I started a discussion, but didn't have a picture to go with it.
Well, last night the roommate finally got the pictures off her camera!
Here is Rygel with his "sash" of the tuna wrapper!
Do you have any idea how hard it is to take a picture of a cat who wants to go places and do things?
Have you ever come home to find your cat wearing something inappropriate?

My cat runs and gets caught in the shopping bag handles. He pulled one shopping bag across the carpet. The handle was green from Price Chopper, he looked like he was one of Santa's helpers.

My cat is fine. These are not bag handles that I will cut up. I bought these bags. They're for heavy loads when shopping and at Hannaford's I get money back for reuse bags. Usually I fold them up and put them in a safe place. I use these bags every week. They aren't the plastic single use bags. He normally just shakes anything off him, but something startled him.
I stopped worrying about this cat. He needs a baby sitter. First week I got him, he tried to jump into a pre-heated 350 degree oven (had to catch him in mid-air), climb up into the refrigerator where he was almost shut in alive and slept under (what I didn't realize was leaking)a leaking fuel oil tank. I had to bring him to the vet for the last one. They had to knock him out and wash him up. He was 5 and had never been in a house, he's 15 now and it's impossible to cat proof the house for him. He's always into something.
Still, I'll fold up the shopping bag and make sure it gets into the car better. Until the next dangerous thing he gets into. . . .

I saw the pix, there was no other way you could have gotten it off the poor baby. My Siamese, Charlie, somehow had managed to get his fat head through one of the plastic six pack holders back in the 1970's. Nothing is harder than trying to cut something off a struggling cat! I was sure that I was going to cut his head off while I was trying to get the ring cut off.
It never ceases to amaze me what kind of trouble cats can get themselves into! Like the tuna wrapper, how can he manage to get it stuck on himself so securely and tightly that you had to cut it off? If the cat could talk he would look at you and say "I dunno!" Fortunately it wasn't a serious matter where you had to rush the poor baby to the vet!

haha, that is a cute picture and very pretty, lovely cat. I am sure it was hard to take a picture of a cat moving sooo much and wanting to play.

No I never caught my cat in anything other that the sleeve of one of my fleece hoodies. She used to think it was a pretty cozy place to sleep...even though it was too snug on her to 'curl up' in. Years ago we did go through a spell where I was constantly finding my son's underwear in the livingroom...and not just socks. I really thought he was waiting until I went to bed and then streaking through the house. And I asked him repeatedly about it. One day I found the culprits. My cat and our chihuahua were raiding his hamper after he'd gone to bed. They worked in tandem, both grabbing an article of underwear. I wish I'd had a video camera back then...

I’m glad you won over the Internet and I got to see Rygel’s special ‘sash’ that is cute! He is such a beautiful cat, how old is he? He looks very striking. Our kitten Hewy gets caught in all sorts of things and places, sometimes he gets stuck! He is such a handful, as much as I love his kitten ways, I can’t wait until he settles down a bit but I have a feeling that I have a long wait...Good one Rygel!

He just turned FIVE!!! He was a busy kitten, and still a busy cat. Nef, who is 8ish, was probably the same way as a kitten, she sure is busy NOW! We got her at the end of 06 and she was probably born in the summer of 02 from what we learned from her previous owner - she flies through the house with the greatest of ease, she literally bounces off the walls! Even seen her go from a seated position, off the wall and down the hall!
