After reading this article I have my doubts that Chuck Norris would ever be able to get past the smart remarks and jokes about his martial arts porous and his acting career. http://onlineapps.newsvine.com/_news/2008/10/08/1969861-chuck-norris-2012?threadId=382805&commentId=11515049#c11515049 What are your thoughts? I think he would be great in office. We need someone like him. Agreed?

We need someone who's actions in government reflect the constitution, not their own ideologies. Chuck is not one of those people. I'd vote for Scooby Doo before I'd vote for him. He probably wouldn't get past the smart remarks, and I sincerely doubt he'd ever make it into office....at least not outside of Texas.

Ron Paul had a great, and very loyal, following, too. That didn't stop him from failing miserably to not only be elected, but making it on to a ticket in most states. I think when Obama's time is up there's probably going to be a huge anti-Dem backlash and a Republican is very likely going to be the next president. However, I don't think it would be Norris. He would get the evangelical vote, but he probably wouldn't get votes from the more moderate parts of the Republican party.

Sorry, but no. Now if it was Ben Afleck, Jon Bon Jovi or George Clooney that would be different! Annie

That's only a coincidence! They're all people who are "celebrities" yet they're politically active and actually know what they're talking about on the issues and they put their money where their mouths are. Annie

Don't get me wrong, I like Chuck, but this would be the equivelent of electing Oprah as president. Lets see him run for a city position, perhaps even mayor of a city in Texas, move to state legislature, governor, and on up and see what he does in all that first.

By a LOOOOONG shot. But if reagan had come right out of hollywood and right straight in to a presidential election, he probably wouldn't have gotten anywhere.

I like your idea xfahctor. Look where Ronald Reagan started and IMO he beat what we have in the White House now. But then giving it a little more thought anything other than Pelosi and Company would beat what we have.

I would just like to see Chuck in an office. ANY office. And if Reagan can do such a good job then I think Chuck could also.

He had a child not too long ago and he's in his 60s. Maybe he'd just like to make the occasional movie or show and raise his kid, enjoy his wife. He's worked long and hard, starting when he was in the Military and now if he wants to retire, I think he should. When I'm in my 60s, I don't want to run for office.

That's very true, but most don't have a child that young. The pitter, patter of todler feet in the White House!

Ya, he is getting along but most candidates are up there a ways by the time they get nominated anyway.
