Evolution or God or other?

How do you think we were created and came to be here on earth? Why do you think there are so many different answers in how people were created. Why is this question so important. Why can't people just accept that things are how they are and leave enough alone? Sometimes it just makes me wonder.

How were we created is no more an important question now. The most pertinent question is how we would survive now that we have come to exist. The fear of extinction looms large in front of us. There is a depletion of energy resources. We are facing the problem of Global warming. There is a hole in the ozone layer through which the radiation is reaching the earth. Carbon dioxide level is reaching to an alarming proportion. Ask now did God create us so we may go extinct and destroy this planet as well together with us?

Nicely put Achilles. I am glad that you are aware of many of the current environmental problems that is currently posed to us. What can we do about these issues? Maybe God wants us to band together and create brother and sisterhood, so that we may learn to love each other and fix the world together. If we do not choose to do anything to save ourselves we might as well just sit down and pray and hope for a miracle. =)

Hi eddyspaghetti, Many people want to know where we as a species come from and most of those who believe in God object to the idea of evolution. I believe that we are spiritual beings and part of a universal mind but I also accept evolution. The idea that a God in the form of a man created a human from the dust of the earth is pretty far-fetched in my opinion. The soul comes from God - indeed is a part of God but our bodies evolved over millions of years. Blessings.

"How do you think we were created and came to be here on earth?" Your question reflects your own prejudice. If you believe that humans were created than that implies that there must be a creator. "Why can't people just accept that things are how they are and leave enough alone?" The answer to that is that blind acceptance is a prescription for ignorance and ignores something that is fundamental in nature. The wellspring of knowledge is curiosity and the survival of our species is dependent on an understanding of the world that we live in.

Aliens came in UFOs and planted all the plants and animals including humans. Now they're just waiting for harvest time.

That could be right! But now we'll have to answer where did the aliens came from? Who created them? How they got into their planets? Who is the Alien God that rules their lifes and destiny? And finally when is harvesting time finally comming :P

With a bang, God created the universe to unfold into what we have today. It's just like a tree grows from a seed. Wouldn't evolution describe part of this unfolding?? The unfolding of the universe has one more hidden feature no one knows about. It is unfolding in such a way that discovery of how it was done will be possible.God will teach His children.
