I loooove Halloween. I'm always looking forward for it every year. I love dressing up for Halloween but I love creating my costumes even more. I've made costumes of Edward Scissorhands, Wizard of Oz, and many Nightmare before Xmas. This year, I am still debating what I want to do. How do you enjoy Halloween? Do you or children dress up? Do you make your own costumes?

Not long until October 31st. HALLOWEEN. Personnally halloween is celebrated in my country, but, to be perfectly honest I have absolutely no idea why or what it's al about. Any help on this topic would be nice, if I dont reply straight away it's because I am trying out my new witches outfit. PS what's with the pumpkins ?????

That's interesting! I thought most of the world celebrates Halloween in the same ways but I just looked it up on Wikipedia, to see that it is not. I guess the pumpkins are solely a symbol for N. America. I guess in the traditional Celtic Halloween they used turnips!

Halloween is my favorite holiday. I LOVE everything about it. I made my sons costumes for the first few years, but now I'm trying to give him a chance to choose for himself. Since he has Autism, he won't look through a pattern catalog and pick something out, he needs to see the costume first hand. So now I take him to the store to pick out a costume. I hope someday to be able to make his costumes again, because I really enjoy it. Last year was the first year he picked out his own costume.

I hope you get to make costumes again too. But that's great you are letting your son choose. Hope you have a great one.

We are so lucky in Canada to have Thanksgiving in the middle of October, 2 weeks before Halloween. Thankgiving is a time for feasting, while all that happens on Halloween is dressing up, ghosts, and other creepy-crawlies! We always have a stuffed Turkey for Thanksgiving. There is a family dinner and everyone eats Turkey, with stuffing, Cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie with whipped cream on top! Who cares about Halloween?

Like I wrote, I extremely care about Halloween. Why are you lucky to have Thanksgiving in October? So what is the meaning of Thanksgiving in Canada?

I really love Halloween as well. As I live in Canada, my mind is more on Thanksgiving, but I do enjoy Halloween. I find that it's really enjoyable holiday and such.

I'm not into horror movies, but I still like halloween for some reason. I don't actually do anything on Halloween, but I have been invited to some parties this year - that are costume parties! It gives you an excuse to be silly, dress up, and go out and drink. LOL.
