Who Gave And/Or Received Magazine Subscriptions For Christmas?

My husband gave me Newsweek magazine for Christmas, which he asked for, and I gave him Canadian Geographic, and Mcleans (Canadian news magazine) which he asked for. Mom gave us National Geographic, and I already get Reader's Digest and Chatelaine.
So, which magazines did you give and receive this Christmas?

I had a coupon/gift card so I ordered my daughter a magazine subscription to one of the weight loss magazines that she wanted and only had to pay $4.95 for a year. I felt pretty good about that and I thought it was a nice Christmas gift. I wrote up a note and put that under the tree to give her so she'd know about it. That's the only magazine subscription gift though. I don't know anyone who gives magazine subs. as gifts and that's too bad because they are great! I love reading magazines. I have subscriptions to, ahem, three or four horse magazines that I enjoy each month.

I had a hard time deciding this year what extra things to buy my husband for Christmas. He has about everything he has ever wanted already. Spoiled, LOL. I thought about getting him a subscription but I thought it may have been a waste of money since we are trying to pay off some bills. I didn't receive any either.

No magazine give and take for me this holiday season so far. Personally I don't go for subscription, but I just buy whenever I feel like. But my husband like to keep the Science subscription all the time.

My mom usually gives me Guidepost, I get it on line since we travel all over and I would probably never get to read the actual printed mag.

Nope. No magazines given subscriptions given or received here for Christmas.
Actually, that is something that I usually don't think about in terms of Christmas gifts. However, a subscription to a magazine can be a really nice gift.

hi danishcanadian thats a fantastic idea for a christmas gift and why did I not think of that? I have several magazines I usually buy from the stands and I should really get a subscription to them instead. thanks for giving me some ideas for next year. Happy New Year to you and yours.

I didn't give out or receive any magazine subscriptions this Christmas but I know there are quite a few people that did. My daughter is a Girl Scout and we just did our magazine subscription sales and there were quite a few people that ordered the magazine subscriptions as gifts. The most that were sold was People, Cosmopolitan and Parenting...
