I just love fireworks and every year i buy lots of them for new year. What about you? What's your favorite thing to light? I admit i used to love crackers and had pretty powerful ones too but i don't like them now that i'm older. However i understand kids because i was the same and won't be angry if someone throws one and scares me. I imagine it's a bit different if you have a pat but still can't people let kids have fun for those few days? When i was ten someone grabbed me and hold me in the air and said he'll beat me if he ever sees me throw another cracker. It was in the time that crackers are allowed and i didn't see him or the dog or i'd wait for them to go away. I didn't stop using fireworks tho I like expensive batteries the most now because you just light the fuse and enjoy the show but before i liked rockets because i never really used big batteries. Are you a hater or a fan of fireworks?

I love them and am married to someone who also loves them and respects the danger they can cause. Ironically as a child I was terrified of the ones that just made a loud noise, but I overcame it and now I see a good display at least once a year if not more so..We are friends with these women who actually run a fireworks store and they also put on a display..So I gotta say, I love them...

I don't know any shop owner or worker but would be grate if i could get more for less. I usually spend more than 100$ for new year but i also have a neighbour that must know someone because he puts on quite a show. Why shouldn't one love fireworks...they are beautiful, colorful and are suppose to make bad spirits go away. Thank you for your comment firework lover

Well I don't know about chasing away spirits, I know it scares my puppies though..lol I am glad you reminded me of this too, because I need to know what to do with my pups as the 4th gets closer.. Yeah, I think my husband loved it when he made friends with the shop owners..Not only that, my kids love fireworks because when they were little, (well my 8 y/o still gets it) they would spoil my kids and give them free stuff..:) So yeah, you can believe that other than the communities display, we see quite a lot on our on road too. And a couple of neighbor have money and usually put on a show too except one scares me since they think they can shoot the fireworks over the cove towards our house..They haven't caught anything on fire yet, but the guy obviously isn't as safe as he should be..

How nice of them that would be like a dream come true for me when i was yunger. Wouldn't mind free fireworks even now. I live in a block and i also had some accidents with fireworks that didn't go where they were supposed to go. I once placed a powerful battery at an angle so it wouldn't hit the roof of our balcony and it fired a few shots than turned and shot powerful rounds into our window. The force was so great that a picture actually felt down and glass in frame was shattered. Lucky for me window didn't break or mom would be very angry. And i once fired a rocket over next block's roof and it exploded over my friends balcony...oops. All good so far but if you're not lucky you can get seriously hurt so be careful people.

I love fireworks, but it's illegal to have them where I live. Sometimes we can get them from another city and bring them here, but apparently you will be fined if you get caught. I love sparklers - hee hee - simple and pretty and it's a small "thrill" that can last if you get many boxes of them. I loved those flower ones, but they're kinda scary as it can go any which way it wants to go while spinning!! I liked those snake pellets . . . not really a firework, but it's fun to light them up and see the snake curls - ha ha. I really enjoy a big firework show though - not something we can do from home!

I'm in the US - in California. There are areas that allow fireworks, but not in our area. I guess they are fire hazards since we have enough brush fires throughout the year. But I know people will sneak them in here (hey, I've even heard that the cops sell them to other cops at the station!!). I can't remember if the snakes were green . . . I think they were rather charcoal looking. I remember the had the night snakes where you could see it burning like a pattern. I haven't lit either in years.

I like fireworks very much I like to watch them very much. They can be really loud but over all I really enjoy watching them and I think that they are remarkable to watch and I think they are amazing. I look forward to seeing them every year on the 4th of July and I have always absolutely loved the grand finale, that is always quite a site to see.

Our mayor does the same this new years fireworks display lasted 10 minutes and was great but it was a bit foggy. And also at nearby lake there is a display every year in summer because it's a tradition so even tho fireworks are banned you can enjoy them in the middle of summer which is great

i am definately a fan of fireworks. As a kid we went to a small town where they would light them off at the school and now as an adult i moved back to that small town and will be able to view them from my porch..I don't however light them off...

Seems like many people just like to watch them. I can see why because that way it's free but it's a thrill to light them as well and i enjoy it a lot. At least you're relatively safe if you don't light them unless someone else makes a mistake. Thank you for your comment

I have always been a fan of fireworks. I love watching fireworks shows and displays to watch how they marvelously cover the sky with their very colorful accents. My family used to buy lots of those when I was younger until my uncle had an accident when he didn't release the firework as fast as it should be, he lost his finger after that. So, for safety reasons.. we now just watch fireworks from our neighbors during New Year and witness how spectacular it displays.

I am neither a fan or a hater of fireworks. When I was a kid, I enjoyed them but now older, I don't have a bit of interest in them. I don't care to watch them, and I don't want to hear them if they will make it harder for me to listen to a television show.

slovenc1 I love fireworks and my grandpa used to set off a ton of them every fou rth of July too. We held sparklers in our hands and set off rockets,. that was the most fun but now days kids have their fun and then some. in the last apartment complex I lived in their fun and games cost a condo as the people were not home. the kids threw a bunch of lighted fireworks up onto the roof of the condo. That condo was gutted by fire by the time the owners got home from a fourth of July party, and all because of 'lit fireworks on a shake roof.. I am all for children having fun but not for burning down other peoples property.we used to go to the firework show every fourth of July when we both lived in Tustin. the city dads planned a great program and the whole town would turn out to watch the fireworks display. they put it on at the Tustin High School football field and it was free. I have missed that the last time as we had lost our apartment and both of u s had to find alternative housing for each of us.

kids burned down apartment? Did police find them and what were their charges? They should have been more careful if they didn't do it on purpose. But if they did they would probably do it anyway. It must be great to live in Tustin if everyone gathers for forth of July. All i get from my neighbours is "hi" and an anonymos warning letter that if i won't stop using fireworks there will be consekvences.

I don't really like fireworks. I think they are okay in big, well-organised displays with lots of safety precautions, but I think they are dangerous. Every year, people (usually children) get injured, burnt and killed through fireworks accidents. I think they need to be regulated more. Anyone can buy them and I don't think it is safe. Last year, we saw some kids setting off fireworks at night, letting them go off in the road!!

I love fireworks. I like really big shows of fireworks. I don't typically buy them and light them myself but I go to shows and watch the big ones go off. It's really pretty!

Personally, I don't like fireworks very much, I think that this is burnt money. I think that authorities could do much more good with the money they spent on fireworks. It lasts too little and it is very noisy and could be dangerous as well. All in all, I think I can say that I am a hater of fireworks.

Thanks for writing a comment even if you don't like fireworks Burned money i've heard this comparison from my mom many times and it is partially wright. But you can always look at it differently. For example if you go watch a movie you also spend money on ticket and you could see a movie on tv. You get nothing physical from watching a movie you just have fun. And some people have fun with fireworks. About authorities...they spend much more money for other things they don't need. For example our authorities bought very expensive plane which they never used and is now for sale and we have to pay for maintenance. How many fireworks could we buy with that much money I agree one the dangerous part but anything can be dangerous if you're not careful. Anyway thank you for your comment, have a great day "hater"

i love fireworks. without it, the new year would just be as boring and not significantly different. it brings color if not to mention a welcomed noise to the occasion. remember to be handle it safely though : )

Safety is neccasery i agree. But you're wright fireworks really do bring the new year spirit in my opinion. Sometimes when there's no snow it is so depressing because new years is just like any other boring day. Imagine how lame would it be without any fireworks. Thanks for our comment, have a great day
