Do you read different books in winter?

I think because the nights are longer and I can't do stuff outside I tend to read more so I'll pick up more books in the winter and longer, heavier reading material. Do you find that your reading material changes with the seasons?

Not really, i read more when i am at home, so doesn't really matter if it is winter or not, maybe because i live in a city where the winter is not so cold. I just know that i read more when is raining, because i don't leave home too much (only to work) when is raining.

It's not really something that I do. I usually just read the same types of books all year round. The only difference is perhaps the specific book that I read, but it's not really type of book.

That is a really good question. I'm not really sure. I probably do read heavier reading material during the winter. I think I'm more willing to get in depth with a book because the good weather is not distracting me.

Not really because I'll just read what I can get my hands on. The important thing is to be enjoying what I'm reading not the type of book.

No really. Right now I'm trying to read all the books I have in a tub. I'm a slow reader, so I know it will take me through the winter to finish all of them.

My reading habit doesn't change according to season. I never go to the next book until i finish one, be it summer or winter. I only read what I find interesting the size really doesn't matter. I think if you have interest on a book then you end up reading it without worrying much about season, size or any parameter for that matter.

Not really. I just read whatever I can get my hands on is all. If I want to read it, then I will read it, if not, then I won't.

I usually read foraging books in the warmer weather and romance in winter. But I'm thinking about going back to playing my dulcimer and I'm taking wood carving (see my discussions). So definitely, I will be reading differently for winter.

Well, I find that I don't read as much in the summer months and if I do it is usually self help because I am feeling better and dealing with that more. Where in the WInter I read more fictional because I am more depressed then and a fictional work keeps my minds detached longer and in a more positive way.

Nope, my reading material typically stays the same all year long. I'm always reading big long books and little skinny books and toting a book around with me wherever I go. Sometimes I have periods where I slow down a bit because life gets busy, but mostly I just read whatever I want while I'm on the go.

I have not thought about it, but I do not think it changes with the seasons. I tend to go through periods where I will read more, but it has nothing to do with the seasons.

Nope, its nearly always the same for me, I need to always have a book to read and lucky me that im part of a family circle and we all share books. They always end up here and I keep them all as theres nobody else to share them with after me. I couldnt live without a book!

Yep, I also think my reading habits change a bit with the seasons. I spend more time at home during winter, so I pick heavier books, very often classics. When it's snowing outside and you're in your room, with a cup of hot chocolate, it's more inviting to meditate and to concentrate on important things in life, without all the distractions of summer.

What I read does not change but the amount of time I read most definitely changes during the winter. I still read the same types of books. In fact when I have made specific attempts to find different material to read I gravitate back to the same material.

No, not really. I find that my reading material changes more with the mood I'm in. Depending on what I feel like, I may prefer to read shorter stuff, or perhaps books with different mood themes.

My actual reading material doesn't change too much with the seasons. The only time I would say that is true is when I read specific books such as Christmas books in the winter time and books that take place on the beach or in the summer during the summer time. Otherwise no. I do tend to read more in the winter like you said because there is just more time in the day because you can't do as much outside n such.
