Do you plan out your meals for dinner before hand?

I haven't done it in a while, but I usually do. The last menu that I made was as follows: Sunday-bbq ribs, potato salad, collard greens, and cornbread. Monday-Hamburger Helper, Corn on Cob, Casesar Salad, and Garlic Bread. Tuesday- Chicken Fajitas and French Fries. Wednesday-Homemade Pizza, Hot wings. Thursday-Homemade Subs and Chips. Friday-Chili Cheese Dogs and Tater Tots. Saturday- Sandwiches. Sunday-Fried Chicken, Mac n Cheese, String Beans, and Biscuits. What do you make for dinner? Do you plan out your meals?

I plan a menu every week because I have noticed that it helps us save money. By having a weekly menu it allows me to go grocery shopping one day a week instead of having to shop on a daily basis or every three days. Planning ahead has really helped me become more organized.

When I can, I do. Not a whole week in advance. o_o What if I'm not in the mood to cook hot dogs on friday, after all? A day in advance. The rest of the time, I'm just making it up as I go...and it's rather fun to cook on the fly like that. I like experimenting with different culture's dishes. Today, I'm making; Green tea cookies Chinese Tea eggs Shu puffs TurkeyChili over rice or noodles (people's pick) turkey and gravy with brocoli and corn...over rice or noodles (people's pick) and sweet potato cake ...also a pie for my father if I can fit it in... and my mother's making some sort of bread o_o it's prolly gonna sortof be like a feast tomorrow, and normally I make JUST enough, servings wise, for everyone...it's not always like today. But yeah. Family of five, whatcha gonna do? xD

we usually plan our meals for the week and only go grocery shopping every two so we generally buy enough food for those two weeks and usually have a good idea of what foods we want for both weeks.

I buy the meat, chicken and fish every Saturday then, buy the vegetables everyday in the morning. That is when i plan on what i will be cooking for that day or for that hour of the day.

When I am out shopping, I buy stuff that go well together in a certain meal. However, sometimes, I will just whip something up on the spur of the moment using whatever is in my cupboard or I will order something. But most of the time, I do plan my meals out beforehand, usually when I am doing my weekly shop or something

We try to, but it never quite works out. It's tricky because we have rotating/weird work schedules. Your menu sounds great! I think I'm going to put some effort into this over the next couple of days.

My husband goes to the farmers market every Saturday, and buys meat, vegetables, cheese, milk and eggs. We buy a few other things at the groccery store, but we buy all of our fresh foods at the farmer's market, every week. We don't have exact meals planned, but we both know what is in the fridge. One of us will come up with an idea, and my husband will cook it up. He cooks, I'm a lousy cook, and hate cooking, but he loves it. LOL Tonight, I was in the mood for Schnitzel, and Sauerkraut. That's what we had, and we loved it.

I used to try to plan at least a week's worth of meals at a time and do my grocery shopping accordingly. Anymore, that planning has pretty much been placed on the back burner. It got to the point where there was just too much going on each evening, and the things that were bought with the intention of one specific meal were eaten before the meals were ever cooked. The frustration got the better of me, so I gave up on my meal planning... for a while anyway.

To a point I do, but I don't make a meal plan and say on this day this is what I'm going to have. I look at what I do have and say 'okay what do I have the most of, and what don't I have when it comes to something? At, that's been of my opinion anyway. I have to try and think of what I've got vers what I need and so on.

I always plan out for dinner and other meals. Me and my husband do it together. We have a weekly plan on what we are going to have for our meals and it is a good way to save time especially I work for 12 hours in a day. =)

My mom usually plans the meals so if anyone goes to the market we'd know what to buy. She posts the list on our refrigerator. She also designates who's in charge of the meal. That way our tasks are clear and if she can't come home early there will be someone doing the cooking. My chores started around when I was nine, usually I'd be the one shopping for the ingredients. Til now we still do that at home so we all learned to cook. Right now I'd be guessing that they'll be having pork chops for dinner.

I do not plan my dinner meals, I did try it once but it did not last so all I do is take the meat out and plan around the meat what I feel like and lucky we only eat mince meat and chicken fillets, so to work a meal out arround that is easy.
