God's Plan. Do We Have to Thank God if a Woman Get Rape And Then, Get Pregnant?

I heard it many times that God created humans because God has a purpose on it. I was thinking that if a woman was raped and got pregnant, is this also a God's plan? And if ever a child was born, do we consider it as blessings from God? What if you really don't want to have a child because you have been raped by a guy? And then, you decided to abort a child, still, it's a sin, then what a woman should do? Thank God for having a child even if she didn't like it? ---or let us say, she must accept the situation that happen to her because it's a God's plan? What a woman should do? Be proud because it's a God's plan or she just ignore the teachings of the church and abort the child even if it is a sin? So, what is the best solution? ---or better, not to believe in God, but what if we die and there is another dimension waiting for all of us?

Actually you are mixing things over here, One is God`s plan and one is sin. God never told you to do a sin, he has given you two path, right path and wrong path. Now in you statement you put every thing on God, from here you mean that God is responsible for rape of that lady because it was his plan. But you havenot mentioned any thing about the person who rapped her. Does God said to him that go and rape that lady. I totally disagree with you. As in every religion, this is sin and God has clearly said, any person who is doing this thing, is on wrong path, not on God`s path, so how can we say that it is God`s plan... I think that person has chosen his path, now he is not on God`s path, any thing, he commit is not in God`s plan, however, God is kind, if this person, ask God for forgiveness, then He ll definitely forgive him...

Well, Like i said, it's free will that is also causing the violence in this world and not because of GOD. that's why we all have to be careful with people now a days. I never believed that being raped is part of a divine plan, i never believed such thing. that's why we live in the world, we are all tend to suffer, but a test i believe can determine who and what we have done before we meet the lord.

Yes. My mother told me that the Lord Jesus Christ give us free will. I've also asked a question to my mother about why here on earth has so much suffering and violence. She bought a "book" and the title is "The Driven Purpose" and the book is very famous. My mother explained to me "that everything has its purpose" and everything is "according to God's plan" so, I understand what she's trying to explain to me. My mother too, believe in "free will", but she's also believe about "God's plan" written on the book and this really made me totally confused. What a woman should do? Is it okay for her to abort the child since she's just been raped by a guy? She didn't want to have a child. Do we consider it "not a sin" from God if she abort the child? She really didn't want to have a child because she's just been raped-- a traumatic experience that she would never ever forget or she would just keep the child because almost majority of people would say that to have a child is a blessing from God even if she didn't like it? This made me totally confused.

God has foreknowledge, but does not predestine things to happen to us or by us. If He did predestine events, there would be no need for any of His commandments since everything would have been preordained and we couldn't be held responsible for any of our actions. However, what happens here is not predestined, but happens because of man's willfulness. Whether or not a parent considers their child a blessing from God depends of the individual parent. It was God's plan that we should be fruitful and multiply, but that doesn't mean everyone should be a parent. If a woman becomes pregnant as a result of a rape, it is neither a blessing nor a curse from God. It simply happened because the conditions were right for it. I do believe that abortion is a sin because you are killing the most innocent and vulnerable among us. The unborn child has no way to defend itself. It's at the mercy of the mother and abortionist. Besides, an abortion won't erase the trauma of the rape. I don't believe a mother should thank God if she isn't thankful. That's lying. It might be difficult, but the mother should carry the baby to term and if she can't stand the thought of rearing the child, give it up for adoption. Don't let an evil act produce another act of evil.

Just because God is all knowing doesn't mean He's going to be pulling our strings like we're a puppet and forcing us to live the way He wants us to live. He has given us the freedom of choice, but He has told us through His prophets and His written word how we're suppose to behave so that no one can say they didn't know they were sinning against God. That being the case, when someone behaves badly or breaks God's laws, it isn't God who should be blamed, but the individual who did the misdeed. If a woman is raped, that is not a cures from God. It is the man's willful disobedience of God's will. All of us do have a purpose in life, but not everyone follows what God has purposed for us. I can assure you that God never purposed any man to rape a woman. God knows when the sin of rape occurs and since vengeance belongs to God, He will repay. God's purpose for us is to have a loving relationship with Him and with our fellow human beings, but He's not going to force us to. If we love God, we obey His commandments. If we love our fellow human beings, we do unto them as we would have them do unto us. If a man rapes a woman, he is showing that he neither loves God nor his fellow human beings.

Help me to clarify things. Help me to clear my mind. I really don't understand. I thought, God is "omniscient"? I thought, God is perfect? I thought, he has "unlimited knowledge"? I thought, he knows everything? I thought, he's perfect that he already knows the past, present and the future? If it is a curse, why would God cursed a woman who didn't do anything wrong? If it is a man's willfulness, does it mean that it is a woman's will to be raped by man? And it is also means that the book bought by my mother about "the purpose in life" is wrong? --because the book has quoted many verses in the bible and "one of the verse" in the bible that the author quoted is "that all of us has a purpose in life".

i would not thank God for this... I might question him for the results.. but i would put more blame to man than to God on this situation. the rapist is a human after all, with his own mind, own decision and own will to action on anything he has thought about - like being a scumbag and raping a woman... Sometimes we mistake all the things happening in our lives as God's will. he does not intend us to suffer - and he has not planned for a person to become a criminal, right?

God planned the exact date and time that each of us are born. and we are all part of god's divine plan. therefor if a man rapes a woman then that man is to be congratulate for fulfilling god's plan.

Hi Introvert, I'm afraid you have a habit of making sweeping statements regarding spiritual matters. If the pope can read your opinion, he might have a heart attack (LOL). In the first place, God doesn't want bad things, everything God caused to exist are good. Your implication that rape is not good is right. However, to suspect God as the cause of the act, is wrong (see the starting sentence). To charge God as the sole culprit of everything that transpired in this world is a result of false logic: i.e. God, in his infinite goodness, created everything, caused everything, ergo, God is the ultimate cause of everything. What is wrong with this logic is that it is self-contradictory. Something good cannot be the source of something bad. A good, clear spring cannot be a source of polluted water unless its state is altered otherwise. The key to this whole argument about why there is evil in everything made by something good may be found partly in the human nature itself. Like the angels, man is created in the image and likeness of its creator. Man has wisdom, knowledge, intelligence, soul and spirit. Most of all, man has the ability to CHOOSE his own destiny; this is free will. Man is not a machine directed by somebody above and over itself. The freedom to choose include good and evil things. With all the creative attributed to man, it is no wonder evil has always been a part of it. It is up to the human race to choose what is good and proper. Anybody wants to become evil, God, even with a bleeding heart, cannot prevent it. The creator has foreseen that the created thing, given the attributes of a creator, may someday go against itself. The only safe option is to go the way God has always shown us. Heaven is not a reward nor a destiny for those who has no free will to go for it. God does not want to drag anybody screaming against his will into heaven. Man, like God, is capable of doing good. Sadly, man also capable of doing evil as well. Your choice is as good as mine.

Ah. Okay. I understand what you're saying. I also believe in "free will" until my mother taught me that "everything here on earth has a purpose in life" even if she believes in "free will". She told me that if we have problems, we should take it us as a "challenge". If something bad happen to us or if someone do evil to us, the only lesson that I learn is its a God's will so, I should not blame him because everything has its "purpose", but since you said that people have "free will", I guess, I should not believe about "the divine plan" and I guess, I should not believe about "God's will" but still, I'm confuse because every time there's bad thing happen to me, they taught me that I should not be "discourage" and "don't be angry" of what happen to me because they would say it's a "God's will" and "everything has a purpose" so, that's it. It is really contradict to "free will" and I don't know which one is correct if it is a "free will" or if it is "predestine" since both of them are in the "bible verses".

Hi there IntrovertShy, Your response to my comment has me thinking for a while. I have to go back several years, back to my classrooms at the university in search to the answers for your questions. Then I realize, we spent two whole semesters discussing, researching and arguing about similar things you brought up here (Philosophy 30 on Moral Ethics and Philosophy 25 on Religious Beliefs). We were graduating seniors then and if we cannot satisfy our Jesuit mentors, no diploma. (Whew), but after a lot of sleepless days and nights,... the rest is history! Until I rediscover the suitable answers to them (I can no longer go back to my mentors, I have stood on the graves of the three of them, others have gone elsewhere) I shall not post more arguments regarding this topic to avoid misunderstandings that may lead you astray. Until then, just keep up always the good works no matter what.

NO! When a woman gets raped it's horrible. I know what it is like, and I was glad that I wasn't pregnant after it happened to me because I didn't want his baby, that baby would have been a reminder to me of that horrible night.

G-d has a plan but in His plan He gave us freedom of choice, Bad Idea! This means if He Really wanted us to not abort babies He wouldn't have given us the brain power to create the procedure. I do believe in g-d but I never want children Ever. I do All I can do Not to get pregnant. If I am raped and wind up pregnant I will have an abortion. If my birth control , Both of them, fails and I get pregnant I will have an abortion, period. If I have to go to hell for my choice , fine! I rather live my life the way I choose and then personally go to hell then , be forced to have and raise a child I Never wanted and raise a serial killer! Lack of love and respect Does create an evil person. True I could have the child and give it up but can you Guarantee the child will go to a loving home? That they won't turn evil when they find out their birth mother Doesn't want Anything to do with them?Or they won't try to find me and ruin my life? So I rather take the blame and whatever punishment and have the abortion.

God gave each human free will, and that person has to accept the responsibility for how he or she uses or misuses that free will. In your scenario, the man who forced himself on the woman misused his free will and will have to suffer the consequences of his actions. Whether he is caught by the police or not, he will have to answer to God in the day of judgment. If the woman feels that she cannot love the child she was forced to conceive, she should consider adoption.

What the lady should do is to search her heart then be who she must. It is a part of the plan. She shouldn't worry about stepping on God's toes. God is ahead of the game. A soul isn't placed in the physical body til after birth anyway. God will love her UNCONDITIONALLY regardless of her choice. People will learn from her choice regardless of what she chooses.

If someone rapes a woman and she gets pregnant then it is not God's plan but it is the plan of Satan. It is a situation and not a normal occurrence. It is a sort of accident and whenever accident occurs then those involved in it are to be blamed. It never happens because of only one person's fault. It means while one was making a mistake the other had not been careful. If man commits a rape the woman had not been careful. God does not want accidents to happen. The child born out of rape can never be a blessing from God because the child is not born out of love but out of hate. The child is bound to have some genetic defects. He is bound to have some characteristics that would be inimical to the society. The society must now decide what it must do with the child. Let it be born or destroy it.

Hi ! We do a lot of things and say it was God's Plan. We have to choose for ourselves. God guides us and does not force us. He just wants us to learn, not merely follow. God Bless all Women. May no man do that to anyone. God Bless :)

This kind of disturbing to me. Belief in God is a hard topic to discuss. Sometimes it rouses debates or something. but I would truly say that everything has a purpose. God do not plan anything bad for His children. I think He wants to give us every good things that He can give, but we as a human being has our own mind. God will not control our mind or our freedom to do things that we want to do. A woman might me raped get pregnant, decide to abort the fetus but God do not make it happen. It is the human that made those things. I think God plan for us like what He did with the creation of the world but He do not plan to control us and program us like a robot to do His bidding. But I believe that God is always with us, guiding us in the right path.

No of course not, rape is violent and that is never in His plan. The problem stems from the fact that we are full of sin and that G♥d did give us free will..He doesn't control us, we can do what we want, and man does this. Not that a rapist will get away with it, if he isn't judged here by man, he will be judged by G♥d later..

Hi IntrovertShy, My ideas are very different from that of most people and therefore I see things in a different light. I believe that we agree to all of these things before we are born into this life. Whatever the women chooses to do about the baby is her choice and God does not condemn her one way or another. Blessings.

Hello introvertshy, Bad things happen and something doesn't want us to experience but sh*t happens. remember that GOD gave us the choice, if he never grant us free will, i doubt much we would have VIOLENCE in the world.it's really entirely up to us whether we do good or bad, the person that we are is the choice that we make in life. I don't think there's another dimension, since another version of you also existed there.sometimes there are things that we didn't want but it happens for a reason. It's her choice really, but never blame God for it. i sure won't.

See the way it works is different from what you might think. God takes credit for all the kind and good things that people do. but all the misfortunate and bad things in are satan's doing.
