I seem to write less articles. I know you would think more time home I be able to write more. I seem to get other stuff around the house done like cutting the grass, laundry, cleaning the house the bathroom and when I am ready to write my daughter is on the computer talking to her friends or she wants to watch a movie with her. Do have the same problem? Thanks Unique16

I know what you mean unique16. I write the least during the weekends because everyone is at home and my husband is quite unhappy if he sees me on the computer all the time when he's at home. I used to have to share the computer with my daughters. But now that I got myself a netbook, and her aunt gave her a laptop, I have the desktop pc all to myself but still I cannot write during the weekends because I guess weekends are time for the family.

Hello UniNoor, You are very lucky to have your own computer. I need to save more moeny to do that. Hopefully in few weeks my daughter will be at camp to be a counselor to help handicap children and adults for most of the summer and then I will have my computer back. Until then I try to write or make notes on paper until I get on. Thanks for the reply. Have a great day Sincerley Unique16

I think it is more important that you get the household stuff done. I always say I am going to use the time off to get caught up on stuff at home and I never do because I end up staying in front of the computer. You are going to have to make a schedule with your daughter whether it is a holiday weekend or not. Writers and artists are not like other people and we don't keep the same hours/schedule. The fact that it was a holiday means your daughter did not need to use the computer to get an assignment which means her using it is not a priority. She can use the computer at times you definitely will not such as when you are making dinner. If you want to write for money or for a career you have to set some boundaries for your family. The internet has created a lot of opportunities for writers but you have to work really hard at it for a while for it to pay off.

Sorry I am just getting back to this; I was a little obsessed with writing last month and not spending much time on myLot. How did things turn out once your daughter went to camp?

Hello Canellita, I agree with you about my daughter. Soon she will be away at camp to be a counselor and I will have the computer myself. I just have to wait two more weeks. Then I can get into a routine etc... which what I trying to do for myself. Not easy I agree with you but it critcial for my writing etc... I agree with your comments about Artist and writers when idea hits we want to make it come forth on canvass or paper before it disappears etc... sometimes they do not hit normal working hours... but that is the creavity of our brains (lol) Thanks for the reply Have a great day Sincerely Unique16

I happened to write more this time as hubby was at work, and I am getting ready for a trip. I missed a lot of days in May, and was trying to get as much in as possible before leaving again. I will take the laptop today, but I probably will have little or not time on it. Hubby just feels that it will be good communication.

Hello GardenGerty, I understand about your husband and getting him ready for his trip. It just seems I make plans for the weekend to write but I see things around my house that needs to get done etc... Then I think I will write at night and then my daughter on or TV show comes on I get interested in etc... or a movie etc... and Just want to relax. You see I work two jobs during the week. One is full time during the day and the other is part time on Tueday, Wednesday and Friday nights sometimes I do not get home 1:00am in the morning. Thanks for the reply and I hope you have fun chatting with your husband during the week. I hope he has a very safe trip! Sincerely Unique16

Hello adam151, I hear you and when school and test yes, you need to rest the brain to keep all those facts there till the test is over. I remember those days and college. it is not easy and I see my daughter in college struggling to get everything done and keep two part time jobs going and her car on the road and not breaking down etc... I really feel for you. I wish all the best in your school work. Thanks for the reply and have a great day Sincelrey Unique16

I hope you are doing well with your writing. Have you been writing long? I started over year ago. Thanks for the reply and have a great day Sincerley Unique16

Hello oldchem1,' I do love being outdoors especailly when it is sunny and my garden which is starting to take off with all the rain we had. I do love playing in the dirt and it does relax me and I feel good after the chores are done and house is clean. Give my brain feel less clutter. Thanks and have a great day Sincerley Unique16

I tend to do less on holiday weekends and on weekends in general because I need a break, too! I work online every day otherwise. I think to be at my best, I need to come to work refreshed.

I always get less written on the weekends and holiday weekends are worse. My husband is home on the weekend and he never seems to want me to be on here as there is always something more important in his eyes for me to do. This weekend was that way as we had a lot of work to catch up around here with the horses. I was just about at the barn all weekend so not much writing got done and now I am hurrying to catch up. I have an article that must be written today and I am suffering from writers' block on it.

I don't work as much on line sometimes on weekends or holidays. It really depends. Like this weekend I went out of town so I ended up not working too much. But a lot of times I work more because I have more time to devote to it.

I usually write more articles on the holiday and holiday weekends. What's odd is that last year I had to work all four days of the holiday weekend and still did some writing of articles. Yet, this year I had plenty of time but less time to write. I went to a party, did some shopping, took a test for a job, and thus got no writing done.

Holidays and weekends are my much awaited time of the week, because I can write more articles and do more household chores than weekdays wherein I am already too exhausted from my day job. Maybe it's just a matter of time management, 'coz for me when it's weekend or holiday, I do all my household chores in the morning and when I'm already done with it then that's the time I'm going to sit infront of my PC and write my articles.

Hello edorms36, You sound just like me. I work two jobs during the week one is full time and the other is partime. Being a single mother and haveing 21 and 18 year old girls and they need things and my ex husband being on welfare which I do not see that status changing anytime soon and he is like 52 years old been in out of jobs like you would not belive. So I do this writing in my spare time that I have to earn some extra spending for me... I wish but it usally goes to the girls again (lol) Thanks for the reply Have a great day Sincerley unique16

I write less, because I try to take time off then to do other things, and just write during weekdays. It might sound strange to some, but I have found this is the best way for me.

I couldn't agree more. When I got laid-off I tried to write articles at home and for a while it was very easy as I got into a routine of writing and marketing while my husband was at work, but now he is retired and occupies my time more. I still get several hours to write but it's not the same. I get interrupted to cook or do chores. In a way it's a good thing though. Spending too many hours on my laptop has made me fatter and lazier. Not healthy at all and I am all too well aware of this. As long as I still write daily, I can't complain and so I don't. :)

Yep. I tell myself I have more time to do my online sites, but when the weekend comes, I tend to do other things more. Like cleaning our room, or the whole apartment, or doing the laundry and all those stuff, so at the end of the day, when I don't have anything to do anymore, I feel so tired that I would just forget about going online. LOL. I think I really earn more if I go online during the weekdays.
