I Mailed My Christmas Cards Today, Did You? :)

Canada
December 1, 2010 10:01pm CST
It's December 1st, and all of my Christmas cards are on their way to my loved ones. My husband and I ordered personalized cards with our names on them. We love creating wonderful new Christmas cards every year. I ordered them nice and early, wrote them, hubby and I both signed them, and now they're on their way. Has anyone else sent their cards out yet?

I think you could go to the bank knowing that I probably will never send out cards, especially as expensive as postage has gotten, I don't even mail bills if I can avoid it!

Now days E-cards are available and it takes less time and most people are using it. The good thing is that there are lots of websites offering lots of selections.

I am very slack & haven't done that yet...I always leave it way too late to mail them out so they unfortunately sit around till the following year...i=I have my christmas presents organised so maybe I should get off my butt & get out the christmas cards.

Ooh those sound nice! I actually only send out a few Christmas cards to close family members & friends, but it's not an official, yearly type thing. I usually just buy some cute cards from Target (or somewhere, anywhere that has cute lookin' ones lol) and send them out about a week before Christmas. Merrryyyy (early) Christmas to you!

Hi, I don't celebrate christmas and never send christmas card to my friends now. When I was young, I used to give christmas cards to my classmates. We are like exchanging christmas cards with each other.it was kinda fun when talk about my childhood. Since now internet is so advanced, we can simply send an electronic cards to our friends.

I stopped sending out cards a few years ago. It just got too expensive to mail and I found very little time to do it. Plus, with the convenience of the internet, it's easier to send e-greetings. I usually send a bunch of cards in one envelope down to hubby's family in PEI with my girls' school pictures in them, but they didn't get any done this year. I'm almost finished my Christmas shopping, and then I have to write my clues (in rhyme format) for our Christmas Eve Box hunt.

I no longer mail the greeting cards because it is slow and it also costs some money. I prefer to send E-card to my friends much more. It is also environmental. I love China

christmas card - christmas card with an x... no cards
I was in a little car accident in the middle of november and had to leave my car to be repaired in a town 4 hrs from where I live. I had a lot of my scrapbooking supplies in my car. I can't believe its been almost a month and my car still isn't finished so I haven't had a chance to make any christmas cards. I won't be getting my car back until december 15th so I don't think I'll be doing any cards this year. I'm kinda broke so can't afford to buy new materials. Also there are no scrapbooking stores around here. I think everyone will just get merry christmas texts this year. ... and of course send my positive energy their way.

I'm still working on mine. I love making unique, individual cards for everyone on my list. This year, I've learned a few new craft ideas for cards, so I've been trying them out. I love making 3-D cards, not the kind that pop up when you open them but those that have several depths of things on the front of the card. I bought a Cricut machine when it was on sale and am having a blast with that, especially because I can now make 3-D snowflakes (out of craft foam or tagboard) for my cards, something I've wanted to do but found it too difficult if I had to cut out all the little spaces by hand. Anyway, I should be able to mail my cards by the 10th. That's the plan but I'll mail them whenever they're all finished, before or after the 10th.

Danish- As everyone I know is online I send out personalized online greetings to each family member. In this economy I cannot afford to mail by post so this is a nice way to remember people. It is the plus of having technology because if this was before the time of computers I'm afraid we'd never speak with family via snail mail. Namaste-Anora

I haven't sent out my cards yet, but did receive my first one in today's mail (Dec. 2). I did buy some stamps on Saturday, though (Shopper's had a 10% discount on them).

That's such a sweet idea sending out personalized Christmas cards. I've thought about getting the photo greeting cards for my family. I didn't do that this year, so maybe next year. Merry Christmas by the way!

I havn't sent any one, and no one would be sent. In our country, the Christmas isn't so popular. However, we'll say" Marry Christmas " to each other, especially in school. The happy without borders.

I usually do that to my friends. but ever since a couple of years ago, I stop doing that, instead I called them, or send a card through email. That might save me some money right?

I wish I did. I think it would be too late for me to send Christmas cards to my aunts in Kelowna. It takes a month or two if I'll send it from here in the Philippines. I guess, I would make it earlier for Valentine's. I am now reminded to make cards for the next occasion. Thanks!
