Do you think that you get enough sleep? How much sleep do you think is enough? What happens to you when you don't get enough sleep? Have you ever gotten too much sleep? What did that make you feel like? Do you try to make sure that your child(ren) get enough sleep everyday? Do you think that not getting enough sleep, can make a difference in how you preform everyday tasks? Why or why not?

I think the sleep I get is enough but really would sleep more. I sleep 8 hours, sometimes 7, but I feel at the top if I sleep 9. So for me the best is 9. When I don't get enough sleep, first I get eyecircles and those look ugly, but I don't normally get anything else, don't feel sleepy either, maybe a bit fatigued, and slow to respond. I don't have children but when I was a baby sitter I wanted the kids to go to bed in time, and no fuss! And yes, sleep is essential to working properly over the day!

seven to eight hours of sleep is enough for me but I seldom do sleep that long. lols, because I work at night and sleep during the day. unlike the night sleep, during the day, i wake up several times due to the noise the bright surroundings. It usually feel a lot better with those times that I can sleep for 8 hours a day and it makes you feel more energetic.

I try to make sure that I get at least 8hrs every night, often it ends up being more like 9. If I dont get at least 7 I have a hard time being productive the next day. Take for example last night, my buddy came over to play pool, and ended up staying till 11:30. By the time I got to bed it was 1am. Then I had to get up at 6am to go take him to the dentist for a tooth removal. I figured since I get all the sleep I need most nights that I would be able to handle one short night, I was wrong! I have been useless all day. I watched some TV and now am just sitting here writing on whatever topic interests me, though I fear that my comments may have a pessimistic attitude. Going to bed early tonight, unless I catch a nap this afternoon.

I like to sleep as I am sure a lot of people out there do,and I think most of the time I get enough sleep, and I think usually eight hours or more is enough sleep for me,but sometimes less works too, when I do not get enough sleep I get really cranky and start biting the heads off of people,I do not think there is too much sleep, and I have never gotten too much sleep, and when me and my wife have kids,I am sure we will make them get enough sleep so they can focus in school, and yes I think if you do not get enough sleep your brain does not function properly,so it makes it harder to think, and accomplish everyday tasks,it also makes it harder to focus on driving and other things when you do not get enough sleep, which can be very dangerous.

Unfortunately I can't say that I get enough sleep at night and this affects me. I get around 6 hours of sleep per day, which really lowers my concentration. This is because I have a lot of Uni work and in the morning I am often woken up by people as I live on my University campus. When I get too much sleep, I feel drowsy which is also bad as not having enough sleep. At times I think that I would prefer not having enough sleep as I can get these boosts of energy which I do not get when oversleeping.

i think 6 hours is good enough, if we are sleep-deprived body limp and the workings of the brain breaks down.

Yes, I do get enough sleep. Enough sleep is gained when by the time you wake up, you feel alive and energized. When you don't feel dizzy (wanting to doze off more). Definitely, not getting enough sleep makes a big difference doing the things you normally do everyday. When performing an "idle" tasks, you tend to close your eyes and needing a break in between. This makes your task broken and unaccomplished on time.

I don't get enough sleep and I always complain about it. I also don't drink coffee, so oftentimes I have a hard time at work. My caffein fix is coke, but sometimes it isn't just enough. After lunch, I always find my eyes drooping and catching myself just about to fall asleep, while I am on my desk in front of a computer monitor. Twice, I found myself snapping awake while I was in a meeting. So, yes (lack of) sleep does affect me very much.

To sleep there is no standard answer. Of course, adults, for example, the general argument is 8 hours. Some people are inherently less sleep than others, or multi-point, there is a reason for this is to spend the day with the energy you are, Therefore, as long as suit their like, it does not matter can be measured.

Yeah, I do. The amount of sleep required totally varies from person to person. While some may be fine sleeping only 5 hours, others may need 10 to fully recover. Lack of concentration, irritability, fatigue and grogginess usually indicate sleep deprivation. Nope, never slept too long before. I think that a lack of sleep affects you in a negative way (as stated above) and it makes a significant difference whether you've only had 2 hours of sleep or 6 hrs Conclusion: always try to get enough sleep and go to bed early :D

I think I get enough sleep. It seems that the amount of sleep you need depends on the person. My mom feels groggy and gets a headache if she sleeps for 8 hours. I, on the other hand, feel exhausted if I don't get at least 8 hours. When I get too much sleep, I feel bogged down all day. I think it can make a difference in how you preform daily tasks, simply because your brain is still tired. It can't focus correctly.

Human body do need relaxation to rejuvenate energy. No matter what age of you are but sufficient hours of sleep is must for all. Machines can works for hours after hours continuously but we human body needs balanced food and sleep system regularly. I need 8 hours of sleep and if I do not get it headache and weakness comes up in day time and I can not concentrate on any of my work no matter how easy it is. I feel restless and can lead to health problems. It happens with me if I keep awake myself for late night to study purpose or listen to music in night before sleep time and if I forget time zone and sleep late.

Hi Crivas, I am sleep-deprived, I only get about 5-6 hours everyday. And it's not because I don't have time to sleep, it's because is seems my body clock has been conditioned to wake me up after 5 hours of slumber, it won't allow me to have some more. I can't sleep no matter what I do after I have had my few hours sleep. About my kids, yes I make sure they get enough sleep everyday. I let them follow a routine to ensure that everything is done (homeworks, washing up)before it's time to go to sleep.

Hi CRIVAS! I usually lack sleep everyday, I goes to sleep at 10 in the evening and wake up at 3 in the morning. That is 5 hours sleep already but for me it is not enough. Adequate sleep for me is 7 to 8 hours. That would energize me enough to stay fully awake the following day. My body got used to getting up at 3 in the morning so on weekends even though i want to get up late, i still wake up at three. Enough sleep is beneficial to the body so we should see to it that we get enough sleep everyday.

Lately, I have an abnormal sleep pattern. I fell aslepp at 3 in the morning and I woke up at around 10. This started the month I graduated in college. The feeling is not good to have an abnormal sleep pattern. Sometime you will feel that you are the only person in the world. No one is texting you, no one is calling you, no one is chatting with you. Thats why I want to cure this abnormality. Any help?
