I was watching sports unlimited. Marc and Rovelson is going to cambodia for 8 days. They are tons of exotic food. Have you ever tried eatings extraordinary food like bugs, tarantula and etc. Would you dare to eat? Even just for the sake of experience?

I guess I missed this show but it does sound interesting. I have been to Cambodia but I was not adventurous enough to try any of the exotic food. My cousins were really into the tarantula and they tried to get me to eat it but I couldn't. I think the most exotic thing I've ever eaten is balut. It's a boiled fertilized egg (usually duck) with an embryo inside. Apparently it's very popular in Asian countries. But I've eaten everything except the embryo before. It's actually not too bad when you dribble some lemon/pepper sauce on it.

I've never had the opportunity to try things like tarantula, however, when I was in middle school, one of my science teacher brought in some chocolate covered bugs and was willing to share them with students if they were able to get parental permission. Well, my mother worked at the school and told the teacher to make sure and have me try them. So, I had the opportunity at 12 years old to try chocolate covered grasshoppers. I have to admit that it wasn't bad at all and I would do it again given the opportunity.

hi syoti I am sure some foods are delicious but tarantula and bugs is not going to do it for me as the idea is already making my tummy turn over just thinking about it. Seafoods yes, tarantulas and bugs no no no. Maybe cambodian fruits and veggies that might be really good but not bugs.

To be honest, bugs don't look very appetizing to me. I prefer fruit. When they eat bugs, do they eat them fresh or do they cook them? Are they delicious without spices? No, I think I'll skip this banquet of bugs. Do you have any fresh fruit?
