Life can be tough sometimes. Problems seem to overwhelm us from time to time. Do you find yourself praying for God to solve all your problems?? Do you call on God to make the tough decisions for you?? Do you lean on God or are you hanging on for dear life?? Is God no more than a Crutch to help you make it through life?? Every good parent wants their children to be strong, wise, able to stand on their own two feet. God is no different. God wants you to solve your own problems, work them out, learn, grow, and become strong by overcoming them. God wants you to be able to stand on your own two feet. So many religions teach that you must be perfect and make no mistakes. This is Not God!!! God knows that the struggle to attain wisdom can not be accomplished without mistakes. So stop worrying about being perfect!! Be brave! Make your choices. Learn from them. Grow strong and wise by overcoming the problems. Stand on your own two feet for awhile. You are more capable than you realize. God is Unconditional Love. He'll have His eye on you regardless. Let's be strong and wise. Let's show God just what we Can do. I believe in you!! God does as well!!

I find comfort in praying and asking for help from God. Once I can put my problem into words and start expressing it I find that solutions seem to come. If I try to talk to a person on some of the problems they always have questions or want to explain something to me and I do not get to see the problem clearly as I do when I pray to God.

That's because God's ways are higher than our ways. When we talk to people esp. those that has not grown yet in the Lord they offer us advices that seems good but are not right or that they seem to confuse us with their words. But with God he gives us wisdom when we ask.

The first step in solving any problem is to define the problem. If we can't define the problem, can we ever hope to solve it?? Running to God might be a cheat in a way but might also be a smart thing. After all, we do know God already has the answers. Still, we are capable of solving most every problem that comes our way. Thanks everyone for all your comments!!

I agree wholeheartedly with you. As a pagan, I have been taught to lean on my gods, and seek strength and advice from them- but not to blindly depend on them. The gods help those that help themselves. We each have a destiny, or life path. And we each have the responsibility to walk that path on our own two feet. Nothing is simply given to us, or what would be the point of living life?

Very good. So much more is learned when we discover the amswers rather than have them given to us. So often, it's our problems and adversities that force us to hunt for an answer. Adversity does breed invention. Thanks for stopping by with your comments!!

hi bird 123 you know my mom always said God willhelp those who help themselvces as she believe we should at least try to help ourselves before just throwing in the towel as we can always do more than we think we can. When I was going through physical therapy for a shoulder joint replacement my therapist would encourage me by saying come on you can go another few feet, you can always do more than you think you can and its so true too.He was teaching me to walk with a cane as I had balance problems that had led to the f all and the smashed shoulder bones. Also I find I have hidden resources that I had not tapped on much as I always leaned first on my husband then my adult son. So I have learned several things about my computer and c and do some things for myself now.

Yes I find that when I am overwhelmed with problems either I asked God to make them go away lol or wish it was the ended of the world lol. But as I have matured and has grown in the Lord instead of asking him to get me out of hot water I learned to ask that He give me the strength and the courage to face my issues, grace to keep me standing and wisdom to make the right decision. It made all the difference in how I handle my problems. Because when I asked God to make them go away instead of asking for grace and wisdom, I always wanted to run away from my troubles and become fearful and angry sometimes bitter. As I learned to ask God's wisdom and His grace and look upon the Lord instead at my circumstance I learned to stand grounded on his words and faith arises. Then one day I just realize that I was able to overcome my problems not because I am perfect or smart but because of the goodness of the Lord.

Problems can indeed be scary. As you say, running never solves the problem. It is a lesson that we all must learn that problems need to be faced then overcome. Problems so often lead us in a new direction for exploration and learning. I know we never want to avoid that. Thanks for all your comments!!
