I just responded to a discussion and pressed submit and it said that a word I had used had violated the rules. Upon re reading instead of typing Pass Out I had missed the P out lol. Have you made any real boo boos lately. I once typed a letter Dear Sir your account with us is overdue and missed the oout oooops Huggles. Ellie :D

Hey ellie! I have done that so many times on here! I sometimes will hit the submit button and then look and by then it's too late! And the worst part of it is that I used to get paid to "proofread"! And especially when I was a Legal Secretary every single word had to be exact and not even a period or capital could be wrong! Good thing I'm out of that business forever!lol

Hi Opal, I also have done a proof reading cousre and will spot once Ihave pressed submit lol but not before and yet will spot immediately in anything I am reading. Some books that have been published I quite often find them in so I don't worry about them too much. Huggles. Ellie :D

It's true! I have read quite a few books where I've also found typos! And I wonder how they got passed the many proof readings that they would have gone through! And it bothers me too!lol

Hi ellie! I have seen your discussion after a very long time? Hope all is well? It is very normal for me to commit type errors. I keep doing it, off and on. Once my friend had to type in a letter 'Chief of the Protocol', by mistake he typed 'Thief of the Protocol'.

Hopefully, your new keyboard will help you commit few type errors.

Hi SViswan, MyLot is quite fussy at times with what we can write, I am trying to respond to someone at the moment about fssils and have read and reread and it says I am violating with my use of words and I really cannot see anywhere where I am lol. Huggles. Ellie :D

Yes typos are the bane of my existance. And with no spell check at the present time it's even worse.

Hi Savypat, I have no spell check either and sometimes my mind goes blank. At least with my new keyboard where I can see the letters I shouldn't make aqs many lol. Huggles. Ellie :D

Thank you so much for the laugh ellie! I have done that before. I was responding to a discussion about gardening, and instead of hoe, I typed ho, and left out the 'e'. It certainly put an entirely new meaning to my response.

hi ellie 333 I did the same thing on a response yesterday I had typed in the word assent only my space bar skipped a space after the last s so instead I had as# space ent and of course as# is a forbidden word. so I just closed the gap and all was well. Several times I have been told I used a forbidden word and it was a matter of a missed letter or a space where it should not have been.

i Hatley, Some of the forbidden words I cannot even understand why they are but I guess as so many different cultures some could affend a lot that we would usually be ok with. So we have both had our as 's kicked then. Huggles. Ellie :D

Hi Ellie... Yeah although it was not typing error... it was a name, but it was not allowed to be used lol... So instead of using the name I had to put... Mr Van D-you know who I mean I guess I probably could have tried Mr Van D Y K E... that probably would have got through lol, but I wasn't being rude, I was just in a discussion where I was trying to talk about this famous actor lol... Never mind, I learn every day here Rosie xx

Hi Rosie, It was in fact in my response to you that it wouldn't let me post Pass Out without the P lol. There are ways round these violation words as you have just typed. Huggles. Ellie :D
