what is your biggest pet peeve

I hate being lied to too, but I try not to let that bother me as much. Most of my friends and I have an honest relationship. We are pretty laid back so we don't have reason to lie about the small or big things. We learn to work through most of our problems. Sometimes people are not even aware that you know they are lying. That bothers me. I usually just go to them and tell them, I know they are lying, they just need to be honest with me. I am more apt to help them or give them what they want or need if they just tell me the truth and don't try to hide it.

That is a big one for me too. When it comes to my husband and my kids, I can not stand it when they sigh. My husband does it all the time when he gets upset. I will ask whats wrong and he says nothing. But I know something is wrong because he is sighing. I cringe everytime they do it.

Hello Robin! Lovely to hear from you, hope you are ok! My biggest pet peeve is bullies, having been bullied for most of my life, nothing flags up worst than a bully, I was bullied as a child, through work and through my exes. For me lying is acceptable only because for me I need it to protect myself. If I hadn't lied I wouldn't be here now and that's the truth, we all have our own pet peeves, some we tolerate others we can't and for me bullies will never be tolerated.

I am in the same boat as you are, there is just nothing worse. I hate it and I think it's because it has been a part of my life for the past 59 years. I have turned myself into being a recluse for that very reason I just can't be lied to anymore.

Oh, that's a good one! That's one of my pet peeves as well. My biggest pet peeve though has got to be people that smoke around kids, whether they are their own kids or not. Not only are they teaching these kids a terrible habit, but they are putting them in danger as well. You think in this day and age people would know better to do that, but unfortunately it still happens, and it makes me mad...not to mention sad for these kids. On the plus side there are some laws now to help protect kids. I know in California it is illegal to smoke with minors in a car. However, it's not much of a law. Apparently you have to be pulled over for another violation in order to be cited for it. But at least it's a start...

We have the same biggest pet peeve, being lied is so hatred coz I love to do honesty. Liars justify their doings for their self protection and satisfaction. But I 'm not wasting my time dealing those silly things, instead I've doing good things to wake them up to reality.

I hate being lied to also but I did have my fair share of lying to someone. I have many peeves actually. But what tops my list are traitors. I don't know how they do it sometimes without having to go through with their conscience but that makes me mad. I have a series of incidents regarding about being betrayed so my wall now is hard as it can be. Like I am careful at my utmost on who to trust because when I gave my trust easily before - they take advantage of it. Some lessons are learned in a hard way.

I'm right there with you on the whole lying thing. It makes me feel like the liar thinks that I am stupid. I do think that for the most part people lie because they don't want to hurt our feelings but I am always amazed at the lies that people tell when the lie is about something so minor and so silly.

Being lied to is one of my long list of peeves. But I suppose my biggest one is wasting time. I cannot stand looking for something that I left in a particular place then have to scrounge all over the place back and forth looking for the item. When finally found it upsets me oh so much as I cannot stand wasting time.

biggest pet peeve is people promising things to me like telling me that they will refer me somewhere a job or what and then just DISAPPEAR! They better tell me if they wont be able to do what they had promised than just disappear without saying anything at all. I would be losing my trust in them the next time, and that if they tell me about like that next time, I will no longer believe them anymore.
