hi, it will start with a big tarp. printed by your parents pictures, wishing them well on their 25 wed. aniv. food shared by the family of course, shared with family members and friends, o by the way a short program will do before the sharing of foods, with children sharing some good and memorable moments with parents, thanking them of course for their effort and generous time to be with you guys. the celebration can be an intimate one, with only children and close relatives their, or you can share it with grands and distant relatives, a reunion of some sort, depends on the finances, you can make it grand if you want to. what matters most the essence of the celebration. oh by the way, video tape those who would like to share wonderful moments with your parents and play this during the occasion as a surprise to your parents. good luck...

its good that you enjoyed the moment, your parents wedding anniversary. "... i hate my relatives." on that note, i also have a dislike over my relatives the brothers of my mother and their children, but i DON'T hate them, it will not do good to me and my relationships to my Creator. i just stay away. i live far from them, i only visit once in a while to province because of my parents. good luck...

I think your parents 25th wedding anniversary should be special. You could re-enact their meeting or marriage vows. You could have their favorite meal or take them to their favorite restaurant. You could also pay for them to take a little night out on the town or stay in a motel/hotel some place. What do they like to do? Eat?

Try to think of something they both enjoy and do it or get it. You know what they like. If you have brothers or sisters, get them also involved. Whatever you do, they will appreciate your thoughtfulness. Let us know later what you did and their reaction. Have fun!

There are a great number of things you could do, but it just depends on how much money you want to spend. An expensive option would be to book them dinner and a room in a really good hotel. Or you could organise a dinner with family and friends either at home or at their favorite restuarant. If you are looing for something less expensive how about you cook a romantic dinner for them, let them eat alone and then you go out for the evening so they can spend the rest of the evening together. Whatever you decide to do for them I am sure they will really appreciate your thought and effort.

If you want it convenient, just prepare a party for their anniversary at home. Buy a special Cake for them, delicious foods, and give them a card, you write a short story about them. Just make them laugh; give your mom a bouquet of flowers and your dad his favorite kind of thing. Just be creative of making the party a memorable one.

How about taking your parents out for a meal, or maybe to the theatre. I'm sure that whatever you do, your parents will appreciate your kindness

Hi Shyam, It much depends on what it is usually done in each country. I am aware that some of the ideas you will get here do not apply in your case. When I had my wedding anniversaries, there were many things that I liked. Some I had, some I didn´t. But what id clear is that was a part between my husband and I. So maybe, it it´s apprpiate, you can treat them to a dinner at a good restaurant. You pay for it, but you are not there. Maybe they like to be with the family. Then you could buy some nice food so your mother can enjoy and not have to work so much. Another thing that I loved to have at those occations were flowers. Flowers are SO important for women! One important thing is to talk with your father about it. At weddind anniversaries, the woman should recieve the honours. Ask what he wants to do and offer your help. Welcome to mylot and take care!

25 years is a long time for a couple to stay together these days...... My mom and dad have been together 49 years this November ...... I think the greatest gift (if you have brothers and sisters near enough) to meet maybe at their favorite restaurant and have a nice dinner with everyone..... If one of your siblings cannot make it have them to make a video message for your parents..... Better yet make a video of everyone giving them a special message and what they mean to you as being your parents.

Weel, i would say, book a place at a nice cosy and romantic restaurant, preferrably one of their favourates, and let them enjoy each others company. TATA.

Well, this is really a great one. Do you remember if you parents had any wishes if not find it now. So on their wedding make that dream possible. After all you can delight them more on these celebrations! Have fun!

If you can take them to the place where they meet, or first date. and ask your father about it. try surprising your mother of the memory of the date. I am sure your father will be happy that you will do that for him too. Hope you like it.

hi shyam__cupid As the 25th wedding anniversary is the silver one, you need something Silver as a gift , and a nice bouquet of Iris as thats the flower for the 25th wedding anniversary. Pay for them to have dinner for two out at their favorite restaurant .all by themselves, and have the hostess or host present them with a gift of something silver along with a vase of gorgeous Iris. arrange this ahead of time and let them go there buy themselves and coach the servers that this is a 25the wedding anniversary dinner so maybe they may even play some music for them. My husband always took me out to dinner someplace on our anniversary and we would order our favorites and just sit and talk.

I hope they have a very happy anniversary! I would suggest having a party for them but that has to be planned several months in advance. We had a party for my parents 50th anniversary here at the house in 1981. This is a big house and we invited 100 people. 95 people came. Why not take your parents out to eat or buy them something silver since it's their 25th? Kathy.

Shyam, I really appreciate your intention of celebrating the anniversary after you getting the job. My sincere advice to you would be, buy your parents a set of dress each (no problem at a nominal price). Next thing, find some orphanage or disabled children home near your house or in your locality. Buy lot of sweets, cakes etc. take your parents there and ask them to distribute to the inmates. Then see the contented faces of your parents, glittering with proudness for having you as their son. On behalf of all Mylotters, best wishes to your parents for their anniversary.

Maybe you can treat them to dinner at a nice restaurant, or throw them a little dinner party with a few close friends and relatives. That would be a nice way to celebrate their anniversary. Is there something they enjoy doing as a couple? Maybe they would like to spend some time together? You can get them a stay at a nice hotel, just for the two of them, they might really enjoy that!
