VP Biden does not understand our system

It seems that VP Biden does not understand how our government works. The Government gets its money (taken in the form of taxes) from the people to be used according the Constitution. It is not money that is given to the government to spend any way they like. There is a story about Congressman Davy Crockett who was campaigning for reelection. He stopped to talk to a man and told him of the great things he had done as a congressman including helping the people of Baltimore who had suffered in a massive fire. Then Rep Crockett asked if he could count on the mans vote. The man replied that he could not. When asked why he replied that what Congress had done was good but it is not their money to spend on what they like. The next time Congress wanted to vote on a bill to help some group Rep Crockett said it was a good idea and he would not vote for it but would give a weeks salary to help and urged his fellow Congressmen to do the same. They passed the bill and not one other congressman donated to the cause. I don't know if this story is true or not but the message is very clear to the Congress and the Government IT IS NOT YOUR MONEY TO SPEND ANY WAY YOU WANT. Listen to the people or we will have our political coup in November. "Why don’t you say something nice instead of being a smartass all the time?" Biden said a few minutes later. He is also heard saying "What do we owe you?" Biden is heard saying in footage captured by WISN-TV. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/06/27/biden-calls-custard-shop-manager-smartass-taxes-comment/

You know I find it funny how people are upset about a vice president jokingly calling someone a smart a$$ (then saying he was kidding, which MOST sources FORGOT to print). But, they applaud another vice president for telling a representative on the floor of the house to go f**k themselves. Can someone please explain to me why this is?

Ok...so I guess Biden is now as bad as Cheney...wow. I would not have gone THAT far...but you do kinda have a point. why is it ok for Biden to be a jerk because our last VP was an even bigger jerk. Shouldn't our standard be that none of them be a jerk?

Lil, Biden was kidding with the guy, and the guy agreed. I heard him yesterday on Hannity's show, the guy said that Biden was joking with him, and people blew it out of proportion. Imagine that; The right wing hate media blowing something out of proportion. That would NEVER happen!!!!!!

It's not that Biden or Congress or 0bama doesn't understand how our system works... they do understand. The don't like how our system is supposed to work and they have nothing but comtempt for it. 0bama said he was going to "fundamentally change" our system and the destructive behavior of him and the liberals are part of that change. They know exactly what they are doing.

That is what the TEA Parties are trying to tell them to follow the Constitution.

When the President says "its complicated" that is usually a clear indicator that it is not indicative of our Constitution. In my opinion, they should just follow that little antiquated piece of history when legislating. But thats just my opinion. Then it wont be so complicated because they will be operating under their authority.

we all know Biden is a joke, but they're all the same, thats why we have to send congress a message in november, as you said "THEY WORK FOR US "

You know the first we gaffs Biden did were funny. I was willing to say well that is jut Biden...but as time goes on and he just keeps saying these things I am starting to get annoyed. I mean come on...he is the VP...not a stand up comedian. Joe..take the job seriously and stop being an a$$. And this man is second in line for the big job...wow.

More Fox dis-information. Yes Biden says many things that he probably should not but he is also one of the smartest people to have ever graced the Senate and their is not a senator alive that won't agree with that statement. His forign policy is always a decade ahead of anyone's. He understands it better than most.

Yet he can't keep his foot out of mouth....makes you wonder. Is it because he just can't help coming off as an a$$....or is it because he is "so brillant" that he thinks he can say whatever he wants and get away with it?

No it does make him stupid. he is a politican...not just any politican..he is our VP..which means everything he says ends up on the news. How hard is it to think before you speak? Especially when you are the VP of United States of America. It does make him look stupid when in a speech he does not think before speaks and asks a guy to "stand up so they can see you better"...and they poor guy in question was in a wheelchair. He makes himself look like an idiot.

I think he opens his mouth without taking a minute to think about it. That does not make him stupid just honest.
