Do U Think Mylot Pays Us For Making Nonsense Comments ???

We're one of those folks who never care to discuss our friends topics directly---- If one of our FRIENDS starts a discussion titled "Do you enjoy having Ice Cream in winters or rains"----then my response would be something else which revolves around the hot things which come to our rescue in those two seasons It doesn't mean that i'm trying to divert the topic----just that i never had ice cream in my life time or i strongly disagree with the Host's Favourite Flavour being the best in the entire world You never find me doing this in a stranger's post---How about you then---would you try to be part of those folks who keep on enjoying irrespective of the topic??? Or just stay away from those LONG boxes----Tagging them to be Nonsense comments??? Whats weird is we're getting paid for those nonsense comments.Aren't we? Then what stops you from having fun----dont you get bored of making serious responses all the time which are more or less monotonous

Why are they "nonsense comments" and what constitutes a "nonsense comment"? Who determines this other than myLot? If a comment is offensive, then obviously it should be reported and removed. Other than that, if you do not like a comment, then you can either choose to respond to it or ignore it. To deem it "nonsense", in my opinion, is not appropriate, especially since sometimes there are language barriers or other situations where everyone might not understand what is being said, but that does not necessarily make it "nonsense".

Who defines 'nonsense'? Who defines 'beauty'? Surely both are in the eye of the beholder? What is 'nonsense' to one person might not be to another - and some people have become rich talking nonsense and been called 'artists' too

I actually had Mike tell me that barging or as you so call it nonsense comments, are worth more then just posting one comment, because it keeps the whole thing going sometimes for days. This helps everyone to make much more money, because we do get paid for everything that we post. Therefore barging is a good thing. As for tagging, the best kind of tagging is when you play tag your it. I had fun playing that with the kids yesterday. Ice cream in the winter time? Yeah I like it that way, it doesn't melt so fast in the winter. In the summer time though I like a hot fudge sundae. That way you can't see if its melting from the hot fudge or the heat.

Mike read the FAQs too. It's no secret. Indeed there are probably no secrets at all here. MyLot tell us to post + respond + comment to further the topic. http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq6.aspx#14

WE do earn for every single word we write in here----however comments being made in a strangers discussion or box is entirely different from those you make in your friends post coz the former ones find them stupid or odd.as long as you have fun with your friends there should be nothing bothering you Icecreams is one of all time favourites and i do not backoff in any season

Hi sunny cool: I understand that it would be probably funny to you but if I open a discussion I would love to read real answer, I'm sorry to say that. Of course you can continue doing this, I don't tag these responses as Non sense comments but I prefer not to do this. So that makes me a serious person I think. Thanks for asking me this question. Have a nice day. ALVARO.

The algorithm of earnings here is a top secret. Whether one gets paid for "nonsense comments" is not known. We could perhaps ask anyone here who is an expert at making "nonsense comments" as to what is the average number of "nonsense comments" he or she makes per day. If that is say around 100 a day (3000 a month) and the amount at the end of the month hardly comes to 10 dollars or even less that is proof enough to know that "nonsense comments" do not earn anything. Sounds reasonable. Right?

Many of those who make 'nonsense' comments' also post on discussions which they are certain will be deleted. Like those which ask questions covered by the FAQs. Sometimes they answer and then immediately report. Then they go and make 'nonsense comments' to weigh things out again and get the balance back to the fun side. If the end result is that they have fun here and manage to help someone too and at some point reach payout how can they be certain whether they are part of what they were paid for or not?

That was a good example----i dont think you would find one who make nonsense comments for entire month----actually my topic isn't really about money----just asking if people who have a misconception that lotters who are having fun doesnt earn anything. there are too many who thrive to be serious.what do you think about those?

Diana - this is not fair. I wanted to be the first one to comment and so I will pretend as though I have not read your comments. but I will come to you later! sunnycool - Money is not the only reason why people are here. I for one hunger for knowledge and I get it when I attempt those tasks. If you are also into tasks you will know surfing the net to compile the information to attempt those tasks is so fulfilling. On to Diana now - You are unique and what you do no one will dare to that is risking deletion of discussions. Your heart and soul is in it Diana and so let us not discuss your role here - you are an exception!!

It is a very valid question to the user of this site. Do Mylot Pays Us For Making Nonsense Comments ? Mylot pays us for comment. Judging from the different discussion here it is likely to be that it does not matter whether the comment is wise of nonsense. But I have noticed that many user are there in mylot that who give thinkable response with sufficient information on the topics. But the question you have raised here is not an ignorable things. Fun is another cause for people to be here. Most commonly long boxes are full of fun. The people who are habituate in joining in such boxes are very witty person. And good understanding among them. But many time those boxes are not understandable for stranger. They have good relation and understanding so they can easily understand the meaning of those lines. Most lines of such long boxes are ambiguous and unreadable for other people of those folk. In those box the discussion move towards different direction from the original topics. So it is hard for other people to maintain the direction. Those who are not here only for are not adjust themselves with that environment. So they try to avoid such long boxes.

It would be so confusing to barge in a long box---you never get a word of those spontaneous comments and those who find it difficult would either complain them to be nonsense or stay away.the latter being my preference .Despite of making comments in a long box we get paid for each and every word we write in here.

one should make sure that they type in something useful in their initial response and we know the comments follow by there by adding upto the topic
@Aaleexix (2290)

We are paid for what we type. So it tend some people to type. But most people like to comment than to just type. Because all are not typist. All writing (responses and comments) need to type but all typing can't be considered as writing. And the deference of typing and writing is the quality and those are called literal works.

Nah.. I'm not the kind of folk that would actually care much whose topic I'm participating in. I just blab around, hoping that perhaps I can some day learn the skill to bomb someone's topic. If no I'm striving to be the first.. muahahaha..

I do not think that you could ever "fill up" a discussion, especially since I have seen a few with over a hundred responses and quite a bit of back and forth interaction within a lot of those response boxes. However, if that is your goal, then I think you should definitely try it. Maybe we could have a race to see who is the first to accomplish this feat. Sunny can attest to the fact that often times I drop by many response boxes within a discussion (such as here) and we have lengthy interactions, so you might want to think twice before you accept my challenge.

Sunny .I slightly differ here.I prefer to give a sincere though monotonous response.If it were a question like that then I would definitley say thta I love it in winter or if it were about flavour I would definitely go into the graphic details about vanilla icecream with buttescotch and nuts chewed in between , an d a caramel or chocolate sauce dripping on top .My fun lies in giving sincere responses.

Thats soo coool...to have icecreams in winters and rains Many of us enjoy being part of others boxes and some prefer to stay monotonous---what i meant to say is we're being serious in our real life at our work place,with your kids and bla bla---so all it matters is if we're having fun in our comfortable ways .

I would only make not so serious comments or responses to people who know that I go off subject. I know how irritating it can be when an author of a discussion comes on and the response to the discussion has nothing to do with what they were asking.

How do we know our discussion is "nonsense"? It is very hard to label a discussion "nonsense" because we all have different level of knowledge, different interests, and culture. A topic may sound nonsense for a certain group of people, while for another group it really make sense. So, how do you know if the topic or discussion is really nonsense? I think the best way for a person who got irritated with a certain topic and labeling it nonsense, the best way for that person to do is move on to another topic or interest and enjoy his or her life there. Now for the payment, MyLot has a system for measuring the value of a topic, discussion or response. We don't exactly know how they measure it, but we know they have a systematic way of knowing the value of our every posts here so we get due compensation for our posts. The word nonsense is vague and the meaning and criteria vary from person to person.

Magtibaygom, it is interesting that you are making this kind of comment in this discussion when in a few other discussions you were talking about members just "chatting" and off-topic responses. You were against that sort of thing in the other discussions, and yet here you say that it is hard to label something as "nonsense", because one group might understand it and may not think it is nonsense while another group will read the same thing and think it is nonsense.
@sunnycool (12714)

Well someone's fun can be a BS for others and the word nonsense have been tagged by a fellow mylotter in one of my recent discussion.I was shocked to see her calling so---if she isnt interested in those kinda interactions with their friends and have fun then why would she barge into others boxes and specify that it is BS in her view.Things which are right to some folks may not be the same. If i were in her shoes then i would have just walked out of that post than to make a comment which exhibits my rudeness.

hahaha! I think so. Sometimes we make comments that are really nonsense or we make comments that are not related to the topic but we still get paid for it.
