Hi MyLotters! I'm 23 and I still play with "toys." Not like barbie dolls (although, I wasn't that into those as a little girl) but puzzles, building blocks, those kinds of things. And I mean it, like very seriously. It's a way I relax and decompress. My question: Do you still play with toys? Do you recognize the title/song lyrics? lol

hi upsidedownpinapple everytime I see your username I get hungry as it reminds me of pineappleupside down cake my mom used to make. I was like you even in my teens. I love to play with puzzles and building blocks erector sets all those boy toy things. Now I am elderly but I love to do jigsaw puzzles on the net at my age. whew. oh yes I have heard that Toysrus theme song for years.Once I got it in my head and was going around the library where I worked humming the thing, and soon had half the staff humming it, and some wondered where on earth they had heard that tune.lol lol lol.

That cake is so good. :) I think it's good to play with puzzles and thing, too. I think it's refreshing, emotionally and intellectually. And that song is sooo catchy. I love it. lol

THere's nothing wrong playing with toys at any age ^_^ It's a form of relaxation, for us to break away from the stress faced in daily life.. haha =D I do play with toys once in a while, when i happened to be in a toy store.. haha =D THey are just too fascinating, and one is really tempted to have a touch on them.. lol =D After all, we are all kids before.. NO matter what, the child-like, character of urs, will always be in us, just that we are too embarassed to be showing it again.. hehe ^_^

I also like to play the toys. So I have enough reasons to buy more toys for my child because actually I like to play them, too:) It is nothing wrong for an adult to play the toys. Today's toys are advanced and it is much more interesting. It is nice that I can really enjoy playing the toys with my child. I love China

Hi UpsideDownPineapple, While I don't really play with toys, I like to think that there is still a bit of the child in me. I sometimes play with my grandchildren and if they are playing with blocks, than I will do the same. There should be a little of the child in all of us. Blessings.

I agree, I think playfulness is healthy. And I'm sure your grandchild enjoys it immensely. :)

Hi Upsidedownpineapple, I am 25 years old, and i still love toys and dolls. haha. But i don't think that means i don't want to grow up, i want to grow up and be experienced of every step of my life. Get married, has kids, grow old together... Those will be good life experience too! If you always be the same age, then you will miss lots of other fun in life!

Yes, it's good to experiencing those things, but sometimes we should take the time to just have fun!

Recognize it? It's my theme song! That and "I won't grow up" from Peter Pan! I do puzzles, I watch Disney movies, I sing silly songs...

My son bought me a glow-in-the-dark octopus that you can throw at the window and it climbs down, a singing dog, a little wooden puppet theatre, a tiny farm set, some little dolphins that are a bit like Sylvanian toys, a paint-your-own Eeyore mug, a grow-your-own penguin.... we have a bit of a thing about penguins since he bought me the 3foot inflatable one which I had in the passenger seat of my car during the snowy weather. So, yes, I've played with them all - and why not, lots of these toys are wasted on little kids

Hello. I like your name. I don't play with toys right now, but I am not against playing if I had a chance. The toys they have now for kids always makes me think how we didn't have that stuff when I was growing up. I do have a family member who is a serious enthusiast for Lego's. In fact, she brags that she is the only adult who is a member of the lego club. She finds playing with them to be very theraputic and she is good at putting them together. I know the song you are talking about and find that it is very catchy. I don't think there is anything wrong with playing with toys if that is what a person enjoys. Who says we have to be adults every minute of the day anyway? I think playing keeps us young and that we should all do it as much as possible. So I say play on and enjoy what makes you happy.

Thank you for your response. I've heard adults playing with lego's is becoming a trend. I too like lego's and I hope to visit legoland some day. It looks like so much fun - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legoland http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4aGKCAahv4
