Buying jeans!

I fin it so hard to buy jeans!! I am quite an awkward shape as if I find a pair that fit me in the waist they are then either made too tiht around my thighs or too loose and I really struggle to buy jeans - in fact it takes me so long to find a good pair that I never own more than one pair at a time generally!! Do you struggle to find jeans to fit you comfortably?

Yes I have that problem sometimes too. It's hard to find jeans that fit the legs and the waist area just right. I actually have a bigger problem with shorts! I own so few pairs of shorts because most of the time they're too loose in the leg! It drives me crazy. Obviously the people who make jeans don't take real bodies into consideration!

So THAT'S why we get all those shots of models in Daisy Duke Jean shorts!

Thats it really isn't it? The waist may fit but, then not the leg or vice versa!! Grr!

As a Guy with a bit of a middle age spread (that I'm trying to fight off!) I can thankfully still buy off the peg jeans that fit me,which is good..Getting a good fitting pair would depend both on the maker and the cut,and sticking with them..I remember other mylot discussions about how many pairs of Jeans was enough, with some mentioning having up to 100 pairs, which I thought a bit OTT..I don't think I'd have more than about 5 or 6 pairs around the house..I don't buy new ones until an old pair would wear out..

It sounds as though you need to get out window shopping more often so you can see what's available and suitable for You before You have a crisis purchase situation on Your hands!

Well thats the thing see - I get so frustrated trying to find a good pair that I really put it off until I no longer can get away with wearing my old ones!! lol Which in turn is why I normally only ever own one pair at a time because not only that but, jeans can be expensive and so sometimes I find a pair that fit really well but, then I cannot afford to buy a couple of pairs in one go!

I have this problem too! I know that guys generally don't have this problem, as most guys don't really care, and I don't have any weird shape or anything (I think). My problem is length and being comfortable wearing it. So, if you look in my closet I have a bunch of jeans that I rarely wear. I only wear them if absolutely nothing clean is left.

Now don't even get me started on length! Haha - I find a good pair and then they are miles too long which is another problem I always face and why else I don't buy a lot because it is just too much hassle!

Don't shop assistants (when you can find one!) offer measuring or advice on fitting jeans when you're buying? As long as I can get my waist measurement and leg length in the pair that I want off the peg,it's pretty much a done deal for Me..Mind You,I'm not shopping for skinny, bum hugging or lycra varieties..what about You?
