Hello! On this summer sun is very hot it is good, because we can tan our body enjoy warm water and swim. I have a problem yesterday I be on sea with my brother and dad. We swimming with other people. I tan only for 10-15 minutes weather was overcast then sunny. I to don use a suntan cream and now I am skimming. All my hands, stomach and legs hurts and my face is red. Yep maybe it is funny, but at the same time it is painful. Maybe you know how to discard from the painful? I have heard that sour cream helps maybe you know other things which can help on this situation? I do not have a cream after tan and I do not go to the supermarket maybe you know some homes methods? And the last thing does you ever has had this problem?

Yes, I 've had a sunburn. Have you tried Nivea cream (the German one, not the American one). It's good for sunburn...

The only thing that I have used in the past for sunburn and that I know works is to use aloe vera from the plant or pure aloe vera gel. You can buy the gel from the store.

I know how painful burns can be. What you need to get is some Alo Vera Gel. It is the greatest. It feels cool on your skin and is very soothing. It works miracles for sun burns. We always have a Alo Vera plant around and use it for stove burns and so forth. Then we got a large bottle of the Gel and use it all summer.

Ah yes, it can be very easy to spend too long in the sun while we are having fun! It is very easy to get burned by the sun here in Australia too. The best thing that I have found for sun burn is Aloe Vera. If you have an Aloe Vera plant, then that is the best thing. You just cut off one of the thick leaves and slice it in half, then smear the gel inside all over your skin. We have a few of these plants and this works really well. There are also lots of sunburn products on the market that have Aloe Vera in them, but the plant itself works better and is cheaper too.

I've been lucky this year in that I haven't gotten a bad sunburn, but that doesn't mean that I've never been burnt in the past because I have, I've been burnt quite badly. A couple of things that I've found that many people have in their homes that take the sting out of a sunburn are: aloe from an aloe plant. I know that a lot of people keep aloe plants in their homes. Also, white vinegar works very well too, it might make you smell like a salad, but it works really, really well.

You can actually get a worse burn when it is overcast than when it is sunny. Try cool baths with baking soda, or cool washcloths on the painful area. Some people like to put vinegar on the burn. You can use regular aspirin, taken orally or in a solution, dip a rag in it and apply to burned areas. Use a moisturizer if you have one.

Aloe Vera is good, so if you have an aloe vera plant or some aloe vera laying around the house you should use some to get rid of the pain. Sorry I don't know of any other remedies, and had never heard of sour cream as a remedy either. I burn easily.

Hi, ET28LV. When I go to the beach, I will make sure that I have on suntan lotion. If not, my skin will burn and sting like crazy! I have learned from this many years ago when I went to the beach with my relatives. It was dreadful. I could not even take a shower. My skin was peeling off. And the sun cooked my skin. It was horrible.

The sun can definitely fool you so please be sure to wear sunscreen the next time you go to the beach. A bad sunburn can lead to cancer. What you need to put on your skin is lotion. One containing Aloe Vera is the best but anything that will help keep your skin hydrated will help. Sunburned skin is very dry which makes it tighten up and that makes it hurt more.

Hello! Yeah, is very painful when you stay under the sun for sometime. Nay, I don't get sun burn at all, personally I am very tan. Thus, I 'll stay away from going under the sun. If you tan for just 10-15 minutes and feel pain that means the weather is very hot out there. Hope you get well soon...

I have not experienced having sun burn in my life. It's because I'm always prepared with a sunblock whenever I go to beach with family and friends. However, I know one ointment you can use as a remedy. I don't know any home remedies. The only remedy I can think of as of this moment is Vandol Ointment. It's good for soothing pain and helping heal minor wounds and burns. It's the ointment I use for my 9 month old son to protect him from diaper rash. The ointment is also good for dry skin. You might want to try it.

I haven't had a bad burn since college, I did get a wind burn in 1985 - OUCH! I don't know if you have it there, but if you can find some aloe vera, it can help - ALOT! I had some put on a burn on a finger (you know, a real burn with blister and everything) and after about an hour it stopped hurting, and it really didn't hurt again except when it was touched.

Hello ET. The problem you mentioned here is the one that I have in every summer when I get out in the sun for just a few hours. Then my skin becomes red followed by painful feeling the next day and then it becomes dark. Once it gets dark, it can not get back to the previous skin color until after the whole winter without the arm suntanned. Take care.

Hi ET, If you have an Aloe Vera plant, break the leaf and put th juiceof the plant on you, this is what the sailors used to use for sunburn centuries ago and still does work, if not get something with aloe in it cream wise touse. If you have tea tree oil, put a few drops into a luke warm bath and bathe in it for a while this will help with the healing process too. Huggles. Elles. Ellie :D
