In China, life index is stable in recent years.but it has a trend of rise.usually, our daily life cost is not too expensive.in countryside ,it's ok if you have 2000-3000 chinese yuan every month per family.in middle city,3000-5000 chinese yuan could live a middle level life.in big city, i think you must have at least 15000-20000 to live a middle level life .how about your counrty?

Hi zhouxi. It depends what part of the USA one lives in. Some places are more expensive than others. I live in Maryland, on its Eastern Shore. It is less expensive here than let's say the counties near Washington DC. We've just checked our tax form for 2008 and we (both my wife and I) made a total of around $28,000. That was enough to pay all our bills then have some left over for a trip to see relatives and maybe buy an inexpensive treat. Our mortgage is around $540 a month. Land taxes total something like $950 a year.

i dont know anything about chinese yuan, maybe you can change it to dollars then we can understand better, because i wanna come to china for a trip and wanna spend some money there, for example what can i buy with 10 dollars there, i have no idea, in japan everything is expensive, and the other thing there is no discount culture here. everything that you wanna buy you just can buy with the price which writing on it,you can t say (how about 2900yen?)if you see the price like 3000 yen. in turkey discount is easy, and it s good. happy mylotting

If you come to China ,you should change your currency into Chinese yuan.when you spend your money(Chinese yuan) in China, you feel everything is very cheap.

The cost of living in my country is still manageable. It depends where one live. I have lived in the city area and it is far expensive than living in the village which I have now relocated myself. In the city, every foot you step outside means money while in the countryside there is less competition and we can live a life without the air of extravaganza.

Hi zhouxi, cost of living in my city is not as high as elsewhere in the country. But amenities are also not as many. :) Still, I could say, for a comfortable living (I am a vegetarian and a teetotaler) 15000 INR is enough for a family of two. This is without considering any medical insurances, mortgages, monies towards taxes, and clothes. 1 dollar is about 45 rupees as of date. :) It is a middle level life zhouxi. :)

Hello zhouxi Here in the USA, a human life is not worth much, at least by the government. Friends and family may hold their loved ones lives as priceless, but that's another thing altogether. As low as our lives are worth here, many hold people who are not USA citizens' lives in even lower regard. There are many USA citizens who think that the USA is somehow greater and better than other countries, and they think the lives of those in other countries are worth less, and expendable.
