I saw this sweet article on a man who worked for a city and was cleaning out drains in the road and found some rings. And ironically it was a class ring from the same school the man had gone to in his youth. He found the owner of the rings! How crazy is that?!?! Awful nice of him to recognize the persons initials and even try to return them. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/38261184/ns/local_news-seattle_wa/38269828 I've never lost anything down the drain that I wasn't able to catch that I am aware of. How about any of you mylotters? & how did you get it back?

Well that have never happened to me before but i have seen it happened to someone. Her phone slipped right out of her hand and drop right in the sewer on the road. The only way to retrieve it was to go down for it before all the slime soak in the phone. She was a business woman and could not have went down in there and mess up her clothes. At the same time she had important things in her phone and she needed to get it back. It wasn't even an expensive phone though. It was just an average phone. But she got it back in time. How you may ask, she saw a mad man passing and she had to pay the mad man to go down there and get it. She had to pay the mad man half the price of the phone. At least she retrieve it and the only thing was wrong with it was that it was dirty and needed to be clean. I would say that business woman was lucky.

Hey 3SnuggleBunnies! Well as soon as I read the title, I was getting angry. you see, a couple months back, I had my cell phone and I went to the public washroom. I had not meant to do this, but it just happened. So then I bend over, by accident,, and my phone accidentally falls out of my pocket! You know where it ends up? The worst possible space! Inside the toilet! Not only was I angry, but was also furious! To my astonishment, I look down at the toilet and you know what I find in there? Yellowish, brownish water! Now I was enraged. I saw the hole at the bottom, which was small, and thought that if I flush, the cell phone might stay in the toilet and the water might get clean. So I flush because I didn't want to put my hand inside! And as soon as I hit the handle to flush, all of the poo got all over me cell phone. Now I was enraged! I had an important call coming, so I couldn't miss it! Enraged, I hit the handle as hard as I could and to my astonishment, everything in the toilet flushed down the toilet. I was looking with my eyes wide open! As the cell phone went down the toilet, It started ringing the ring I would usually get if someone were to be calling me. When I got home, I call Rogers and tell them that my cell phone went down the toilet, they started laughing and I never saw my cell phone again. That important call I was supposed to get was for a job interview, and I unfortunately didn't get the job. I got a new cell phone with the online money I make, but I am still angry at that one moment that happened to me! hopefully what happened to me doesn't happen to anyone else! that is a very devastating moment! Anyways, I might get another new phone with the earnings I get online and from here! Hope this was a good story for you! Have a great day and have loads of fun mylotting! Punjab911

I have to say I feel so sorry about your phone as well as your job interview. But I have to say that it is really a humorous story which amuse me and my friend a lot(Sorry if these words may annoy you). Ur series of changing emotions also put much interest in your 'sad' experience.

hi 3SnuggleBunnies I did not lose anything down the drain but I lost something when I was shopping in Vons a few years back. In getting my Vons discount card out of my billfold somehow I mangaged to drop my checkup book with its account and all. I did not know I had lost it until I had been home an hour or so and someone knockedhard on the door to my apartment. A nice looking gentleman stood there holding out my checkbook with its checks still intact and it account pages. He said, you miss something, I looked at it in horror and then thanked him profusely. Had he not been so honest I could have been in trouble. My account number was on all my checks although he wouldn't know my password either. but it was really so sweet of him,My address was of course on each check blank so he had no trouble finding me.

The only thing I ever lost down a drain was a contact lens, and no I did not get it back. :-(

I've never lost anything down the drain that I am aware of. However, as I shared a couple months ago, I was reunited with my wallet from when I was a teenager after sixteen years. It was amazing to me that someone would go through the trouble of looking me up on facebook so that I could be reunited with something of mine that belonged to me in a totally different part of my life. I thought it was really neat and it was like a walk through history to go through that wallet.

If I lost something down the drain, I don't know that I would want it back. No, of course if it was something like a ring I would be very happy to have it back. I don't think I've ever lost anything down a drain before. But give me time.

well havent our drain has a some sort of a removable screen for this reason. It would be depressing when your in the shower and your wedding ring or some valueble came down the drain.
