Traveling by plane, train or bus

I have traveled by plane in order to reach far away destinations. I like to get a window seat then I can see the land on take off and landing. I have been all the way to Australia and New Zealand by plane. Traveling by plane is less enjoyable these days due to higher costs because of the price of fuel and extra bother with airport security. Like I don't like having to get rid of my drinks of water before I go through security. I have traveled on many trains. I have been on trains in Europe, America, Kenya, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand. I find the seats comfortable and like seeing the view from the window. I like to sleep in comfortable compartment overnight and arrive at my destination feeling refreshed. I don't enjoy traveling by bus quite as much. How about you? Do you like flying on a plane, traveling by train and going by bus? Why?

Hi Maxine, I cannot go to many places from my country if it´s not by plane. I don´t like travveling by bus very much because I feel that my legs are longer than the space I have to put them. And so, I have to stay in one position during the trip. I prefer a place, even if now the economic class passengers (such as I) are usually packed like sardines. But it gets faster where I want to go. Take care!

I enjoy riding the plane just like you and window seat is great but it's hard to disturb people riding beside me everytime I need to stand up so lately I choose the seats near the aisle. Riding plane makes me feel rich and whenever I go to far-away places, planes are the best option for me.

I travelled a lot by plane for work. I don't like flights that last more than 6 hours. Flights that are more than 20 hours including transits usually see me losing my voice due to the dry airplane air. I travelled a few times by train for leisure. those were nice times. I like being able to see changing scenary. And eating from the restaurant car, even though those tend to be overpriced. I usually don't enjoy travelling by bus or coach, but there was once I really enjoyed by 5 hour coach trip. Tthey had individual tv screens for each seat and I watched so many korean dramas I didn't want to get off the coach even when I had arrived!

I have been on a plane once (well, twice, considering it was round-trip, I guess) and I actually like flying. I like take off. And landing. It's a bit exciting and taboo for me since it took me 19 years of my life to take my first plane ride. I have never ridden in a train (With every discussion I respond to of yours, I'm feeling less and less experienced in the 'traveling' category ). I've ridden on many busses, but only the type that are "metro" busses and take you all over town. Those were never very comfortable and pretty ghetto to say the least. Out of the two I've experienced, I'd definitely say I have to prefer flying.

I think trains are really cool. When I'm not in a hurry, I like trains and buses, other than the time factor, trains and buses are pretty much all around better ways to travel.

Maxima Ji, Travelling is just suffering though it may be by plane, or by train or by bus. We opt for travelling for enjoyment just once a year but for the job purposes or for emergency domestic purposes many times a year or even many times during a month, sometimes. But if we have to travel, may be for whatever reasons, then I think bus travel is the most enjoyable because you meet and interact with people a lot because usually the bus journeys are undertaken for a short time.

Like you I too like traveling by train. You rightly said, traveling by train is more enjoyable. By seating window side we can enjoy the panoramic view. In plane it's just impossible. Bus journey is uncomfortable. We have to face problem when we use toilet in a bus. Women have to face more trouble. For far away destination there is no alternative other than plane. Really I enjoy traveling by train, but not bullet train.

Most of all the traveling that I've ever done has either been in a car or on a plane and I prefer the plane for a longer trip and the car for a short trip. I like the atmosphere of flying the majority of the time. However, there are also times that I do not enjoy flying. The long flights are difficult for me because there is inevitably a child in the plane that doesn't know how to behave. The longest flight that I've ever had was when I had the opportunity to go to Paris and Italy and it was a good flight on the way back to the states, but on the way there, we did have a very hyper child.

What I like the most is traveling by train. I like enjoying the scenery which I can't get while being on plane. But what I use most often is the plane, especially before I move to live with my husband (we lived in different province).

..Hi there maximax8, I like traveling by plane because of the time factor. You get where you are going in good time. Although, with as you say, the security checks and the slow process, it takes so much longer these days. I love a train ride, looking at the scenery, going to the dining car. It's a great experience riding on a train. I would love to ride on one of those European trains. Buses I don't like too much, the seats are not as comfortable as they could be, and it seems very closed in most of the time. Good question. Take care. :o)

People always needs to travel one from place to another. It is one of the oldest actiivity that we can relate to humanity on earth. It depends on a person how he like to travel according to time, importance of need and the cost of travelling. I think all means of travel are important these days. The most widely used is the train. Of course train journey is most enjoyable and gives you a touch of beatiful natural scenaries which will make your heart peacefull you become garteful to God.

Hi max,my favorite mode of transport is sea. I simply love it. However, nowadays we always seem to be in a hurry, so air travel is my choice. As with you, bus travel is my least favourite. Mike.

oh, i'd rather take a plane anytime. I have never traveled by train to a foreign land. (i'm not referring to the tram or those internal modes of transport). I'm not a fan of trains i would say. The journey is too long and too "hard" for me. Perhaps, my perception of a train is from what i see (and those trains that i see here isn't very appealing). As for buses, i get motion sickness rather easily. In the sense, some bus drivers love to brake and jerk the bus ever so frequently that i just jerked forward and backwards so much that i feel sick. Therefore, my final verdict, is the plane. I get to see the clouds, get good service but of course it's expensive.

I traveled by plain long time ago. For me it is a good experienced and I like to travel again by plain if I have another chance. Traveling by train? it was good also and I had the experienced on it. But that was long long time ago too when i was too young. Today there is no train here to travel daily for long distance travel. Only we have are light rail train within the metro manila or he city. I hate to ride in a bus but i have nothing to do because more of our transportation we use here now are more buses. Especially traveling into far cities and town. I love also traveling and visits different places. Thank you and have a nice day friend.!

Wow to tell you the truth they pretty much both suck, but i would say the one that sucks the less would have to be a train. In a bus you will be all smooshed together and it's worst when babies are crying oh and haven't you watched the news lately. there is a bigger possibility of a bus crashing than a train. i'm pretty sure a train would get there faster but then sometimes the train doesn't drop you off exactly where you want to. well just to conclude, take the train, it will save you time, and stress. Train .............=)

First off, I do not like to travel especially by plane. I'm a scaredy cat when it comes to travelling and riding planes most especially. If ever I need to ride the plane I pray very hard from take off to touch down---the whole time, I am not very comfortable like some of you. I just close my eyes and pray until I reach my destination.
