Keep on reading english articles and always have a dictionary besides you, so that whenever you encounter an unfamiliar word, look the meaning of it in the dictionary. Also watch english movies. Happy myLotting!

Hi, xinerbeauty, do you have foreign friends? You said everyone around you speakes English. Does it include foreigners? I was in the same situation as you before. Then I found some qualified English corners may be helpful. Coz you can pracise your oral English at least. And some foreigners will also go there, too. (Another way, I don't know if you're interesting or not. But in my city, every church has their English corner and English bible class, the teachers are foreign friends. And they are patient and kind.) You can also talk to yourself in English if you're alone. It makes your oral English more fluent and skilled. Hope all of these will be helpful for you.

As you said everyone around you speak Chinese you should look for others ways to speak english. One good idea is to use yahoo messenger. Yahoo messenger allows free voice chat. You can talk to native english speaker or others who can speak good english. You can also use skype. In Skype you can choose people from different locations and language. To learn new words and improve you listening skills you can join australianetwork.com. In this site you can download videos and can listen to them. BBC.com has a english programme, you can try that also.

Yes English language is very easy to learn. Talk to your loved ones in english there you can find mistakes and you can overcome them next time when you speak to outsiders. Try this and one more if you have local news paper or local news paper (that were not in english) try to translate them that will be sufficient for you to gather enough courage and you can talk freely in english.

Hi xinerbeauty, I suggest watching three english movies everyday for 6 months. Initially, u may find it tough, and get only 10 to 20 percent of dialogues, but over a period the percentage will improve. Reading a lot of story books, and gossip or film magazines helps. I know everybody will ask u to read classics. But there is nothing like English film magazines, or English gossip magazines for learning the language faster. I am sorry but that is true. My personal favorites though are Jeffrey Archer, Sidney Sheldon, Arthur Hailey, Leon Uris, and Alistair Maclean. I also liked a few Harold Robbins, and Jacqueline Susanne. U could even try Danielle Steel, Barbara Cartland, Denise Robbins, and a few Mills and Boon. Please remember the objective and forget the content in some of them. :)

Another suggestion would be to participate in a language exchange program. It's not an official program or anything like but what you do is find a Native English speaker who wants to learn your native language. You teach him that language and he, in turn, will teach you English.

I can see your english is not that bad.language learning is a long long journey, you have to walk this way by urself, step by step. Dont be hurried,We all through this period,Now you need to accumulate and enrich your vocabulary, word is the basic of a language,You may set up a plan of learning, gradually, you will find that you are not the one that used to be.come on,it's never be late to start doing something.come here more, you would learn the simple and simon-pure english.

Can you have access to tv or radio in English? That's how I learnt my English, just watching tv on English channels. And the other thing is always to try and chat, write, spend plenty of time on places you can at least write in English. Actually, the best way is to exercize, sosurf the web in English, read books in English, chat in English, write in English...and if possible watch movies in English. That really helps. I know at first you feel lost because you aren't into it but just keep going and you'll start understanding it.

I would advice you to join english Speaking classes. This will surely help You. Otherwise as others said, Practice it by spending more time with someone who knows english better than you. Maybe he/she can help you with it. By that time, you can also learn Chinese language as it is spoken more in your locality. Best of Luck!

Hi! A friend of mine is living in a foreign country with her husband and she learns to speak in their language by reading some children books and it is very useful because now she is getting better. So, I think it will help if you buy some English books, I mean story books for children with simple words as a starter. Try to read out loud, but not too loud of course. Just say out the words and while reading if you don't understand the meaning of some words, underline those words and look up in a dictionary. So, you must have a dictionary with you all the time. I also think that by watching English movies with English subtitles or by listening to some English songs with lyrics and moderate tempos can help in improving your English. However, if you want to learn with a proper guidance, it is much better if you join a class for English Language if it is available in your country. Anyway, I hope my suggestions will help you in some ways. All the best, XinerBeauty!

hi xinerbeauty... Welcome to myLot... There are a lot of ways that you could learn english. You could buy books with CD's on phonetics or learning English languages. You could use this languages in dealing with the people in your school, business or even with dealing with the foreign people you are to meet, since most of the people here already understand English.

The English language is very easy to learn. I suggest that you read English books and other literary pieces written in English. It won't just widen your vocabulary but you'll also get to understand the use and structures of proper or correct english sentences. Should there be words that you don't understand or read, refer to an english dictionary, or you can look for an online english dictionary should a physical dictionary wont be available in your home.Reading English articles out loud also enhances your enunciation of English words, even if you just alot 15-30 minutes everyday in reading out loud articles, it would be of great help. I also suggest that you recite tounge twisters in English. Trust me it would really be fun learning English. Hope I was able to help!!:-)
