer and age for a while before it turns into a real memory for me or something like that. I really don't know but that's how it is.

this is not exactly a happy one but, I have a clear memory of drowning in a pool. I was bobbing along, showing off, when suddenly I was over my head. this was one of those pools that has a drop off step not a gradual slope. I did not know how to swim and began that arm to the side push up to keep my head above water. I was going down and could see someone coming to get me from underwater. I dont recall if I had sucked in a lot of water or not, I didnt need CPR, but I sure can remember every last second of that experience. I recalled this later in life, thinking it was a dream, I asked my mom about it. She told me that had happened when I was 4, and it was my cousin that had saved my life. I owe her big time.

Oh you just reminded mo of how I too was drowning when I was little in the sea. It was really something different because I swear we weren't that far because when my uncle pulled me up, he was wondering why I wasn't able to reach the bottom when it was just just over my waist there. I guess the sea wanted me, but he saved my life. Whew.. Terrifying ain't it?

I think when you are really young that you remember things that are emotional or traumatizing for you. I was 3 when my little brother was born and I remember it because I was in the yard when a car pulled up and out she ran with a suitcase and shouted for me to go to my grandmothers. Off she went. I thought she was leaving because I was such a bad kid. I was devastated and did not even think to run across the street to my grams but instead called my other gram across town. it caused a big family issue because I told her that I was homeless and abandoned. I wasn't trying to cause problems...I thought that I was. oops.

I can still remember the time when I was put into the swimming pool and was able to swam like a dog. I was 4 years old at that time. Those moments that happened after that incident has been stored in my memory. I observed that the common things that would really be remembered are those very happy events and traumatic ones. I can never forget the exact scene when I fractured my arms. From the moment I jumped and saw how my arms were fractured up to the moment when the doctor pulled my arms to align my bones. At five years old at that time I can still vividly recall that accident until now.

Oh yeah, I think you're right when you said that it's usually the happy moments and the traumatic ones that tend to stick to our memories. Whew, I could even remember in detail (and even in emotion) the pain of having my arms and knees scratched when I fell off the skateboard at a sloped area with rough cement. Waaaaa!

I can remember from the time even before I first joined school in kindergarden. Honestly! I remember spending most my time playing at home and when I finally had to go to school I remember I would think less of my classmates for being cry babies. To top it all I think I was only 4 years old then. (I'm such a critic even when I was young hehe)

Hello laydee. I remember that I was taken to our local kindergarten by my elder sister who is six years older than me when I was four as well. I was shy then on the first day. It was a small kindergarten, but there were quite a few small kids there. Right now the old kindergarten is still there, but it is now a living place for some families who rent it. Once in a while I go and have a look at it from outside when I pass there.

I remember before I was five years old there was a fire in the apartment building where we lived and my dad came home and took me in his car, an old Austin Minor, away from the building, on his shouilder. I remember once when I was about three years old there was a spider in my shoes and I was crying about it and daddy was insisting that I put on my shoes until mummy told him something was wrong and he found the spider. I remember the first place I lived in when I was born. It was a hotel with apartments at the back. Today it has been converted into an office building. It is still there. I pass it many times right now. That was 57 years ago.

I remember myself playing with other kids back when I was a preschooler. I could even remember how we used to play with our toys in the playground. Our so-called school was just a space in the house, wherein we sit in floors and color our coloring books. I was one of those kids who bring a baby bottle of milk, and I drank milk in the baby bottle until I was 5, I think. Haha. Take care! :)

I can remember back to when I was about 4-5 one of my brothers giving me a ride on a merry go round and I got sick then when I stood up I fell down. I can remember the first color television set that we got it was like 3foot by 2foot wide. It was so small I thought it might be a toy. My mother picked it up and threw it out of the house. My mother was weird she didn't want us to watch TV or listen to the radio either.

I remember vague memories from when I was very young around Christmas time. I also begin to remember a little more as I began school. I remember getting on the bus for kidnergarten. I remember vacations when I was in elementary school. I had a great childhood. I can even remember what the air smelled like when i was young. I loved my life when I was young. Thanks for the memories. dl
